  1. Past hour
  2. Wow!!!!!!!!!!! This worked I can use dreamscene now. Thank you.
  3. I didn't notice it until you pointed it out but yes I have the same issue.
  4. You should only need to SORT them by EXPIRATION DATE and isolate which have been updated most recently. HOWEVER, this is NOT a guarantee that you will end up getting paypal to work in non-chrome. IT IS ONLY THE *FIRST* HURDLE and there could be a DOZEN hurdles in front of you. It doesn't even mean that you will find a cert! Again, there are going to be a DOZEN hurdles, certficates should always be the FIRST (in my opinion) to clear. Nowadays, CSS is next. Then JS. And DON'T EVEN BOTHER changing your user agent! The sooner you break that "old school" thinking, the better. (again, just my opinion)
  5. Today
  6. So it worked initially?, what was it set to? DXVA2(native) or none ? LAV settings can also be accessed from the start menu, K-Lite Codec Pack\Configuration There will likely be 2 one for mpchc and one system-wide, set both to whatever worked, if settings crash, redo k-lite codec pack setup and configure those options during setup Test dreamscene Some applications may not respect LAV configuration settings, in that situation you will usually have to remove DXVA2-related dlls installed by the graphics driver so they will have no chance to use something broken, I'd done this once with AMD drivers The fact that symptoms are the same between AMD and NVIDIA gpus however makes me think that you have a conflicting other application/driver installed as these are all old vista-supported gpus not something that needs custom drivers EDIT: And did you uninstall AMD drivers with DDU before installing nvidia? (latest for vista - DDU v18.0.4.6.exe)
  7. I've just upgraded from Win10 and Win100 and I found SetAllBack - a genius app! There's one thing I don't know how to do: I'd like to set my taskbar black (which I can), but the problem is that the system icons on the right (Audio, Battery, the ^ caret you click to see more icons, etc) are in black, too, so they're no longer visible on a black taskbar. Can I change their colors to white WITHOUT changing the whole Win theme? If it's not currently possible in SetAllBack, I'd like to submit this is a feature request. Current, I set the taskbar mid-gray to still see the system icons.
  8. sorry it's not cause i hate it, i just was only concerned about getting bsod's with chrome(s) again like in the past.. i didnt know if it would happen again or not. but let me try one more time... i found this certificate manager mmc snap-in thing.. but when i right click on any of the columns, there's only just "import" ..no export except a .txt file, but that doesnt seem to be any good cause it just only lists the names of each one. it seems like i can only export 1 single one at a time when manually clicking on these, on the right...but not "everything all at once" ...how would i even find which one is the correct file that the serpmium did earlier ?? - im not willing to spend 10... 15 hours trying to do these all 1 at a time - well it'd take longer than that especially testing every single one individually in serpent browser hundreds of times for days... there's 460 of these in this one... then another 450 in the "third party root" section
  9. Well... Um... When I was a know-it-all college kid, I was a "death to IE, Firefox ONLY" punk! My bias to use Firefox and NOTHING ELSE ended up nearly getting my fired! FIREFOX let a virus in and three production facilities were shut down completely for several hours. All because I would never touch anything but Firefox. My answer to you, and you're not going to like it, is that you just may have to learn to know when to use CHROME and when you can stick with your already-stated bias against anything Chrome.
  10. switching to dxva2 copy back crashes mpc-hc and trying to open lav splitter it crashes
  11. Hmm i see... umm where would i find this specific certificate(s) at ? Since clicking the import button on the tabs in serpent ask for "certificate file" or "PKCS12 file" - umm i dont have a clue where that would be located. or what the name of this file is even called Im sorry for my newbie-ness here.
  12. Yes! Because Supermium uses the OPERATING SYSTEM'S "certificate store" and the firewall flagged that the "cert store" was being updated. Now that the OS's cert store is getting your paypal working, you could try importing the OS certs into the non-chrome browsers.

  14. Hey there i decided to just give this supermium a try for a minute even though i swore to myself i'd never touch anything chrome related again after my bad experiences from many years ago... first of all.. i did not get a BSOD when closing the program luckily (which happened about 50/50 every time on the original chrome ages ago (not a fork)... so i hope this will be okay, first time trying the supermium today. so i went to paypal first thing... and something strange did happen... the second i clicked on the "login" link at the top of page...and the email/pass screen appearing - i got a popup from Windows Firewall about "win32" or something...which i assume was the supermium ...so i clicked unblock -- i didn't seem to get any "hcaptcha" or "please wait for security challenge" and no "slide your mouse" screen either... so your right it actually did work to my surprise. Still doesnt at all on anything else like Serpent here, the mypal, or the palemoon (the stupid slide mouse, your blocked -- on all of them) - but wow it worked for now at least in the superium... i also checked the Windows Firewall stuff right after and found an entry from superium "chrome.exe" - so i assume thats what that popup was about....is that somehow related to this whole paypal issue not working in all the other's ?
