Wait and see. For example XP2ESD took 15 months before releasing 1.6 few days back.

@George King this is absolutely not the same thing. We're talking about a website and you're talking about a program. The V5 website will be available soon for everyone.

And when I say soon, it's really soon.

@LonghornXP I have some News.

@maile3241 Has solved the query strings problem with url rewrite! So WU v5 will be ready soon.

How did you solve the famous Query Strings problem? And how do you make XP RTM and 2000 SP1/SP2 to be XPSP1 and 2000 SP3 to use WU today? In addition to these systems do not support SHA-2 in any way.

As mentioned, I mostly fixed it with url-rewrite

@George King Yes! You can start checking for updates here: http://v5.windowsupdate.overrender.com/v5consumer/begin.aspx

It's in french, but it's the development version of the website.

That's cool work you got right here, buddy. Awesome work.

I already have the URL-Rewrite extension installed in IIS, but what steps should I follow to create a rule that solves the Query String problem? And how is it possible to use WU in XP SP1 (system that does not support SHA2)?
