jassenna Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 (edited) It seems your homepage has been hacked. The text below appeared in the (old) news item of 17 June 2019 "Windows 10 update will intentionally break some Bluetooth connections" : "___________________________________________________________________________________________" I removed the quote, because there has been time enough for the administrators become aware of the problem, so there is not needed to keep a duplicate of the offending text here. Edited May 21, 2023 by jassenna Removal of possibly offensive content
NotHereToPlayGames Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Yeah, I reported it within an hour or so of all of that profanity being posted. The Mods usually react must faster.
UCyborg Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 (edited) You mean you used the report button on OP's post? Not that I know much other ways for them to check other than contacting one of the mods directly and report button on the post is probably meant for offensive/problematic posts, this post was just quoting the text from the article at https://msfn.org/windows-10-update-will-intentionally-break-some-bluetooth-connections/, though indeed it is the way to let everyone behind the scenes know. Maybe only @xper has access to those articles. Just wanted to say it sounds funny in the way, to report the messenger. Edited May 14, 2023 by UCyborg
NotHereToPlayGames Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Ah yes, right you are. The messenger is fine, the Mods should be able to track that down.
Dave-H Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 I don't have the power to remove this spam content, which has probably been there for a long time unnoticed. https://msfn.org/windows-10-update-will-intentionally-break-some-bluetooth-connections/ Hopefully @xper or @Tripredacus will be able to do it. 2
Tripredacus Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 BTW it seems that page is now deleted entirely. 2
Dave-H Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 I had a PM from xper saying he'd fixed it. I guess that was how he fixed it! 3
Dave-H Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 The subsequent discussion about alternatives to the deceased RyanVM forum for discussion if MSFN goes offline move to here. 3
