... You could've at least mentioned type of Browser and build version ... In any case. I use Serpent 52.9.0 32-bit here, so that will be the one I'll experiment with... Not being a gamer myself, I had never visited that URL before, but upon loading your link, I can replicate the reported behaviour (i.e. a blank page) ... Disabling uBlock Origin (legacy) makes no difference; as you said, no error stands out in Web Console, but the tab stops loading at: https://s.rsg.sc/sc/js/20220603biee/build/intl-locale-polyfill.js Also, Browser Console reports more: GET https://s.rsg.sc/sc/js/20220603biee/build/intl-locale-polyfill.js.map [HTTP/2.0 404 Not Found 425ms] On an educated hunch, I felt that the page requires the "Intl.RelativeTimeFormat()" constructor, a JS feature first implemented in Firefox (Quantum) v65.0 and Google Chrome 71; more here ... No sigh of that in latest UXP, as you'd have imagined by now... I took an approach I mentioned earlier in this thread, i.e. I took it upon an on-line "polyfill" service (that provides "polyfills" for missing platform Web APIs) and composed a simple Userscript loaded in ViolentMonkey : // ==UserScript== // @name Add Intl.RelativeTimeFormat support // @version 0.0.1 // @description Polyfills 'Intl.RelativeTimeFormat()', first implemented in Chromium 71 // @namespace polyfill.app // @include https://*.rockstargames.com/* // @run-at document-start // @require https://polyfill.app/api/polyfill?minify&features=intl|locale=en~es // ==/UserScript== <!-- Polyfill Intl.RelativeTimeFormat, its dependencies & 'en, es' locale data --> That only accounts for English and Spanish locales; the English version of referenced URI now loads successfully in St52:3 points

I quit mozilla with 52, so I did not follow its development afterwards. Thanks for sharing all this info.2 points

I've tried out a new edition of Windows 11 called Validation OS intended for debugging purposes. You can it download for free from Microsoft: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/validation-os-overview Installation: The ISO file, that you can download is not bootable and contains the .wim image of the operation system and optional components, that can be integrated with the image using DISM (I installed all of them): https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/validation-os-mount-and-customize. The image can be deployed into a hard disk using Windows PE. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/validation-os-boot The installation definitely isn't user-friendly, but it's expected for a system designed for IT professionals. First impressions: Although VOS is based on Windows 11, it uses an incomplete classic theme: Diskpart.exe is broken so this OS can't be used as a partition manager launched from USB drive: Maybe it does, but I haven't found a single application, that is compatible with it. I tried various programs, including those, that work in Windows PE: 7-zip, Winfile, Pale Moon browser, Vmware tools installer. None of them launched, except for Vmware tools installer, which showed a splash screen and immediately closed Console applications are likely to work better, but I don't put my hopes high as VOS can't even handle it's own Diskpart. The cd command is also buggy: It doesn't work for directories located on CD/DVD drives (You can however still access content on CD/DVD using direct paths): In conclusion, Windows 11 Validation OS is hardly usable in its current state. I can't think of a single task, that it can perform better, than Windows PE1 point

Hi @roytam1! Sorry for the inconveniences! I thought the site were lost in the old browsers forever. Fortunately, it is back now. Sorry again for my panic! This site is quite important for me. Thanks and kindest regards, AstroSkipper1 point

Hi again ... I'm puzzled, because, as you can see, I've been linking and uploading images from that very site (5 in the last hour) with no issue at all and I'm on St 52???? I just uploaded this without issue. I'm sorry, I haven't a clue unless your IP they don't like. Don't know, but I understand your frustration? https://postimg.cc/Hc0nvGnS also attached from 360 V11 without issue.1 point

I still would never use the microphone input on the computer unless there was no alternative. The level from a microphone is very much lower than from a line level source, so you would have to have the source level set much lower to avoid overloading. Also the microphone input could have equalisation on it to suit a microphone, whereas the line/aux input should be 'flat'. Much better all round to maintain the quality of the original.1 point

