All this stuff about slipstreaming WMP 10 to xp cd is in vain...useles...bad...

I didnt find it helpful and anough.

That's a little extreme don't you think? It's through work like this that Obliviator & Bâshrat the Sneaky did that help/inspire others such as Gnome (WMP10 Complete Slipstream, Slipstream WMP10 and ALL Components) to create some really great products. Gnome is the first one to admit that his work is a result of theirs.

CREDIT:

Bâshrat the Sneaky and Obliviator they've done the most work.

And Bâshrat the Sneaky credits Obliviator--whose work you're criticizing

It's based on the post of Obliviator

In fact, look at Bâshrat the Sneaky's last post in the thread you think is so wonderful

Check this topic.

This one is superseeded by that one

Not thinking a forum or thread is useful to you--even though its obvious you haven't read it completely--is no reason to disparage the author. Mention one you've found one that you believe has more info then move on.

the purpose of this thread is an advanced procedure for integrating WMP10 into XP...

Since you are a beginner, I suggest that you read through the unattended guides and then use this procedure

http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/mediaplayer10.htm

I started out on this very guide and wmp10 did not install. Thats what led me here.

My svcpack.inf looks like this:

;Windows XP

[Version]

Signature="$Windows NT$"

MajorVersion=5

MinorVersion=1

BuildNumber=2600

[setupData]

CatalogSubDir="\i386\SVCPACK"

[ProductCatalogsToInstall]

[setupHotfixesToRun]

MP10Setup.exe

KB823353.exe /Q:A /R:N

KB842773.exe /Q /O /N /Z

KB867282.exe /Q /O /N /Z

KB873333.exe /Q /O /N /Z

KB873339.exe /Q /O /N /Z

KB883939.exe...

Any ideas on what I have wrong?

Thanks

The RyanVM Integrator can SlipStream WMP10 and many other programs. You may want to check out the link in my signature. Also you may want to browse RyanVM's forum for many other programs that you can slipstream etc. ;)
