  1. UK isn't in EU for a quite long time. Remember Brexit voting results? A very beneficial (again) result for whom? Right, Russia. As for those extradition threats, I'm not surprised, honestly. GB just behaves like it always did, the Master of our Universe. But are those purely British intentions, aren't they just mimicking the old times? That said, don't forget the amount of money invested in UK by Russia's oligarchs. Are there any British (Western) funded media left? I'm afraid, not. From what I observe, yes I read British newspapers - UK sings Russia's songs. Example, Guardian has a billionaire Russian owner >link<. BBC can be renamed to VOR (Voice Of Russia), the same goes to the German DW. How Russian state funded Telegram is any different? It worked on the international market with only one goal - help Russia destroy the West and make money on those illegalities. I'm sure our Chief Prosecutor knows what she does. France has one of the best Intelligence services, by the way.

  2. Nothing odd, simple data mining by the Russian FSB. I hope you didn't give them yours.

  3. In as much as I want to help you, I can't, nVidia doesn't publish docs on drivers, and there were no leaks recently. About the thing that the official drivers won't work, I knew it, and I wrote about it. That driver is old batch, simply because they added security fix and the date of publishing went from June 2021 to 2024 won't magically add this newer card. They lie, again.

  4. BTW, I have never seen that a Serpent version can be grayed out.

  5. Long story short. Some months ago, I lost the complete session in my main profile of New Moon 28. No chance to restore this session. And the "Restore Previous Session" entry was greyed out as usual. I think the user can't rely 100% on the native "Restore Session" function. If tabs or sessions must not be lost, it is better to install the Session Manager extension. And the "Restore Previous Session" entry doesn't seem to work at all, at least in New Moon 28 or Serpent 52. But maybe, someone knows more about this "Restore Session" stuff.

  6. The charges against Pavel Durov have been published by the French authorities: What is of interest to Telegram users, I'll translate. - Complicity - Administration of an online platform to allow an illegal transaction in an organised band (gang, as in for organised crime, bandits). - Refusal to communicate, at the request of the authorised authorities, the information or documents necessary. You all are very welcome to seek for better translations. Source: French Security Researcher Baptiste Robert His verified account: https://www.x.com/fs0c131y

  7. Given the all-out panic by the Kremlin concerning Durov's arrest, it is clear that Durov was a critical Russian asset and there will be direct implications on the ground for Russia. They call him the "Chief of Communications for the Russian Armed Forces". This all D.Draker wrote all the time, and long before. @Cocodile seemed to be one of the few who listened, Will now be the mass exodus, what other members think? If so, where will you go?

  8. I can confirm that the Session Restore feature still works in the most recent Serpent 52 from 15.08.2024. Here is a screenshot: But why is the Restore Previous Session entry in the History menu always grayed out? I haven't seen this entry activated for a very long time, no matter what happened in the browser session. Or to put it another way, under which conditions will the Restore Previous Session entry be activated at all? It seems to depend on the setting "Remember history" from what I read, but this is activated in my profiles by default.

  9. Aren't those 473, 474, 475 are simply "security fix" drivers? BTW, did you see the result? https://msfn.org/board/topic/186055-3050ti-3060ti-3070ti-and-3080ti-laptop-gpu-driver/?do=findComment&comment=1263435

  10. When you give them your phone, even if it's not yours, they still know your location and record the voice, they will prove it's you, when needed.

  13. @D.Draker Tested it on a powerful computer. Core i7 3770K overclocked to 4.4GHz, 16GB DDR3 RAM overclocked to 2133MHz.

  14. The basic gist is that Telegram is one of the few social media platforms that did not accept censorship demands of foreign governments, for good or for bad. Pavel Durov even had this MO when he ran VK. https://t.me/durov/179 He is being charged with the crimes of his users. What makes his situation different from other social media CEOs is that all the other companies work with governments to censor their users, not just criminals or political opponents. I think these charges cannot stand because it basically means that any "webmaster" (the term used in the French complaint) is reponsible for illegal content and if so all social media platforms would go away. Also this is another situation where a government is trying to enforce laws on a company that is not in their domain. UK has been speaking like this recently when it says it will try to extradite people from other countries who violate the UK speech laws, even if that person posted on a non-EU site.

  16. Mountpoints are calculated, but if you want to do it manually Look up the data of the new partition under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices and add it to the offline systems registry \DosDevices\C: value. I doubt that. VHDs are unique, you need to updated the BCD for every new VHD.

