  2. Hello @mina7601! At the moment I am extending the documentation with a short explanation for each menu item. And I have improved the visibility of the windows in some programs. I am also trying to improve my programs with regard to false positives from virus scanners. My Avast doesn't like some of them although they are absolutely clean. Therefore, still a bit to do! But the release will come very soon. Due to the false positives of some virus scanners, I am now trying to switch to another compiler. All programs that I have created myself will then have to be recompiled and, after that, rechecked on VirusTotal.com. I will make these results available when I release my program package ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3. I hope it can be released on Sunday. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  3. @XPerceniol I would be interested in that, too! Your issues were very strange as far as I could see. Hello @XPerceniol! I was very busy last week and only now realize that you never replied to our request. What's going on with your computer? Did you manage it to work again? Could you restore your partition completely? And BTW, I gave you some recommendations and tips for trying to get rid of hard drive failures here in this post: Have you considered to perform any of these methods? Anyway, hope you are well, and, take care of you! Cheers, AstroSkipper

  4. If there will be language file in UTF-16 LE BOM format, it should work without issues probably. I'm not sure how works AutoIT strings-file handling.

  5. you're welcome , be sure to rename it to crashreporter.exe , NOT to crashreporter.exe.txt.

  6. @THK2003 , WerRegisterRuntimeExceptionModule function registers a custom runtime exception handler that is used to provide custom error reporting for crashes. The key words are "error reporting" , so this is yet another spying "feature" . Absolutely not needed . Try replacing crashreporter.exe with a blank file. Create an empty txt file . Rename it from "New Text Document.txt" to crashreporter.exe and replace. Actually, you can replace all *.exe files in the firefox folder, except the firefox.exe itself.

  7. Yup, I exploit it regularly. Mozilla threw it out in recent Firefox versions it seems. And that support goes beyond title bar; context menus, checkboxes, buttons, menus, all these items are covered. On Win11, even native themes don't bring back window borders. Maybe with WindowBlinds...but c'mon, might as well buy a Chromebook or run ChromeOS Flex. I miss the times when unique aesthetic meant something.

  8. WinNTSetup 5.4 - support for Windows 24H2 and Server 2025 - added arm64 and x86 versions - language files prefer MUI names - support for RTL languages - use only one DISM session - fixed Windows 7 ESP drive mounting - updated Windows 7 USB3 drivers instructions - new disable defender tweak includes Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool

  9. I am updating the root certificates using a utility Cert_Updater_v1.6: Once started, it automatically downloads the current version of all root certificates and then installs them. After that it shows the date of each of them. Just run it every 3-6 months and all system certificates will be up to date.

  10. ... That's NOT accurate to say ; while both OSes are NT 6.0, per your linked documentation: Windows Vista SP2 x86 & x64 Official Extended Support was EoL'ed on Apr 11th, 2017 : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-vista It is indeed true that the WS 2008 SP2 targeting updates released some two years after Vista's official End of Extended Support can be installed manually on the OS and bestow SHA-2 support on it, but this practice isn't considered "official" by either the vendor (Microsoft) or the rest of the third party vendors (Norton in this case ) ... Kindest regards ...

  11. To be on-topic again, I have already completed my documentation. Now, I am testing different compilers and restructure my files to get rid of false positives from my AV scanner.

  12. Thanks @mina7601 for your objection! But, since we now have a proxy that supports TLS 1.3, and my part in the game was also work, a bit of off-topic should be allowed. And I'm improving my language skills with the help of @Dave-H and @VistaLover. I think a bit of fun and distraction in my thread really can't hurt. Also, I love my smileys as you've probably noticed. But thank you for your raised fingers , and you know I don't like to be off-topic in general. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  13. Maybe, we are all a bit trapped and need to be released!

  14. Thank you very much for the hint! You're absolutely right! When I read it now, I feel a bit like a prisoner and hope to be released!

  15. That's very funny! In the German language, the word 'WIR' means 'we'. For example, "Wir warten auf das Release vom AstroSkipper.", translated into English: "We are waiting for the release of AstroSkipper.". But you're absolutely right! WIR, I will release it.

