  2. Too funny. Did they catch the colsed typos versus closed? Or Colse versus Close? Or Backuo versus Backup? Or clouds (plural) when you back up to the cloud (singular)? Or bookmar versus bookmark? Or just the total misuse of SPACES? My complete rebuild notes and a copy of my "base" with all modifications and untouched by a "first run" is provided below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5twje35tkzfh8ay/360ChromePortable.zip?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/obhxz6smkkt6030hn90ks/13.0.2250.0.xls?dl=0&rlkey=3i1ghxtckjhzw67t0nxpkoq94

  3. To prevent user confusion, I strongly recommend disregarding the tutorials and contacting me directly instead about the extended kernel. The original post was removed as it was continuing to confuse users. There will be further discussion about the evolution of the extended kernel in the coming pages.

  4. "Base" build update - For anyone that may have downloaded my "base" build and the accompanying .xls notes, I have since made two changes (but have not uploaded a new .xls). Step 3 -- I now REPLACE dark with chrome in the Preferences file so that it now reads "id": "jisu9_chrome", [note: the comma at the end is intentional] Step 8 -- I now RENAME original jisu9_dark.srx to jisu9_dark.srx.bak and RENAME original jisu9_chrome.srx to jisu9_chrome.srx.bak Then download my XP skin now-named jisu9_chrome.srx and place it in the ..\Chrome\Application\13.0.2250.0\skin folder The updated XP skin download link is -- https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9tq4s4dezizsts5/jisu9_chrome.srx The only update to the XP skin (aside from file name) is I updated the download icon in the main toolbar. ps - Build 2250 has a tendency to lockup on First Run and requires processes to be killed via Task Manager. Subsequent runs are flawless and I haven't had any crashes or lockups in three days.

  6. Already looked into it. Special order and I only use that laptop to tune turbo engines on project cars so it doesn't get used that often.

  8. Besides that, what amazes me is the apparent craze for something that by any standards sucks (and sucks big). I mean, I understand how the insiders (or whomever) are interested in the news, and want to try it as soon as possible (possibly to monetize or however use as a promotion the article/blog/video/whatever) but once one, two, three, tens of people have tested it and it clearly is (not so surprisingly) at the most a "meh" product, there is IMHO no need to hurry to get/install/test it.. I could understand if everyone that actually tested it described it as the third best thing in life (after bread and ice-cream), but come on, the (admittedly only few) reports I have seen seem to have divided the opinions between "it sucks" and "it sucks AND it is unfriendly to the user and hardware". Surely, when there will be something final, the usual endless number of tweaks, mods, hacks, etc. will appear, making it bearable (like it has happened for previous windows versions) but the point remains that the thingy "as delivered by the manufacturer" is reported almost everywhere as only a little more than a pig[1] with lipstick (and the lipstick is the wrong colour ) jaclaz [1] with all due respect to pigs, of course

  10. There's a number of "recent" (if you consider 8-10 years recent) pro-level notebooks you can get for cheap that work with XP well: Lenovo L420, L520, L530, T520 (i'd say T530... but it's got some issues) Dell e6420, e6430, e6230, e6530 These are the ones I have... there may be others..?

  11. what failed on it? Ram, cpu or what? Old laptops had swappable cpu and you can find old processors with 10 euros or less on ebay I recommend looking refurb laptops. Can get older better quality business laptop cheaper even with XP compatible hw. Here one store sells some that can run XP mostly 2nd or 3rd gen intel

  12. Well, I have uploaded the modified version of v9 on Mediafire. https://www.mediafire.com/file/vrulo92hek8761u/360EE_9.5.0.138.7z/file (Newer one ahead) I want feedback to see if I can continue with v11. This is a lot of fun! I will upload a pastebin explaining each change I made to the files. If this modified version is clean I would like to ask if it is possible or necessary for me to open a new thread where I post everything related to this modification (I think it would be more organized). And by the way, the welcome page is a surprise! Greetings.
