  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah. I upgraded to non-Insider 26100. So far I'm finding it very stable and SAB is working.
  3. Any idea why the modern tooltips are not applied when opening an app (PotPlayer) from shell/context menu? Running the app by double clicking the exe Running the app from shell/context menu
  4. For me. it works as it should. No. No green. Just insert the PAC script code! You won't get any confirmation messages. I really don't know what you are doing. All a bit strange. "example.com" is completely sufficient and exactly corresponds to the URL which you wanted to load.
  5. Tihiy

    vdi licence

CAL are not required, licensing is per host PC.
  6. It doesn't work for me. I have entered the PAC script. Should the tick be green? I can't confirm anything. What am I doing wrong? ... For me it must be "*.example.com". Then it works.
  7. Today
  8. ... I guess "we"'re moving in circles here, aren't "we"? If you don't want to employ a local PAC script after all and you want to use ProxyMII in 360EE by selectively (manually) enabling it on the (now two) problem sites, no extension is required; the options have been already presented to you by both Astroskipper and me: 1. Configure IE8 to use ProxyMII (its FrontServer) just for secure connections - then, manually enable this configuration in 360EE by setting "Proxy -> Use IE proxy" for the two "problem" sites, or 2. Configure 360EE to use ProxyMII (its FrontServer) directly (i.e. leaving IE8 out of this) and then manually enable this configuration, just for your two "problem" sites, by selecting "Proxy -> localhost:8079" (see image attachments in my previous reply just above) when visiting the affected sites ...
  9. Already answered by me: And since you made such a fuss about PAC here, the extension Proxy Switcher and Manager 0.5.0 which requires very little memory is the solution without having to switch the proxy manually when using a PAC script inside this extension.
  10. There is some issue with 512 MB VRAM in Win98 FE, but I haven't dug into what it is exactly.
  11. Thank you very much for your help. It would probably be best with an extension. However, a very simple extension that only activates the proxy would be sufficient. I could then enable this with 360Chrome on the respective website. So a PAC would not be necessary at all. Is there a suitable extension that requires very little memory?
  12. That's not the issue at all. Most of developers and manufactors have stopped supporting Windows XP, and Windows 3.11, of course. That's not the problem at all. But to trash and ridicule special forks for older OSes such as New Moon 28, which is excellently maintained by @roytam1, is a no-go and shows a fundamental lack of respect.
  13. I don't disagree. But... um... I don't disagree with "them" either. "They" have a different audience then "we" do. Whether we like to admit it or not, "their" future is HELD BACK *if* they bend over backwards for "us". Seriously, where do you think NM27, NM28, St52, or St55 would really REALLY be today if they tried to maintain compatibility with Win 3.1 or Win 3.11? The difference is, as I see it, is that MSFN Members acknowledge that "both can coexist". I cannot confirm nor deny if they think the same. Because let's also admit that most of us MSFN Members only "read" what's going on "over there" when somebody brings the "negatives" over to MSFN. I do not follow their forum. I don't exactly agree with "us" being updated when anti-MSFN or anti-XP posts are posted "over there". It's why I have a privacy fence at the house. Neighbor's weed-filled lawn compared to my grass-only, not a single solitary "broadleaf" -- fence = "out of sight, out of mind".
  14. The PM forum can take a leaf out of MSFN's book. We welcome everyone. You can get help here even if you don't use Windows XP or other older operating systems. For example, my thread "Extensions and custom buttons for UXP browsers - Corrections, modifications, adjustments, and special recommendations" is open to anyone who uses legacy extensions, whether in New Moon 28, Pale Moon or whatever compatible browser. I also don't care whether the poster in question uses Windows 7, Windows 10 or even the crappy Windows 11. He will not be verbally punished in any way, even if I personally do not favour these OSes. That's how it has to be. But these Fright Wing and trollbat types from the PM forum won't understand that. Their horizons aren't good enough for that.
  15. Thanks, I also have the option of a Quadro NVS-440 which is a PCI-E card. OP says AGP but that's wrong (https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/quadro-nvs-440-pcie-x16.c1463) As this is a dual GPU card will it "just work" in W98?
  16. Yes and no. A functioning website is always the priority.
  17. The Sun: Our Life-Giving Star The sun, a giant ball of hot plasma at the center of our solar system, is the source of almost all the energy on Earth. Its immense power fuels our planet's weather systems, drives the water cycle, and is essential for photosynthesis, the process by which plants convert sunlight into energy. Here's a closer look at the sun's fascinating characteristics: Size and Composition: Our sun is a star, a self-luminous celestial body made up primarily of hydrogen and helium. It's massive, with a diameter 109 times wider than Earth's! Internal Furnace: Through a process called nuclear fusion, the sun's core generates tremendous energy. This heat and light radiate outward, reaching Earth in just over 8 minutes. Structure: The sun has several distinct layers: Core: The hottest region, where nuclear fusion takes place. Radiative Zone: Energy travels outward through this layer in the form of radiation. Convection Zone: Hot plasma rises, cools, and sinks in a continuous loop. Photosphere: The visible surface of the sun, often seen with sunspots, cooler, darker regions. Chromosphere: A thin layer above the photosphere, visible during solar eclipses. Corona: The outermost layer, extending millions of kilometers into space. Sunspots and Solar Flares: The sun's surface is not constant. Dark, cooler areas called sunspots appear and disappear, linked to the sun's magnetic field. Occasionally, the sun releases bursts of charged particles called solar flares, which can impact Earth's technology and auroras. Importance for Life: The sun's light and heat are vital for life on Earth. Plants use sunlight for photosynthesis, the base of the food chain. Sunlight also determines our planet's climate and weather patterns. Studying the sun helps us understand not only our own planet's environment but also the formation and evolution of stars and planetary systems throughout the universe. From : https://bohobaby.in/
  18. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but this sounds "bad" to me. ie, one can "google" without the gstatic trackers, one can "bing" without the azureedge trackers. One should be able to "x" without the x trackers.

  20. Caution! Might get bombarded with rotten apples.
  21. Looks like you messed something up, because it should. https://www.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/1ctxa3v/twitterxitter_is_now_broken_in_ff_when/ "Twitter/Xitter is now broken in FF when anti-browse..." "x.com just doesn't work with the warning: "Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com" They've also enabled some form of mouse based fingerprinting too, with spoofers like MouseVader leading to glitchy behaviour."
  22. The only difference is that Edge's anti-tracking (hard) protection blocks "x.com." It is possible to see this in detail. With Firefox there are no blocked x.com trackers.
  23. So Edge's anti-tracking works? Or is working "too good"? And Firefox's anti-tracking does NOT work? Or working "sufficiently"?