  17. Hello @XPerceniol! Many thanks for your detailed answer! As you can see in the quoted post, I have always seen you as a member of our team. But I respect personal decisions, whether I like them or not. The beta test is over now, but, after releasing my program package, we can try to check why your computer refused to participate in the beta test, either officially in this thread or privately via PM. That's what I can offer to you. It's up to you! However, in your long reply you did not say, whether you tried to perform any of the methods, which I posted in another thread to fix your hard drive, or not. I'd have been interested! Cheers, AstroSkipper

  18. Hello @George King and @Taiga-chan! Thanks for your recommendation and replies! I am always willing to learn new things and expand my programming skills, indeed. And, as I already said, I'll put the multiple language support on the test in due course. But, it is not a high priority for me. Other things in the development of my program package are much more important. The world is international. There are a lot of programs English only. I am mathematician, and consistency is very important for me. If I wanted to add a multiple language support to my program package, all English strings would have to be translated, i.e., the strings inside PopMenu, the menu items of PopMenu, all documentation, and all outputs of my programs. Therefore, the effort would be much greater than it seems at first sight. At the moment, my program package is still under development and will change from version to version. Logically, this continuous development has the highest priority for me. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  19. @AstroSkipper There is no problem with "hacking" your compiled string and translate them. It's just recommendation (and learning experience), with MultiLanguage support using simple TXT / INI file for few string P.S. Release stable build first, then try to go with MultiLanguage support

  20. I know that very well! I am German, and English is not my native language. But these few strings of Engish in ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3 shouldn't be any problem for non-natives. And there are translation services like Google Translate or DeepL. My documentation can be translated in any language in seconds. Same for all menu items in PopMenu, and they can be replaced easily. No language skills are necessary! In any case, supporting multiple languages was never a feature I brought into the game and is not a high priority for me. But, as I already mentioned, I will put it to the test later. A "too late", I don't see, though. Users of Windows XP, whose support has been discontinued for years, are likely to focus on the functionality and benefit of a software rather than its language. And one thing is clear, the added value of ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3 is enormous!

  21. That question about IP ranges was already answered (by me) , just scroll back . Yes , version 5 is good. You have to block under firewall/network policy/blocked zones and press "add" IP range.

  22. Actually this is my discovery, so should be polite to mention me. And I still do not have any answers why the much beloved russian (KGB or not) repackers "missed" out that important part completely. I mean , c'mon , russians are so cool at hacking (that's what they tell us on TV , no ?) , so how come they didn't "notice" ? Actually, they "missed" out lots of telemetry parts and codes generated by 360 Chromium to link each user to the PC he's using at the moment and much , much more... https://msfn.org/board/topic/182304-extreme-explorer-360-chromium-78-86-general-discussion/page/15/?tab=comments#comment-1194253

  24. Apologies accepted , peace. Yes , I told that before , it is not my default browser. But it may very well become one in the future , once I remove the rest of the bloat. Why ? I'm looking for a solid browser without the need of the Vista's extended kernel because I use Vista without it . As of now , I wrote a programme that launches it in "sandbox mode". Why in quotes ? Because it's not as simple as it may seem , it is actually a hybrid mode with many features disabled/enabled , somewhat similar to what developers do when testing browsers. For example , this programme disables various code generators in 360's engine and I just can't tell everything because it would be too much to type and I'm not fond of typing . In short , I made it's launch blazingly fast and secure and I will not need to manually hex the .dll each time I want to use another version , since the programme will pass on everything I want to the main.exe . I still need to figure out how to disable some ports that left. I wanted to ask why do you use 2206 and not the first version 11.x.x. ? Do you really think chinese are fixing Chromium bugs ? lol

  25. Also , I do not have anything against you personally , but this seems quite strange (just sayin') , I mean about how you insist on using repacked software from russian websites , typing in CAPS and all . I took a look at that site . It is a common russian warez website with tons of repacked commercial software. Is this even allowed by the moderators to redirect to such websites ?

  26. It really feels like something personal . What do you want to say , smth like "Dixel is giving a bad advice" ?! The poster clearly stated to you that he wants to use the original version and it is too hard for him to download from your link , did you see it ? It is his choice . So I'm giving the advice based on his wishes. It is very obvious, if you use another version (repacked) , the outcome will be different , no ? Errorpage.zip and newtab.zip is not connecting to any websites . lol. By deleting it you simply remove the chinese new tab and error warning in their language . Also , simply replacing 360.cn in Hex Editor won't give you the desired result . It would be too easy , wouldn't it ? You definitely need to dig much deeper . They aren't that silly to just left everything in the open ...
