  2. I have seen on a page that a PAC can be created for Chrome, which can then be integrated with a start parameter. But I can't get it to work. The code in the PAC file should be as follows: function FindProxyForURL(url, host) { if (dnsDomainIs(host, "example.com")) { return "PROXY localhost:8079"; } } Do you know how that works?
  3. I prefer Proxy Switchy Auto version 1.2.2. With it, if a web site is "sourced" by three different servers, I can send each server through its own Proxy, none of the three servers know they each served content to one end-user.
  4. @Anbima My final recommendation for you. Use in 360Chrome a proxy switcher extension like, for example, Proxy SwitchyOmega for a more convenient use of this proxy from inside this browser!

  6. Exactly the opposite, simply letting certain URLs pass, can easily be realised. What you want is not actually the purpose of this proxy. If you only need the proxy for certain connections, only switch it on then and switch it off otherwise. It's as simple as that.
  7. What setting do I have to make in config.ini so that the proxy is only used for certain URLs? I have already tried it, but I can't find a suitable setting.
  8. Personally, I use very few extensions in Thorium. And those which are only used from time to time have been disabled by me.
  9. Hmmm. I see. Some sort of toggle would be nice to have, but for now I have pinned something to the start of the taskbar and it acts a bit less glitchy now. Thanks for your replies.
  10. ProxHTTPSProxy can be configured to the user needs in its configuration file config.ini. And in 360Chrome, as already described by @VistaLover, you can alternatively switch between "Use IE proxy" and "Do not use proxy".
  11. Always the usual advice, from a former professor who used XP until the year 2021 : https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/what-is-your-security-setup-these-days.111264/page-1637#post-2979834 Reduce the number of extensions you use. If you use too many extensions all the possible benefits of your customizations will be cancelled out and/or will be greatly reduced: https://www.debugbear.com/blog/chrome-extensions-website-performance
  12. You'll notice when/if SAB reimplements taskbar.
  13. Did Microsoft not remove the Classic taskbar code, or did StartAllBack reimplement the taskbar?
  14. From some webpages I visited - this new version of Serpent 52.9 (5-18) is really snappy compared to previous (5-11). Mighty fine.
  15. When it comes to my package ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3, closing the main window of ProxHTTPSProxy automatically removes its entries from the system proxy settings. This is not the case when using ProxyMII.
  16. In the meantime, I have made various performance improvements to Thorium, on the one hand by selecting suitable flags for my hardware, and on the other hand by generally using a mobile user agent from Android with the help of the ingenious User-Agent Switcher and Manager extension. Today, I have found an additional flag to reduce the FPS when it comes to media which is --max-gum-fps=30. Here is a screenshot from MotionMark which runs now at 45fps and not 60fps.
  17. Is it possible that the proxy is only used for certain URLs? For the others, the SSL connection is used by the browser. And how do I get the proxy out of the system completely? It seems that there is an entry somewhere in the system, as programs no longer connect to the Internet if the proxy is not started.
  18. I have been using RGB Limited for years because I have always disliked how White and Deep Black colours looked in RGB Full. I found it to be more strenuous on the eyes and to cause unnecessary visual fatigue (for me). Well I now looked more deeply into this and turns out there is another solution : Using Ycbcr 4:4:4 in the Nvidia Control Panel. This does not cause any problem with HW ACC. enabled in Firefox. The colours in general look more natural (to me) especially white and black on the monitor/graphics card combinations I have tried. I thought Ycbcr was something from the Analogue era and never used that. I was probably confusing it with something like YUV. Here are some interesting links I came across: https://linustechtips.com/topic/82154-what-color-format-looks-better-gaming-ycbcr444-or-rgb/ https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/discover/144126/rgb-vs-ycbcr444-/ https://hardforum.com/threads/rgb-vs-ycbcr444-in-nvidia-control-panel.1998222/ https://www.overclock.net/threads/which-setting-is-better-for-gaming-rgb-full-limited-or-ycbcr-422-444.1628651/ https://hardforum.com/threads/4-4-4-limited-vs-rgb-full-which-is-preferred-and-hdmi-2-0a-vs-2-0b-switches.1926589/ TLDR : Either RGB Full or Ycbcr 4:4:4 should be used depending on your monitor/graphics card combination and personal colour preference. RGB Limited should be avoided with HW ACC enabled in FF
  19. Just two examples to promote the benefits. I used to use this flag: Show feature and workflow recommendations in Edge which has now been abolished. Without the right policy I would be inundated with pop-ups: It is not possible with flags to get some functionality. For example removing the default "Bing" search engine from the list of search engines,or removing the automatic addition of search engines. Then of course who is content to use browsers with their various drawbacks........
  20. That's exactly why I support the idea of MSFN, and actually the reason for all my efforts here. In my case, let Windows XP live forever or at least as long as possible.
  21. got a crash here. need to debug whats going wrong here. EDIT: the last rev cause the crash, need to decompose it and test each change later. EDIT2: the last change in the combined commit causes the issue, while merging new changes fixed the problem so no revert is done.
  22. Latest PM 27 doesn't start anymore - also with a new profile. However, I haven't tested on a clean XPSP3 system. It works with the previous Xul.dll.
  23. Because MSFN would cease to exist if it weren't for - 1) People with very old hardware trying to run modern web browsers 2) People with very new hardware trying run or "look like" very old operating systems
  24. Why did you want to use one core ? Your hardware is such too old, so you'd better to use the old software, because we all know the new software need more hardware resources, you can try to use 360EE, perhaps it can be work well
