sp52 started working in build 20191102, so I'm now applying same patchset to sp55 to see if this can fix this issue.2 points

No. The file will be played according to the codec it contains. It has to be converted first to play at another resolution.2 points

This website is causing a crash in today's 52 and 55.0 versions. It worked last week so appears to be a new problem: https://wiki.mozilla.org/RapidRelease/Calendar Edit: tried in Safe Mode and it still crashed but with a new profile it's coming in so it's probably some revised setting in about:config.1 point

Hi "Jet audio 8.1.10 basic" has the integrated jet video module in its program which means that you can play the videos in jet audio...so no need to install jet video which doesn't add anything extra by an additional video converter .1 point

... For more than a year , Serpent 55 is incapable of properly/fully loading: https://web.archive.org/ (referred to as WAO henceforth); below, a screengrab from a fresh St55 profile (latest build): The error appears to be jQuery related ... OTOH, the UXP forks have no problem properly loading WAO (screengrab from latest St52 - dirty profile): Dear @roytam1 , can you investigate and identify which feature from UXP needs to be backported to St55 so that it, too, loads a working version of WAO? My default is St52, most people here know already , but sometimes, especially with GitHub, I also launch St55 ... Thanks in advance, best greetings!1 point

@XPerceniol All you need is to poke two settings webgl.force-enabled webgl.disable-angle I may think to set them default next version. While grey_rat wants to make it for ancient videocards like gma900, sure i wont waste the time for this for now.1 point

Hi for windows xp sp2 I have no BSOD problems with mpc-hc. For xp, lav 78 does not optimize hardware acceleration because it only manages dxva2 (D3d11). Mpc-hc for xp needs dxva1 for hardware support. The solution is to find an external dxva1 filter so that the GPU of my old ATI card works fully in hardware support, which results in leaving the CPU free when viewing. for the youtube mp4 1080 stream and other videos I use the external dxva filter installed by the "jetaudio" software on mpc-hc 2.1.2.18 by adjusting the expert parameters "YDLMaxHeight" 1080 and "YDLVideoFormat" 11 point

You're welcome, could also try Microsoft catalogue, and don't chase the newest drivers, I still run a 2006 driver for my LAN, it's better than the one from 2009. https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=1 point

Dave, but you wrote the disk is seen fine with a direct connection. Well, technically it's not 100% direct (it's still uses a SATA cable, but another one).1 point

While I have no troubles helping a non-English member, it's still advisable you finally switch to another software for the forum translations from English into your native dialect. It's just easier, rather than asking every time you don't understand. self-sufficient /sĕlf″sə-fĭsh′ənt/ adjective Able to provide for oneself without the help of others; independent. Having undue confidence; smug. Sufficient for one's self without external aid or coöperation. https://www.wordnik.com/words/self-sufficient MPC HC is self-sufficient. It's capable of effecting all its own ends without the aid of others (in this case - third party codecs).1 point

"The easiest way to install multiple language Windows operating systems is to have one "senior" Windows version and one "junior" Windows version. For example, English Windows 2000 and Chinese Windows 98, English Windows NT and Chinese Windows 95." https://www.creative-wisdom.com/computer/windows/different_lang.shtml1 point

Depends on the level of your Japanese. If you're fluent, go with a Japanese installation. And I'm pretty sure I remember we had multi language Windows 95 installations at my military academy (I finished it earlier, in 1992, but had to study some additional languages in 1996-97, by that time they already had Win95), I know folks had studied Japanese there also, so shouldn't have to be a problem to run a multi LP installation, in theory. But probably those were some special military editions, I dunno.1 point

Yeah I see so many kids when out in public with their face burring on their phones and I hear their phone's notification sound going off and I wonder to myself do people need to that attention and to be on contact when in line as a fast food restaurant. Yeah, I also think its an addiction and that is interesting that you've learned to passive aggressive. I ignore it most of the time but I find people overall to be more like robots and in need of attention from others or they can't carry on on their own. I've never gotten it and don't really care to either.1 point

I have "learned" how to politely be "passive aggressive" with people on their mobile phones. Just yesterday during my lunch break, there was a line of 6 or 7 or so folks in front of me. The two directly in front of me were two young ladies in their early 20s or so. One of the two kept lifing her mobile phone every FORTY TO FIFTY SECONDS. And yes, I timed it !!! Just to tap the screen, scroll up on her app, see NO NEW POSTS, then flick the screen off and drop it to her waist. Only to REPEAT another FORTY TO FIFTY SECONDS later. See NO NEW POSTS. Then flick the screen off again. She repeated that BS for SIX MINUTES. And yes, I timed it !!! I laughed at her and she smiled and grinned and asked what was so funny. I politely chimed, "Do you see that thing as an ADDICTION, like any DRUG that RUINS people's lives?" She chuckled and nodded agreeingly and she never looked at the screen again for at least FOUR more minutes as we hit the front of the line. I could all but SEE the sweat rolling from her forehead, WANTING to lift that d#mn thing every FORTY TO FIFTY SECONDS but AFRAID to because the person standing in line behind her just told her she is no different than a DRUG ADDICT.1 point

... But now : Before I changed the link yesterday, I also checked it, as I always do. It worked perfectly. And today as well. No problem here to access the Malwarebytes box. Here is a screenshot as a proof when accessing this site via New Moon 28: I fear something has gone wrong on your side. Check the link again! Cheers, AstroSkipper1 point

The mature readers of my thread, who are really using and interested in security programmes under Windows XP, can speak for themselves They do not need a mouthpiece . Especially not if that person has given up Windows XP a long, long time ago (and apparently even Vista some years ago) and surfs the internet exclusively with an iPhone. If there are any questions, these readers can and will certainly ask them here themselves! Cheers, AstroSkipper1 point

As requested, the link to the Installer of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.75.0.1300 has been changed by me although it was the official link from Malwarebytes itself. Now, all readers who want to download this installation programme must click on this link themselves. Of course, I already wrote about that in this thread.1 point

I also tried to reactivate Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v2, but every time I wanted to update the virus definitions, I got the message: "Unable to access update server". The reason seems to be a certificate problem. This is the official statement: For fun, I also tried a connection via my TLS 1.3 proxy, unfortunately also without any success. The version I tried was Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.2.1.1043. The last database version was apparently 2022.5.20.4. Rest in peace!1 point
