Roffen
I am somewhat confused wrt. the different Sp versions. I've always thought that Sp3 was the last and final Sp version made by Microsoft. Sp4 was a project created by MSFN people,or a sister organization? I used to install Sp4 after a new installaton of XpSp3. From the control panel, I could see Sp4 listed as an installed program, and it might be removed if you wanted to.. But now I think I have seen mention of Windows XPSp4 as if it should be a Microsoft product?

SP4 was created by @harkaz, who's a member both here and at RyanVM's, which forum actually is a sister org to MSFN, and also it's the place where we regroup when MSFN is down for some reason... The last SP version ever released by MS for XP is, in fact SP3.
Dave-H
I have noticed that the registry data for some XP updates does imply that they are part of SP4. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP4 I guess MS did at one time intend to release an official SP4 but never did.
HarryTri
All the post SP3 updates are signaled in this way so as to be deleted if an SP4 was ever released. It's in fact something typical, Microsoft never planned to release SP4 for Windows XP.

Several people (me including) gather at ryanvm when MSFN goes down to scratch our heads, it is seen as pretty much a sister site, yes (AFAIK).
Roffen
I have no knowledge of the Italian language, I wonder if jaclaz might help me with this one: https://apps.payments.ebay.it/xo/rt/view?cu=https%3A%2F%2Fpay.ebay.it%2Fxo%3Fsessionid%3D915138807018%26action%3Dview&cartid=100011024142057&flow=rxo&sellerid=iengo-shop I have bought two items at ebay, an internal DVD RW drive, and a motherboard. The above must be about one of them.

I cannot access that page (rather obviously as these are supposed to be communications between seller and buyer) but the Windows title "Richiedi il totale" I can see in the browser means "ask for the total", which implies (or should imply) that you bought more than one item from the same seller and - to avoid a surcharge on shipping and handling - you ask for the total to the seller that combines the items in a single shipment and sends you a new total to pay (that should be less than your current total). jaclaz