Hi Dave and hope all is well. Actually, I have 4 walkman cassettes players and a phonograph only with headphone jacks as output. I've only done it that way - from headphone to either microphone or aux in. @dmiranda mentioned walkman cassette players that usually only come with headphone jacks. But I realized after reading your posting that I should've mentioned the level of amplification from the source going into the sound card could actually cause damage. That is the good thing about Audacity 2.1.0 You need to keep the volume very low on the headphone output and keep the computer volume and open up the input volume levels up to the max. Not only do you not want to input to see blue in huge (distortion city) but when the input source shows up in RED, its too loud; in fact, I keep it very low and increase afterwards at the end. Should look like this: And when done, you can select Amplify if you need to, but I use mp3gain to do that. I'm going to find a way to send to a upload server the Pennsylvania Polka (don't worry, public domain) and see what you think as it came from a scratchy 45 record and I worked to improve it as best as could. I'll let you know when I figure out what would be best. Again, as Dave pointed out, feeding headphones or amplification to your computer can cause damage so start very low in the volume with your computer input (either microphone or aux in) all the way up so you won't wind up in the red. Try it and let us know which version Of Audacity you chose. 2.1.0 has a good mix of features, whereas below its very basic, but above 2.1.0 and its not very stable on XP and crashes on my systems. Good luck :1 point

Just tried postimages.org in New Moon 28 (latest build), including uploading an image as a test, and it worked fine for me as it always has. I should note that (a) I did so as an unregistered user and (b) I use uBlock Origin.1 point

I wouldn't feed line/headphone level audio into a microphone input, it will probably overload it and the result will be extremely distorted. The aux/line input on the computer should be fine.1 point

I'm sorry I've not replied after liking the posting but I forgot ... better late than never, so they say. What is it *they say* again, I always forget that too hehe. Yes! Its would definitely work - just as you described. From the headphone/aux out (to) microphone/aux in on your computer. Just see which sound the best or less worse Lol. With audacity you can improve the quality a little but then we squash into mp3 anyway =P1 point

While it has seen little activity as of late , it wouldn't hurt, IMHO, to also post in the Programming MSFN subforum ; OTOH, posting multiple copies of the same "plea" should, in general, be avoided (Forum Rules -> Posting Guidelines -> 2.a) ... Kindest regards1 point

