mark Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 I use XP Home and Pro,Win 98 and now a couple oflive distros of linux for the fun of it.Are you asking which does someone prefer? It doesn't make a huge difference to me except I find Win98 is more prone to locking up. When I am more comfortable with Linux, I think I will like it better because there are so many components that can come with it that it is beyond just an OS.If you change the vote to "what do you prefer" or make it multiple choice "which ones do you use", I can make a valid choice.
prathapml Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 The above choices weren't "kinds" of OSes. They were the category's specimens itself, right there. And if you meant to ask "version" actually, there's lots of such topics already - approx 30 me thinks.

Tarun Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 Even though I'm using ME right now, I have a new computer on the way that will be running Windows XP Pro SP2. So I voted XP Pro.
prathapml Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 Finally!Someone on here, who does not hate WinME, lol.(see my old posts to look at the anti-WME sentiment, lol)
