  1. Using NOD32 for the last 3 months. Very good, hardly notice it running.
  2. I've replaced it with I.E and I found it really good, the only problem is there's no favorites tab for easy access. There's also no automplete meaning it doesn't save your searches. But I guess that's the basis for it being fast, it relies on the number of tabs you have open for how fast it works.
  3. Either, doesn't really make any difference unless your doing project work ect... My HP Desktop D1460 has been playing up lately, likes chewing up paper and printing back to front. Nothing a claw hammer won't sort out.
  4. Western Digital, best grand for HDs.
  5. Just use Windows disk cleaner or/and Defragmenter, always safe.
  6. Lol, you should avoid Vista mate, it's a catalogue of problems, from my experience. If you have GOW or anything, my Gamertags Andrew932 (not very original) add me:)
  7. You'd need a **** good PC specification for that all on High settings, I don't think there's a PC out yet that can handle it on V.High. I'd still reccomend Crysis though and def Call of duty 4. Not a FPS, Gears of war is brilliant.
  8. I used to use Pc Tools antispyware, but started to cause errors and didn't update properly. Never tried the Firewall, doubt it's any better
  9. I'm sure if there was a lot of oil in the USA, George Bush would be sending out the cavalry to drill for it. I guess much of the oil is in the Northern region, particularily in Alaska which is in the Arctic so it could result in breaking enviromental laws, not that I'm sure he cares too much about air quality. What I don't get are why people keep moaning about the prices, everythings going up, it's what happens it's not something new. If it was too expensive then some people should cut down and use public transport and stop wasting electricity.
  10. Not bad I suppose, better than I thought on some of them. Runs smoothley so I'm not worried. Sais I can upgrade to 64-bit. Any idea how I would go about that?
  11. Thanks for the link! No way am I paying that though, I might as well sell the laptop off as spair parts then buy the screen.
  12. Just shows how much I know! Jaclaz, thanks for the links. After eventually finding the seriel number; N133L1-L01 I typed it into Spare parts warehouse but it came up with no results. Put it into Google and it came up with this; http://www.winner1999.com/En_ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=23 Must be other sites that sell the part!?
  13. Mines got a totally different back to it, same color just not those indents and divets. The fitting also looks different. Looks as if I might have to take it upto PC world to see what they can do...dread to think the charges they'll cough up for a generally inexpensive part! Anyway, it's shocking how easily these screens smash....I know it fell down a flight of stairs, but nothing else even scratched!
  14. Nope, I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find a replacement. Are you saying even though it's the same size fit, it might not work?
  15. Hi all, I've accidently cracked my Laptop screen (dropped it down the stairs) and I'm wondering how I would replace it? I have some idea on how to put it together (already taken the cracked on out) but wondering whether there are specific screens for scpecific laptops (don't know much about them) It's a cheap E-System 13.3 inch screen Intel celeron M430 1.73GHZ Intel 943GML (calistoga) + ICH7-M ...if that helps. This is the screen I'm thinkjing of buying; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dell-Latitude-CPi-La...VQQcmdZViewItem Does anyone now whether it'll be okj to fit into this? thanks.
  16. Does it really matter how fast the connection is, as long as you can surf the internet without problems.
  17. Hi all, Whenever I try and download a file, big or smallitkeeps going so far but then stalls and doesn't go further. This is also true when viewing videos on youtube, it goes so far then doesn't go any further but I can tell it's still downliading the video because if I move the pin timer across it views the latter part of the video and carrys on playing it. I know it's not my internet connection because it works fine on my other computer so it has to be something to do with the computer? I think it all started when I installed either Avast Professional Antivirus and Zone Alarm firewall, so it could be caused by one of these? I can't distinguise which one ebcause I installed themboth at the same time. Anyone know what my problem is? Thanks.
  18. Was using Norton but when the subscription ran out and wouldn't let me renew it I went back to Avast. Seems to work well with Zone Alarm.
