Good point, but there are other benefits such as faster bootup's and lower memory usage. Also, this system is secure enough to not need a firewall (which increases your ping). Forgot to mention that with 2GB, the use of large pages will surely help ;).

When it (beta) will be available depends on my conduct for the next week or so. My new computer is nearly complete, and if I find myself anxious enough to play with it, then expect a beta within a week. Of course, that's most likely not going to happen due to my amazing ability to procrastinate :). But I assure you that all that remains are three issues, two of which needn't be brought to the public's eye, and one which is how I can make it simple enough to be deployed by those hard-core gamers out there that know nothing about computers except hardware-related things.

New poll! Should I include the latest updates and betas in the update pack (Ex: DX9 December Update and IE7)?

firefox? opera?

heh, IE7 can interfere with lots of programs that require IE, ex trillian basic/pro.

why not include the dx9c update though, lots of new games need it.

1 so far, civ 4 that I know of

definetly need the latest dx9

also include the latest ryanvm pack if possible

gdogg, i dont have ie thx to nlite but i do have the ie core so trillian works fine

Yep I agree with ripken204

Same.

By the way - finals?! Gah, I've already started my spring semester. This week was the week of the tests. Arg!!! Too much studying...my brain....must...play...video....games....

finals? now? how?....lol

i had my midterms before xmas, i love having them then, start off the new year with a new semester

When I was in high school our finals were end of January :P

No need for anything besides DX9c and maybe firefox.

If any of us desire something extra we can always add the update ourselves.