Please excuse my lateness in replying. It's not love of the computer the reason for needing to use an older computer. It is poverty and depression that the country I live in is always in. So little money all can hope for is for people to be kind to donate old computers. But you know as I do this never happens. I do rely on internet for food shopping and for where I live. Without transport the internet is all I have to get provisions. XPerceniol says he uses 360 v11 is the 360 a Google Browser Clone (google chrome) XPerceniol Thanks I will try the Mathwiz about config settings you have posted. Google ...enough to say they just wannabe A God ... There Captcha kills people ... I don't use Google or trust Google. I don't use anything or try not to use anything with Telemetry. That said Roytam1 browsers I see has a connection when open the browser that has add-ons, updates and telemetry turned off should expect not see any connection then from the browser. Would prefer no telemetry or connection sending data to unknown. A browser we use is one we need to trust not to steal data like thieving Google or Microsoft will. The issue for me mainly is site such as .@.A.@.S.@.D.@.A.@. UK a home shopping grocery site. I'm told it does outsource to a web design team who in my mind don't understand the site they are updating the browser for and the country the customers are in a the country depression leading to most people without money fro better computer hardware. That said the customer service also say it is more designed and optimized for mobiles and their browsers. And they don't really support desktop browsers now but the latest browsers should work without issue. I believe Browser developers should include this site and do the site Main page > Grocery Page > then do a Product search as part of browser testing each build. Because it is the worst site I have ever come across on the web that should be easily accessible to all but it isn't. As a test it doesn't even need a the test to login to test it. Maybe if have people testers they could register there and do some more test would be beneficial. No site seems to be updated as much and not work as much equals a good test site. BTW you need to wait after loading a page because it does look like it is going to work but then all of a sudden will become a white blank screen and it stays like that forever. All browser developers need to test with real world sites that we all use and need to live. Not just the Main page which for nearly every site will be made to show. But need to compile a list to test with sites that are the worst and that always can be sued as test sites for various pages that always cause problems. I know people may say that takes time, for a computer to run through them automated not so long after all it is only one or two pages maybe need to test for each site. With the results can make better browsers and maybe if those bad sites pages work then many other sites problems will go away. You would think a shopping site would be wanting customer not turning them away. I wouldn't normally bother to say anything but when only have one site and more than two is preferred. Been a grocery store and need to eat to live. The problem is like this and has been for many months, well years. At the site enter groceries and do a search for any product bread, eggs, milk etc. For any Roytam1 browsers I can use SSE or IA32 and I guess will be same for all other browsers. The search will try to come up but then end up as a blank page. And that is how it is also for all product pages after you login. Sure you say other shops for me there is very little choice only one and so to have a second for when the only one is unavailable is needed also I prefer to have choice of which one I need to shop with. One shop maybe have issues so need to shop at other or any other issues, such as prices so on. I also notice something strange for a long while I use windows for browsing I don't get on with tabs. This I assume maybe the same with Tab browsing. With more than one window open when update a page selecting something so it changes such as next page. The window will switch to another window it loses focus to remain on the same window. So then need to keep switching back and forth between Windows. Is there a fix so it keeps on the same window. I know I could write this elsewhere but these two bugs have been around for years I'm sure they are known but are never fixed. PC has 1.5 GB memory with normally over 1 GB available in Task Manager with browser open before browsing. I Browse without video and audio, they are not activated in the browser.1 point

Behold...https://libredd.it/...the alternative open-source Reddit front-end, JavaScript is only needed for audio in videos - can be turned on in the settings. SURPRISE! It doesn't look right. Edit: Oh, it was already posted about, including the workaround.1 point

This happens because that OS ships with only two fonts (System and Lucida Console). The Scrollbar buttons and the Titlebar buttons are supposed to render using the Marlett font which is not present in Windows 11 validation OS (But is on Windows Preinstallation Environment/Windows Recovery Environment) and as a result, they're rendered using the same font used in the console window (Lucida Console) which reveals up certain numbers and lowercase latin letters. Titlebars are rendered using System font. When you try to launch those apps you mentioned, they don't launch or they show an error window that says that the app is not compatible? Also, that OS ships with other apps or only with the command prompt? Also, most of the apps such as notepad that can be found at Windows PE are also missing in Windows Validation OS Also, my experience on that OS thought that: Most apps didn't worked (Most Console variants of them loaded properly, with a few exceptions such as the Nircmd Console version which did not worked at all, giving the inability to capture screenshots of the OS). Some apps did caused the cursor to become busy (Such as Mozilla Firefox) but did not launch actually. Some refuse to launch, including registry editor (From the primary SSD drive of course) Basic Diskpart support is available by adding the Disk Management addon. You can use it to view the disk partitions for instance. Command Prompt's Settings could not be changed (And as such you're stuck with black background color and green text color in CMD) Closing CMD will cause a new one to appear CTRL+ALT+Delete shows an error but closing it returns to CMD I can access my laptop's drives using the dir command (The more modular tree command does not appear to work) or using direct paths (Primary Drive was assigned to letter D: while Data ones to E:) If Multiple windows are open and Alt+Tab keyboard combination is used, the classic ones is shown, just like Windows PE Aero Snap works like Windows 7 to 8.1 and is shown without translucent effects Due to a lot of missing resources, it falls back to a broken classic theme (Lack of Aero.msstyles, Marlett font). Text is shown using the System Font in most cases. More info may come once I found more testing on my side, those are fine for now1 point
