  1. Panda product should work as intended because XP SP3 x86 = XP SP2 x64, no worries.

  2. Hello @Jody Thornton! I have just checked the extension New Tab Tools in my testing profile of Mypal 68.13.2b. As far as I can see, the version 90.3 runs fine there. Here is a screenshot: Maybe, you simply try New Tab Tools in the version 90.3. TBH, I never used this extension before. And some extensions still have some problems with Mypal 68. In some cases, I could observe that an installed extension had simply disappeared, although it was compatible and worked properly. I think Mypal 68 is not yet fully developed as far as extensions are concerned. For example, the automatic update of extensions does not work yet either. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  3. @tinman2000 The site loads and i can see it, but after some time the error shows. Console shows "A client-side exception has occurred, see here for more info: https://nextjs.org/docs/messages/client-side-exception-occurred" This is funny when i open that link i get the same error, not funny to think about how stupid modern developers, to break the whole site if some minor thing fails. You may write about this everywhere - let nextjhs make software for plane control whatever. I think the error itself will be fixed when will update engine to 91. @Jody Thornton How was it works before, remember what was changed and set it back, what about "always open in private browsing mode"? No such addon on the mozilla site, why do you want it? Why it messes with cookies? As for dom.indexedDB.enabled this do nothing, on mypal68 it is always enabled. Anyway suppose you have some backup, the regular new tab things are in the places.sqlite

  4. Yes, I meant if his firm paid for non-cheapo LTBG licences, why wouldn't they simply demand moneyback, if they ignore reports, lol. I mean, it should work with official software, period!

  5. I rather afraid of this. And I trust @Mr.Scienceman2000 and @Dixel. Not saying I don't trust you, perhaps you just missed the facts. https://msfn.org/board/topic/183138-mozilla-and-firefox-has-turned-into-evil-and-lie-to-their-userbase-leave-it-and-go-for-alternatives/

  6. What they claim, no one should trust. I remember Opera in 2016 did the same, promises, promises. I agree with @D.Drakerand @yoltboy01, and the fact it still works, is just some random matter.

  7. @WSC4! I already investigated the possibility to port definition updates from Malwarebytes v1 to Malwarebytes v2 here: That is the reason why I have come to this conclusion: For fun, I also tried a connection via my TLS 1.3 proxy, unfortunately also without any success. The version I tried was Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.2.1.1043. The last database version was apparently 2022.5.20.4. Rest in peace! Therefore, I don't think there will be ever a working solution for porting definition updates. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  9. Mypal 68 is not a fully portable browser. It writes additionally entries in the registry, needs files in the folder c:\Documents and Settings\YourUsername\Application Data\Mypal68 to find its profiles and uses of course profile folders where ever you created them. To make this browser fully portable you have to make a research in the internet. There are many sites which provide detailed instructions or tutorials for creating fully portable applications.

  10. You mean you will make the patch for hal.dll for build 6002 and 6003 ?
    2 points
  11. Yes, absolutely ! I ran Vista without this driver and without any issues, but the "bug" you're talking about was still there. The CPU ran at its maximum clock without the intel CPU driver. I want to ask, on Hawell x64 Vista always says the "logon procedure failure", so maybe need to search for the problem in its "logon procedures" ?

  12. Just like NT 6.1 and 6.2! But it's even better, means the software will definitely work on a higher OS build.

  13. Yeah I won't lie, I missed that post. Regardless of Firefox itself, other Gecko based browsers like Waterfox, which claims to be more privacy focused with no telemetry, might work on 8.1 for a longer time as well. You can obviously choose to use the browser you want. All I ment is that Firefox (-based browers) will be safer than Chrome after October, as Mozilla has extended 7/8 support till late 2024. Currently, it is harder to find/build a Chromium browser, based on the latest version, than to modify Firefox to work on 8.1

  14. If you go to the bottom of that website from that link, you will see: "Panda Security for Desktops is installed from AdminSecure. Read more about the requirements for installing Panda AdminSecure installation.", so yes, it is referring to a different Panda product.

  16. Thanks, AstroSkipper, for letting me know about this. I did not know about your post on July 19. I wish I had, as it would have saved me countless hours of trying to get it to work. The more I think about it, I am not surprised it does not work. Malwarebytes probably changed the design of the definitions file to be different and more efficient for their later programs. Also, they probably don't want people to use their old, outdated (their opinion) programs and encourage you to buy their latest pro version. I'll keep Malwarebytes 1.75.0.1300 installed, but I think I need to try more that you recommend. Your second choice is Panda Antivirus. I'll try this and let you know.

  17. I'm pretty sure he meant, did you report the false positives to Microsoft? Not the troubles with disabling.

  19. This story is hard to believe, they will never allow you to do it in a corporate environment, I linked to a simple solution, without third party software of unknown origins in your other topic.

  21. Hello @WSC4! I am glad that Malwarebytes 1.75.0.1300 is working for you under Windows XP 64-bit with the help of my instructions. I personally couldn't test it under this OS because I only use Windows XP Professional SP3. Therefore, thanks for your report!

  22. Just as an off-topic aside, on Windows 98 I'm still running an ancient Trend Micro antivirus program wonderfully named 'PC-cillin' from 2002. It stopped getting automatic updates over ten years ago, but I can still manually download and install the pattern files even after all that time, which I do every week. As long as the format of the pattern files does not change of course, there's no reason why you can't do that indefinitely.

  23. Again, when you writesomething, please elaborate. Meaning : write down the KB number, provide with links, etc. Articles are also very useful, even if old. And swearing is not necessary, especially in win32's section.

  24. Randomized ?! Well, looks like it has something to do with anti hacker protection. I remember this "Logon black screen of death" got way worse with SP1 , where they introduced a tougher anti-crack protection. That being said, I had (and have) a legit Vista sold with my PC, but it didn't have service packs at all, and when I tried to install SP1 in 2008 , I also had the crappy error with my new Core Quad, so I decided to stay on Vista without SP and the error went away. With SP1 it also had the same black screen , but only hard black screen without *some* of the services failed to start. The message was the same "logon bla bla bla". If I install x64 Vista ZERO SP on a haswell, it's still more stable, apart from the limited VRAM problem with my 12GB card, of course. It only allows 4 or so.
