At least two problems on WinRAR:

• Menu bar's text is black instead of white when the window is first opened (hovering on them restores the proper color)
• Status bar's text is white instead of black (or the background is the normal white instead of being darkened; Unreadable text)

This is not a Dark Magic issue.

If you're forcing dark mode using Mica for everyone:

The menu bar needs to be redrawn (DrawMenuBar) after forcing dark mode for target window.

Here is my modified DLL which fixes the first problem you mentioned. Tested with MFE 1.3.1.2.

Many programs created for skyrim modding has a built in dark mode that conflicts with dark magic.

Also maybe in the future a menu option to disable certain features of dark magic system wide and an excluded program list you can select/type executables into?

Or have dark magic disabled system wide and only enabled by selecting a program you want it to run in?

There are also many programs on my work labtop that get messed up with dark magic automatically applying to them with no way to disable per program or enable only to selected programs. I cannot share these programs because they are made by the company and would leak trade secrets.

I strongly suspect that you are breaking company policy by running/installing Dark Magic in the first place.

That's a stupid thing to say. Dark Magic (and StartAllBack) are designed to act as a part of operating system.

I don't need trade secrets but achieving 100% compatibility is the goal. Would like to know what kind of issues / broken UI there are.

For SSEEDIT there is a white outline in the right click menu when using this theme.

For Creation Kit platform extended you can see in the screenshots I sent what happens when enabling dark mode. Notice the status bar at the bottom as well turns white when using dark magic.

To get this dark theme to work you need to download skyrim creation kit along with the Creation Kit Platform Extended.

To enable the dark theme you need to open CreationKitPlatformExtended.ini and set uUIDarkThemeId=1

 

As for programs on my work laptop programs where made to operate high tech machinery that copys UI elements from the luna theme from windows xp and somehow integrates windows aero theme as well. It already looks bad without dark magic but looks super messed up with dark magic enabled. Text, highlight boxes, submenus have dark outlines and scrollbars are sometimes inverted even though it uses the scroll bars from the luna theme. I am not sure it is possible to get dark magic to work with every program especially when there are programs that use the windows themes in archaic ways.

The tabs in the file Properties dialog are broken in SmartFTP with Dark Magic enabled. I connected to a remote FTP site, right clicked a file and clicked properties. The screen recording shows with Dark Magic disabled, then enabled.

one question: Do you have problems with application signatures? Sometimes DarkMagic's dll is get blocked by BattleEye AntiCheat.

but the blockage happens to all games/apps with battleeye, easy anti cheat is not affected.

also, this happens sometimes, in worst cases, it prevent the game to run until i ll disable DarkMagic.
