  1. Interesting, was she fun? Edit: Plz refer to post 176 of this thread http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&sho...ndpost&p=447400
  2. Adobe CS2 Functionality plz Edit: (well this is kinda like 10 proggies, but can we just count them all as 1 plz? )
  3. Wow. I'm in the same boat with razor, I wouldn't have realized this if it wasn't for the april 1st post. When I sawthe post, I was like "OMG No way!" When's your spring break start though Aegis, mine's the 3rd.
  4. Hey Gdogg, i know this is kind of off topic, but I see in your signature your box, and it's pretty nice, I was just wondering how much did it cost you to put it all together?
  5. just wondering, my computer is showing that this thread is only 32 pages right now, but I could have sworn it was in the upper 40s, anyone else see the same thing? --Sofer
  6. You ever hear the saying "If you can't say anything nice . . ." Anyways, I dunno if your in School tom, but I am, and like Aegis I have been swamped for the last month with various projects and tests looming over my head and such. As I post it is currently 1:50 am my time, and I am finishing up the last of my projects which is due in about 12 hours. So Tom I ask you to see it from the otherside of the coin, look at it from our perspective, that of someone involved in school who like an intelligent person, makes sure that school is a bigger priority than the projects he does for fun. You must remember that Aegis has stated many times that this project is being constructed in his spare time. He's not asking for any money for it, and I doubt it will make him worldly famous, however when it's done, I have no doubt that we will all be thoroughly amazed at how thoroughly thought out and well constructed Windows GE is (even if the performance boost is only as slim as 5%). P.S. I dunno if your familiar with XPE or not, but it's very complex and has numerous intricacies, that allow you to build windows from the ground up. It is very hard and time consuming to build a fully functional operating system from the ground up (even if the various components are compartmentalized for ease of use).
  7. I believe the Blizzard Graphic Engine used renders up to exactly 64 fps, however it can show more than that, it just begins to start duplicating frames. Edit: Just noticed that this was post #444 Freaky :X
  8. I say go with cmd as default with options to change it for the people who want to use explorer or task manager.
  9. too bad you can't release a fully produced version of the OS (darn copyright junk and the like) Would probably be a whole lot easier Edit: Apparently D4mn is a bad word, so it got changed to darn :X
  10. Please reference posts 316 and 320 for answers to your question. Thank You.
  11. Jeremy . . . You might want to look into your services menu if you think everything in Windows helps you. QoS RSVP = 20% of your bandwidth gone Indexing Service = Useless Access of hardrive many times when in use slowing down performance etc. As for the whole corporate thing, hate to point this out man (hope Aegis don't get too upset with me responding to Jeremy's statements, seeing as how this may incite flaming ), but the people who tweak, who mod, who come up with new ideas, who change the old ideas, who mess with the things in the system, are the innovates of the world. I don't know if your aware but There were printing presses around for hundreds of years before Johann Gutenberg. But they all used hand carved wooden blocks to print out everything making it virtually impossible to mass produce books via press (only pictures). Then along came this guy, a virtual pauper nonetheless, thought, "hey what if we use pieces instead of one big block." And viola--widespread printed books. He is the true founder of the information revolution because the worldwide information revolution begin with books and progressed into the Internet. In fact, he was recently named by discovery channel I believe it was, the most influential man in the world. Why? Because he tinkered with the system, he decided he didn't like the way things were and tried changing something. The same goes with every great invention in history. Ford with the Model T (not the first car, but the first to be mass produced thanks to his ingenuity). The Wright Brothers with the plane (not the first by far to try building a flight machine, but the first to make one that got off the ground). And the list goes on and on. If we all just accepted things as they are, and never messed with anything society would never advance and we would still be living in the dark ages. All the people we celebrate today didn't invent something new, they took an idea that had been around for a while, tinkered with it, and found a way to make it work better and benefit more people. And while you may see me as a bit idealistic in viewing people like Aegis and Gdogg in that light, I believe that they are doing exactly the same thing as Ford and all the other great tinkerers. . . they're tinkering. Edit: Alright, sorry to all who read that, it ended up a bit longer than I intended :X
  12. Wow that sucks, oh well, better you found it now, rather than ahve 20 posts on here saying how we got the beta and it didn't work --Sofer
  13. Actually it's a normal widescreen laptop, 16:10 ratio
  14. You must be very well connected then And sure, i'll take some SSs later and post em on imageshack or something. It might be cause i tested it on my new gaming laptop I got for christmas ^^ Edit: Tried it on my desktop, it's an alienware with a Samsung monitor. Even though the Geforce card in the computer is capable of resolutions up to 2048, the screen on the computer itself says cannot display when you try to go over 1024x768 even with double dpi on. So my laptop must just be cool like that
  15. So the truth comes out as to why the is so big right now Lol, personally I dun care about the file size and I don't think many others do either. As for the tweak, it lets me literally double the size of my resolution, which totally rocks, I get 32 bit color, but unfortunatly I can't access the nvidia control panel either : ( I'm using the 83.40 leadtek beta drivers, which incidentally, if they come out before Windows GE I think you should use em, cause everyone i've talked with, and I personally, have the best scores i've ever seen by as much as 100+ points (3dMarks) from using them. Also with the tweak on, I cannot start world of warcraft, it gives me some error, i'm gonna check later to see if I lower the resolution a bit (currently 2560x1600) if it will work then. Also i' quite interested as to where you obtained this little tweak, and about the other ones that you may be working with ^^
