So, have you found anything yet? I'm pretty sure that the original installer was stored somewhere on the Windows system partition. When the uninstaller is called to change features, you can check which files are accessed. I assume it'll be a MSI installer.

8.4 does indeed have the ugly UI I was talking about. It had been introduced somewhere in 2012. I never tried anything higher than 6.x, not sure about the UI in the others.

Any inf can be generated, so? The driver itself has nothing new, except security garbage, which is declared by Nvidia officially. It's the same branch (very old) R470. If I wanted to install a Comodo Firewall 6.x.x version, I would go with Comodo Firewall 6.3.39949.2976 as it is the last archived version. You know I personally prefer Windows 10 Firewall Control XP Plus which I have been using for many years.

If you want to use prefetching for faster loading of websites and their content, you should untick this option in uBO to avoid interference. But prefetching and DNS prefetching shouldn't be mixed up.

Hello again. Pale Moon 33.3.0 enables DNS prefetching by default. However, that now clashes with the default uBO setting "Disable pre-fetching (to prevent any connection for blocked network requests)" which disables it in the browser every time. Perhaps it's worth considering disabling that default setting in uBO. In any case, the user can still make a choice. More info here: uBlock Origin will interfere with your DNS prefetching setting

@Anbima and @w2k4eva! Any in-depth consideration of certificate issues in 360Chrome are browser-specific issues and are actually rather off-topic here. In any case, this here is not a 360Chrome browser thread. Such issues should be discussed in one of the countless Arctifoxie 360Chrome threads. And just for clarification, this has happened several times there in the past, without any real solutions. 360Chrome 13.x had problems with certain sites and their certificates from the very first. This will never be solved as this ported browser has not been developed further for years. The only way to solve certificate problems in these browser versions is to use ProxHTTPSProxy. On some problematic sites, the Windows 2000 compatibility mode also helps to show the padlock and green, secure HTTPS connection under Windiws XP. I have tested all this myself, and it works. Or use a more modern Chrome browser in Windows XP as, for example, Thorium which does not show such issues!

I have been using this trick to execute all more recent versions than 360Chrome v11 in Windows 2000 compatibility mode from the very first. But it doesn't work for the DeepL website in 360Chrome v13.5. Using ProxHTTPSProxy solves indeed this problem. While doing so, I noticed some strange effects. Enabling the System Proxy mode in the Proxy Switcher extension doesn't work in the same way as enabling the Manual Proxy mode which of course has to be configured correctly. Although DeepL was shown properly in 360Chrome v13.5 with the padlock and green coloured https, the ProxHTTPSProxy logging window shows clean, green connection entries only in the Manual Proxy mode. Thus, I changed some proxy settings in the IE8 and, however, got finally clean, green connections entries in the System Proxy mode, too. In any case, that was the actual reason for my last recommendation to use the Manual Proxy mode instead of the System Proxy mode in the Proxy Switcher extension to avoid having to change the proxy settings in IE8.
