  2. @Dave-H I have just seen your recently opened issue "Side by Side Error Recorded in Windows XP #85"at GitHub. I then checked my event logs but can't see any corresponding entries so far although the sub folder screen_ai also exists in my USER_DATA folder including this ominous chrome_screen_ai.dll file. Furthermore, I checked my installed components under chrome://components/ but there are none. Maybe, you simply delete or rename the complete screen_ai sub folder and use the command line flag --disable-component-update for the next browser start.. I can't say whether this will help you, but you could give it a try.
  3. after more testing this new progwrp.dll by IDA-RE-things has another big advantage for me. i am running supermium r4 the same way as i did 360chrome. that is, with a modified x-chromium loader.exe and a modified loader.ini. frequently after clearing browser data and closing supermium the x-chromium loader.exe and two chrome.exe processes would still be running in the windows task manager. with those still running a new start of the browser fails. so i just kept the browser running all day or closed the still running processes before restarting the browser when needed. this new progwrp.dll also solved that issue. all chrome processes and the x-loader now close on exit. as said before, only tested on xp sp3 (updated with legacy updates 2014) credits to IDA-RE-things for making this dll and his reports on the github supermium site. https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/created_by/IDA-RE-things https://github.com/IDA-RE-things
  4. I know these command line flags. Personally, I use the extension Animation Policy in Thorium. By using this extension, you are able to exactly adjust via a toolbar popup how the animations are supposed to be handled by the browser. Thus, the user has the possibility to let an animation play or stop from inside Thorium at any time without editing the flags and restarting the browser.
  5. If a person already owns this graphics card, he can try to do the best to make it useful. Not everyone can buy new parts.

  7. After some tests, I would even say that the loading behaviour of different websites also has been improved by the updated Chrome XP API Adapter. More test are necessary, of course.
  8. Latest ME firmware 14.1.72.2287 broke the compatibility with Batman: Mask of the Phantasm UHD Blu-ray and resulted in noise and choppy playback at specific scenes. Although it is possible to downgrade the firmware on my ASUS ROG Strix Z490-F Gaming, it is still difficult to fix the issue because I can't find a simple solution. I tried using different sound card, reinstalling or updating audio driver or graphics driver, and none of them worked. Finally I solved the issue by switching off the power supply. Anyway, I think putting PAVP in the firmware which requires security update every year is a terrible idea.
  9. As already reported in the Supermium thread by @rereser, a new progwrp.dll file was released for Supermium. This file is the Chrome XP API Adapter and is supposed to be compatible with Thorium. Therefore, I replaced the old version 1.1.0.5002 by the new version 1.2.0.5035. The file size from version 1.1.0.5002 to 1.2.0.5035 has been significantly reduced by an incredible 82%. In any case, I can confirm that now the browser start is much faster and smoother than before. I think this is a great improvement.
  10. I installed this driver 355.73, but didn't observe an improvement. I wanted to let the system run for a while because the glitch only appears part of the time. Unfortunately it also happened that I lost all my cookies in New Moon (for an unrelated reason of the system disk filling up with a swap file).
  11. GT 710? Why? This is a weak graphic card. GTX 750 or higher are interesting.
  12. Has anyone observed new youtube efforts of enforcing ads? I surely have; legacy ublock origin (in Serpent 52.9) doesn't cut it anymore I had to block the forced ad message and the dim-screen pane - here's what I added in "My filters": www.youtube.com##body > ytd-app > .ytd-app.style-scope:nth-of-type(1) > .ytd-popup-container.style-scope:nth-of-type(1) www.youtube.com##.opened Please tell me, is there a better way?
  13. Good to do. No idea why AI overlord decided to dislike StartIsBack
  14. I want to share some parts of my project of Matrix client. I hoped that I will have a free time to create this, but did not. 1. An official Matrix client for Windows is Javasctipt code in Electron. 2. An official Matrix team uses Typescript then makes Javascipt code. I see that we should reject from Typesctipt and write an JS code directs. Unfortunatelly, they makes JS code unreadable. The first step is get JS ready-to-use code where all variable names are saved. 3. There are some browsers for Windows XP. We can use it instead Electron framework. These browsers like Mypal 68 works even better than Firefox 102. The official Element web version is JS fully, so any browser will compete this. We just compile browser as desktop client. The way to create an client as new software, without js is preferrable. But the method above is a possible alternative.
  15. No. It's not the same "series" / "branch". 360Chrome has a "Safe Browser", "Secure Browser", and "Extreme Explorer" variations.
  16. @JFX Issue on new version 5.3.5 (not present on 5.3.4) If I would create a new language file the program ask for filename about new dll file but didn't save the file. Thanks.
  17. That's because it is part of Windows 10/11. But old systems and WinPE are missing it.
  18. I just tried to go to the website to reinstall the software and got this message on chrome, just reported it as a false positive which you can do right here: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_error/?hl=en
  19. would anybody pls tell me how come I already had offreg.dll in all sorts of folders (system32, syswow64, winsxs, et al.) without needing the reuploading? thanx in advance
  20. huge improvement (for me) in load time supermium r4. read: https://github.com/IDA-RE-things/Chrome-xp-api-adapter download: https://github.com/IDA-RE-things/Chrome-xp-api-adapter/releases/tag/v1.2 replace progwrp.dll v1.1.0.5010 that comes with r4 with the above progwrp.dll v1.2.0.5035. tested on xp sp3 only.
  21. In 14.1 If the video card does not support Webgl, you can add the Opengl32.dll file to the browser folder. The webgl software will turn on https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/4hr7voppxcxpqq8/opengl32.dll
  22. I forgot offreg.dll again, re-uploaded.
  23. You have the second revision, there is a driver for it for Win10 only. Therefore, if you want to continue using Win7, you will have to install an additional network card.
  24. As per https://superuser.com/questions/1738597/how-to-disable-all-chromium-animations, also adding the switch below may help. Will test. Thanks! --animation-duration-scale=0
  25. @Zorba the Geek Write your code in C/C++ then Disassemble them for injecting it, that what i did
