Greetings. Thanks. And all the best to You. Is exist examples (theoretically) for OpenSSL 3.0.5 & Cryptography 3.4.8 fails? They switch x509 certs works from internal OpenSSL routes to Rust one. OpenSSL still work fine. Cryptography 40.0.2 2023-04-18 (that use Rust 1.48) also works (at first sight) at virtual system. But in real XP it fail because of SSE2 lack. I can't compile Rust 1.48 without SSE2... Cryptography 41.0.0 2023-05-31 - fail even in virtual because of Rust 1.56. Sorry, i'm not creator. All honors belong to @Dibya - Python 3.7 for XP and @whenever (from www.prxbx.com) - ProxHTTPSProxyMII: Reloaded I just put it together. Best regards.3 points

... Connecting to various "*onlyfans.com" hostnames through HTTPS with ProxHTTPSProxy as the MITM shouldn't be a problem per se : But in the actual browser (i.e. with a DIRECT connection), the secure connection to "https://ws2.onlyfans.com/ws2g/*" is being upgraded/redirected to a websockets connection, for actual OF content (images, videos, webfonts, etc.) to be correctly loaded/displayed: "https://ws2.onlyfans.com/ws2g/*" => "wss://ws2.onlyfans.com/ws2g/*" In my short tests, this is where ProxHTTPSProxy fails: ... apparently nothing related to "newer" cipher suites and decryption ... ... AIUI, that's the exact case ; Cryptograhy-41.0.0/Rust-1.56 doesn't work in Windows XP SP3, because it (probably) requires APIs/kernel functions not available under NT5.1 (due to Rust-1.56+ ); previous version, Cryptograhy-40.0.2/Rust-1.48, is the last one to work under XP SP3, but its official release requires the SSE2+ instructions set; since cmalex (re)compiles CPython itself and various Python modules from source (to make them compatible with his SSE-only older CPU), he can't produce the requested (updated) binaries on his current setup (he compiles stuff for) ... I think that cmalex specifically asked for such examples : ... Not everyone here will agree with that (I have NHTPG in mind ) ... Best wishes to the both of you ...2 points

What "free-speech" can be given for the developers of software that wear foreign, hostile nation uniforms? Be it Russian KGB Kaspersky, be it China military TikTok, India will do just fine without someone deciding for them, they know better how to protect themselves. I never insulted you, not a single time. You, on the other hand, insulted me many times, and it was based on my nationality/country/lifestyle. According to you, It's OK to insult the French, but very "racist" to not use your Russia software you shove down our throats. Here we see your usual double standards. But when people point out them to you, you feel "insulted". I returned from holidays, I expected they calmed you down a bit, but no! It's the same old you, on your usual old track, with the same provocative behaviour! In my opinion, you're very toxic for this forum. Nevertheless, I'm still waiting you ask me for forgiveness. The collection of screenshots/posts with your racial slurs and insults are at your disposal anytime. I understand it might be in your job description, but * neither MSFN is the place for scaring Western citizens, nor is the place for discussing wars. Please stop.2 points

All antiviruses became bad when they added cloud scanning. The only question you have to ask yourself is to which government you send your data to. Do you trust your government ? Or a government from another country? The reason US government say Kaspersky is bad is the same reason they say Tiktok is bad. US goverment wants the data of it's citizens. If everyone stops using Facebook, Twitter or any data collecting company that it's not US located they loose the data of their people. It's a war for your data. @Vistapocalypse I was using Eset 5 until it they stopped supporting XP. I have been too busy and haven't had the time to check Kaspersky on XP. Eset 5 was the lightest AV I've ever used. And I really appreciated their honesty when they allowed You to decide to not enable the ESET Live Grid. I quote: You will not lose any functionality in the software, and you will still receive the best protection that we offer.1 point

The reason I suggested to use CRT's iconsize attribute setting to large icons was that it might fix problems with other extensions in terms of correct toolbar icon sizes, too. In such cases, there would be no need to modify the affected extensions. The Photonic theme is unfortunately buggy. Therefore, you have to do a lot of trickery to correct any display errors of pop-up windows or anything else, as they do not actually occur when using the default theme. Actually, these extensions are working properly for themselves. I fear the truncated pop-up window of IP Geolocator can't be fixed easily. Using the Photonic theme, changes in IP Geolocator's file main.css are not really taken into account. Many settings are simply overwritten by this theme. I already tested that. I believe a proper fix can only be done to the Photonic theme by the author. Inside its xpi file, there are tons of css files. Trial and error would be a never-ending story. And TBH, I personally haven't used any themes at all for a long time, neither in New Moon nor in Serpent. Themes cause very often display errors sooner or later. At least, that's how it was for me.1 point

