Top 5 Pc Games

Should the topic title be "Top 5 games you're playing right now?" because it seems like everyone has forgotten about (or isn't old enough) to appreciate the old stuff. There are a lot of really good games out now. However, a ton of innovation came out of older games.

Older Favorites in no order:

1. Quake I

2. Doom II

3. Myst

4. Commander Keen (all of them)

5. Original Wolfenstein

6. Warcraft III

7. Raptor: Call of the Shadows

8. Terminal Velocity

9. One Must Fall

10. Max Payne

11. A whole bunch of text based RPGs whose names escape me.

New Favorites in no order:

1. Half-Life 2

2. Grand Theft Auto Vice City

3. Unreal Tournament 2004

4. Need for Speed Underground 2

Hehe... have another look at my list! My computer simply can't handle any of the new games.

I totally agree with you that it's all about the good gameplay. Without it, all the game becomes is an interactive movie.

Oh man, whats going on with the gamers! Now all they ask is FPS, and WAR games over and over again. I'm SICK of WAR games, and they don't bring a good feel to our lives =/

I really like both PoPs in first place, and then a bunch of others that I don't know the order.

#-Broken Sword - The Sleeping Dragon

#-SepterraCore (excellent classic)

#-Rayman2 (very addictive)

knights of the old republic is a really good game , but you need to put about 6-9 months of your time/life aside to finish it!!

But highly recomend it.

oh man, i can't beleive I forgot about Pacific Fighters!!! That's the best. Much better then M$'s Filght Sim - yuck .

First amd64 windows game that uses directx was Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