  15. from my testing, I can open main page but when I really try to search it gives a blank screen with javascript errors.
  16. So now that you have the codec pack, launch MPC-HC that got installed with it and try to play a h264 test video https://test-videos.co.uk/bigbuckbunny/mp4-h264 launch LAV splitter video settings - the red icon in the system tray, there is a "Hardware Decoder to use:" in the top middle, test various hardware decoders and check which do and don't work, make sure H.264 is checked under codecs for HW
  17. i uninstalled camtasia and installed the codec pack but explorer is still crashing when i try to set a dreamscene
  18. Hi, Microsoft Update Restored is currently known for looping on the muoptdefault.aspx page. We're looking into this issue. Please note that those message boxes you are encountering are debug information popups we use to troubleshoot what's wrong.
  19. For dreamscene try installing K-Lite Codec Pack 16.6.5 (I believe someone reported some issues with a later version) Edit, this post: https://msfn.org/board/topic/175262-last-versions-of-software-for-windows-vista-and-windows-server-2008/page/66/#comment-1214028 Is explorer.exe still crashing, if not I think it's Camtasia's own problems at this point
  20. No
  21. Is any of the extended kernel-like stuff installed?
  22. Camtasia Studio works fine now but only after closing it does it crash
  23. Yes, still same error i tried peggle garrys mod & jewel quest on xp vista & 7 and they all work perfectly fine
  24. Is directx_Jun2010_redist installed? Windows 7 doesn't use dx9 on desktop (maybe Camtasia uses dx11 on Win7 too), check if directX9 works there with any directX 9 game, look up games you happen to have on pcgamingwiki
  25. just trying to make sure it is worth our whike doing all the above, what compression rate are u referring to? the compression rates that we are practically accustomed to are reasonably satisfactory - a very good compression rate can be achieved thru winntsetup itself by clicking on the start square icon on the top right corner of the mask and then on "local windows installations", then right-clicking and selecting compact windows, choosing "lzx" and ticking the recompression box below. yet other good compression rates can be achieved thru windows10tweaker.exe from the optimization section (the only inconvenience being with this one here that u cannot do anything while it is compacting as everything freezes till the end of the process). pls try both and compare with ur rar kinda thing for best compression results.
  26. Hi @ABCDEFG, Just checking to see that I've got you right. You're saying, we could used an extra core, for the software GPU. You are also clarifying, that this is different from truly taking advantage of a multiprocessor/multicore system; which we cannot do. This I 100% agree with. Thanks for pointing that out, so we don't get lots of hopeful multicore win9x questions. I dream of taking a couple year holiday, and doing something fun with these, and other, ideas. I've been wondering if I could host a VST server (something similar to MuLab Plugin [used to be called Mux], or VSTHost) on the available cores (one host each). Each host being available to any Midi capable (potentially audio route-able) DAW. It would have to be a "from scratch" project. Hard to get motivated for something like that, with only "occasional" weekends available. Going into it, there are ALOT of problems with such a goal. Might get reduced to one core being a SoundFont/GigaSample server (headless); something like LinuxSampler. But, in the end, I'd be one of the few, or the only person, to ever use it. PipeDreams. But, SoftGPU sparks a little fame under my chair. @FantasyAcquiesce, I did compile some MMX/SSE1,2 software rendering Mesa binaries (I think you are encouraged to use the included non sse3+/Avx binary, for older machines [i915]). The included binary, without AVX, doesn't include SSE. On an Pentium M 1.2ghz, Unreal Gold "with Wine3D" was almost acceptable @ 640x480 & 800x600 both 32bit. The binaries I built only seemed marginally better; however, they scored noticeably better with the included OpenGL benchmarks (the Unreal game engine probably taps out any boost the SSE (and assembly optimized) builds ?may? potentially provide). So yeah! On a faster CPU, there may be a bit of hope for some older machines (the included Mesa [softpipe] probably being sufficient). I'm not sure they were worth my time. But if any one wants to test these older Mesa builds, I could upload them somewhere. I've also noticed slightly faster load times, with older versions of Wine3d. But, nothing huge.
  27. Last week
  28. where can i download the source code?
  29. It's interesting that you mention you use an LTSC version of Windows, as I use an Enterprise version of Windows to give me finer control of my own computer (not Microsoft's). From what I understand, while the LTSC and Enterprise versions aren't identical, they do have similarities. I might try a Home edition of Windows in a virtual machine, as long as I have time this weekend.