And if we are being "truly fair", to anybody that is "concerned" with CVE reports - "why are you on Win7 then?" Shouldn't the "sky be falling" with all of the CVEs reported for Win7? Afterall, "Windows 7" has 1,412 CVE reports to "Windows 10" having "fewer" at 1,195 and to "Windows 11" having "only" 81. Heck, "Windows XP" only has 656. NONE of these stop MSFN Members from using Win7 or XP. Or Vista with their 737 CVE reports. I am not "for" or "against" Kaspersky! But come on, let's be a bit more "fair and unbiased" in our discussions. Our "whole universe" should NOT revolve around a CVE report from 2019. There are ways to REMOVE the "unique Product ID" if you guys truly WANTED to, but the reality is that you'd rather "talk it down" as opposed to seeking/discussing SOLUTIONS.1 point

Thanks a bunch : (see what I did there? Since you changed your IP to a Greek one, I changed mine to a German one ) Technically speaking, your skilled coding just patched the specific extension to accommodate Photonium, i.e. Photonium itself wasn't patched with a generic fix for all WE toolbar icons (this was asking too much, I fear ) ; FWIW, not all WEs exhibit this very issue on Photonic, e.g. both Stylus and Violentmonkey's icons display correctly (not "oversized", taking the whole toolbar with them ) ... Again, congrats and many thanks !1 point

@VistaLover Here is a fixed version of IP Geolocator when using the Photonic theme in Serpent 52. I resized all flag images from 48 x 48 to 24 x 24 and saved them in a new folder img/flags/24/. Then I changed the code inside the file main.js in the folder js/: Original code: function setIcon(country_code) { var showFlags = lp.isSet(KEY_SETTINGS_SHOW_FLAGS) ? lp.get(KEY_SETTINGS_SHOW_FLAGS) : true; if (country_code == "ERR" || !showFlags || !(countriesSupported.includes(country_code))) { chrome.browserAction.setIcon({ path: "img/icon48.png" }); } else { chrome.browserAction.setIcon({ path: "img/flags/48/" + country_code + ".png" }); } } Modified code: function setIcon(country_code) { var showFlags = lp.isSet(KEY_SETTINGS_SHOW_FLAGS) ? lp.get(KEY_SETTINGS_SHOW_FLAGS) : true; if (country_code == "ERR" || !showFlags || !(countriesSupported.includes(country_code))) { chrome.browserAction.setIcon({ path: "img/icon.png" }); } else { chrome.browserAction.setIcon({ path: "img/flags/24/" + country_code + ".png" }); } } Screenshot: Now, the toolbar icon and the flag images are shown in a suitable size. SO IS NORTON, SO IS McAFEE, SO IS COMODO, SO IS AVIRA, SO IS AVAST, SO IS MALWAREBYTES, SO IS AVG... Use that database web site and perform some searches for other antivirus programs -- https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/search I'm showing 75 for Avast - read through all of them before using any Avast product and if they apply to the product you wish to use. I'm showing 90 for Kaspersky - read through all of them before using any Kaspersky product and if they apply to the product you wish to use. I'm showing 25 for Malwarebytes - read through all of them before using any Malwarebytes product and if they apply to the product you wish to use. 114 for Norton... 37 for Avira... 40 for AVG... 44 for Comodo... 482 for McAfee... No, that's not a typo, four hundred and eighty two... 3,019 when I search for Firefox... Again, not a typo - three thousand and nineteen... 38 when I search for Chromium... 3,440 when I search for Chrome... 6,728 when I search for Linux... Six thousand seven hundred and twenty eight... 557 when I search for antivirus... Hello @WSC4! Alternatively, you can check my article ProxHTTPSProxy and HTTPSProxy in Windows XP for future use under the section 5.2. There you can find everything important about Root Certificates. And under the section 11.2.4, you will find all downloads related to Root Certificates, including my most recent, self-created Root Certificate and Revoked Certificate Updaters for offline use. Of course, I couldn't know that. In fact, I thought that it was not meant quite so seriously. Mea culpa! But believe me, I was absolutely serious about the fact that when I was a younger man, I was literally jinxed by very special girls or women.1 point

While we all understand it's funny and you're a cool guy and *I never doubted it*, I was pretty serious about it. My maternal grand-grand mother was a certified witch, who lived almost 105 years and died only in '91, I still have her spellbook, so I know what I'm talking about.1 point

Yep! I can remember very well. "Bewitched", it was a sitcom. In Germany, it was translated as "Verliebt in eine Hexe". Retranslated: "In love with a witch".1 point