  17. Yes. As you can see in the screenshots, the menu bar has already been enabled. The File, Edit etc. menu is located at the top left of the window. The background colour is blue, the font colour is white. That's why it is only difficult to see in my screenshots. I only unchecked the bookmarks bar. In any case, all is working. The CSS code #tabbrowser-tabs { visibility: collapse !important; } only hides the tab bar and nothing else. When you assign to the ID tabbrowser-tabs, which determines the tab bar, a property in CSS, then only this ID will be modified and nothing else. The last two screenshots show how Mypal 68 can be retrofitted to still get access to all open tabs when hiding the tab bar. I removed the CSS code .tabs-newtab-button { display: none !important; } to get back the New Tab button, which is the class tabs-newtab-button in CSS. I then manually moved it to the position shown in the screenshots. BTW, may I remind you what I already wrote: Cheers, AstroSkipper

  18. No you don’t need to have it installed. I builded updated 2007 setup with all updates from Windows 10. We can build FINAL 2007/2010 setup for XP x86/x64 and it doesn’t grow at all! So If Enterprise had 570Mb setup you receive like 600Mb setup! And installation time is same like without any updates Its really perfect

  19. @Cixert Good job! Summarising all our findings is a good idea. However, I noticed that you didn't mention any exclusions. Did you end up without any additional exclusions in the corresponding ExcludeList-xxx.txt files? Especially when downloading .NET Framework updates for Windows XP? In the latter case, for example, I had to set additional exclusions to avoid the download of incompatible, unnecessary updates.

  20. Today’s Russian papers on Pavel Durov’s detention in Paris: * “If Telegram crashes, how will [our army] fight?" Courtesy and copyright of BBC.UK. (translated papers with English subt.). 21. Agreed, that "works". But that is not for me. I want my cache completely cleared for "normal" exits. It is my view that starting from windows and tabs from last time is a form of tab hoarding that I highly discourage. But "to each their own", of course. Which I guess is just a long way of saying, "personal preference", lol.

  22. TBH, what are you talking about profile rebuild process? Simply unpack the most recent version of Serpent to a folder and create a new, clean profile without any modification! Then test the Restore Session functionality! It's that simple. No rebuilding of whatever. First checking if it is now working at all. When done, you can rebuild whatever you want to. And I bet you that the result will be that Session Restore works, but the Restore Previous Session entry is and remains greyed out.

  23. Although I am behind a router with a NAT- firewall, I always use a software firewall to control all incoming and outgoing connections. There are programmes installed in my system I do not allow to connect to the internet. Furthermore, I always use an antimalware programme. All in all, I consider such an configuration as a basic one when it comes to the matter security. But all that is not yet an answer what is going on with the Restore Previous Session entry of New Moon's or Serpent's History menu.

  24. Thanks for the tip! Maybe, this helps next time in a crashed profile where the Session Manager extension wasn't installed. But unfortunately none of this answers what is going on with the Restore Previous Session entry. Apart from that, I have started using the OneTab extension more intensively again to not lose important tabs anymore.

  25. Right, we aren't trying to "PROVE" anything. We have you for that. Give us your version of events. We don't insist of anything. What about the website (bank? utilities?) that blocked you from XP? Isn't it the same case?

  26. It's an undisclosed, "ancient" version (like @Multibooter puts it) version of Comodo Firewall 6.3.297838. @Saxon, 5.5 looks different, it has no aero.

  27. Besides, what other proof do you need? It's very easy reproducible. Also, the screens are posted at the github's link I gave.

  28. I can't even test the captcha, on Vista it blocks me immediately, that said, I'm certain it wants to see the "good" CH result. Why? Because if I block CH via --disable-features=UserAgentClientHint, I immediately get the same result on 7, too!

  29. Basically, what we wrote you about the R470 branch being too old for that GPU. A big lie from nVidia is nothing new! This time you have hard proof, talk to the press. Back up the false advertising page. Sue them, I dunno, at least demand money back + compensation.

  30. I wouldn't go out and just buy a 3090 Ti, all of that because a random entity on the internet wrote it "worked" for him, just saying. Gather more info before the purchase!

  31. Well, that's the question for nVidia, I guess. nVidia swears it should work, officially. Look under the supported products. https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/197673/en-us/ Probably you need to contact the laptop manufacturer. There's a well known fact when manufacturers implement artificial blocks against certain OS.

  32. I was just making sure. From what knowledgeable people tell, that series of drivers can't be modded due to the fact that 3050ti's BIOS recognition model is missing from the driver files. Inf modding won't help.