From what I had been told *a long time ago* from our local warlocks, to jinx someone is not actually means to cast a spell on him, it means to look at him with a warlock's eye, so-called "bad" eye. So it's not a spell. It's more like the first, simple stage. But if a warlock (witch) is powerful enough, it may go bad, like in his case. Look, he wrote "everytime"....1 point
-
Like I already wrote many times, you feel English better than me, of course ! As an example though, I don't think the OP would say something like "I had been damned or doomed." Doomed is more like it would mean the end for him. Like the total end. Hence "bad ending" in the dictionary. He would say more like "I had been cursed or jinxed." When one is jinxed or cursed it can be removed. In theory, of course.1 point
-
Not necessarily! Definition on thesaurus.com: cursed - adj. damned, doomed for bad ending. But unfortunately, we are non-native speakers, of course.1 point

1 - We have no chance to check what would they do in the 40s, if they had phones. Tiktok and others are being heavily financed with the money of CCP ( Chinese Communist Party ). Facebook(instagram) with the russian money. It is written all over the internet and no secret. Mask with the Saudi money (his startup, at least). So no surprise at all. Lots of possibilities with that kind of money. Lots of influence. Can do whatever they want 'cause it's not hard earned and comes from tax money. 2 - You're edgy ? Lol, no. Hell, no.1 point

Says who ? A man at around 50 can hear 16KHZ no problem, that being said, I don't. But I can hear up to 13KHZ or 13.5KHZ on another ear, which is below the standards - due to traumas.1 point

One of my ideas was a loop using the command tasklist. Unfortunately, loops do have the disavantage of high processor load. That's correct! Alternatively, a monitoring of ProxHTTPSProxy.exe is possible if it exists (depends on the type of call), too.1 point

1- I'm pretty familiar with 90's style , no . 2 - I didn't change any settings at all . I think it happened after I reinstalled Nvidia drivers. And the nice bug happened when I was using RTM. I can't replicate this. Got some time to test again , I'm pretty convinced SP1 (RTM) runs faster , overall better . I can clearly see the desktop is crystal clear . SP2 looks more like Win-7 , washed out , not clean , it is still better than win-7 , of course. I think I'll have a dual boot with Vista x64 SP1 and XP64 (RTM) with GTX980/Siemens.1 point
-
Thanks for the explanation . The absence of DWM is a big downside , that's for sure . I don't know what I did , it was so many attempts and testing procedures (trying various drivers , reinstalling again and again , etc) , but somehow I've managed to switch to "cartoonishly moving mode" instead of tearing . I do not know how to name it properly . It's like when I move a folder , it draws a new one (where I place it) , while keeping the folder in the previous position intact . In this "mode" the games that I run in windowed mode ran without any tearing , still slow , but without tearing . And now it's gone (the "mode"), after reboot . And I do not know how to get it back . Funny.1 point

From what I can tell , English is not the OP's mother tongue . Perform a simple search and you'll see that "duel" instead of dual is used by Indians. I can easily tell if someone is Dutch , German , English (British) , Italian , Swedish (by the looks and sometimes by the style of one's writing), but when it comes to Asians (Indians are Asians, right ? ) ... well this is not my strongest side. So don't judge if I'm wrong , but I think the guy from the "duel boot" video is Indian . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-m5KUeb_o0 Or here some "duels" too. https://noobsplanet.com/index.php?threads/duel-boot-triple-boot-or-quad-boot-with-hackintosh.11/ https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/gs0s1o/create_duelboot_windows_on_hackintosh_drive/ Though , it doesn't mean the OP is not from US , he may be Indian , but currently living in the States. Nowadays there are a lot of Indians in Canada , UK and US too.1 point

And about this "test" : these are the weaker cards , much weaker than GTX 980. So PCI 1.1 is enough in this case. GTX980 is like 80% faster than GTX680. Don't forget about the onboard VRAM . 8GB vs 2GB . See the screenshot by asdf2345. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-980-vs-Nvidia-GTX-680/2576vs31481 point

TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive can be replaced with AcquireSRWLockExclusive . GetLogicalProcessorInformationEx can be replaced with GetLogicalProcessorInformation. You need to use CFF Explorer. I'm guessing you're familiar with the procedure. If not , just scroll the extended kernel topic back. I've successfully launched the programmes I wanted to launch . Keep in mind , I'm not using the ex-kernel and I don't have it installed. If you encounter another error (the next in the queue) , you need to replace it too, with something similar , or just open the programme you want to launch in the Dependency walker and see all of that it "wants" in advance . This fix works , but not every time , of course.1 point
