Well, I would say that there is a not-so-fine line between the management of a hobby internet forum and a production floor.

I obviously belong to another (past ) era but in my day[1] production ruled over anything else, and managers (at the time there actually existed "real" managers) would have kicked asses left and right (and top and bottom) if someone caused a three hours stop, let alone if it was a recurring issue.

Though of course the IT department always was an exception, btw one of the reasons why I am somehow familiar with PC's is because historically the IT guys have been " a bunch of mindless jerks (who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes)".

It's the same nowadays.

Every single one of us ALWAYS has the "excuse" when asked "Why did you take the production floor down three hours?"

"Because I was denied my request to take it down for four minutes!  Right here is my paperwork request.  Right here is my paperwork denial."

Reboot has been down for me for a few days or more now, anyone else having the same issue. Edited by exogenesis

The reboot.pro is probably dying. Yesterday I could enter and today it works but there are 0 replies 0 views. Also strange topics with ads appear:

At least spammers there are far more funny and advertise quite useful goods - gulden printing hardware, in contrast to MSFN's lamers.

It's really sad, I learnt so much all these years thanks to Bootland/Reboot.pro.

I hope it gets fixed somehow.

Guess it's one of these times when reboot.pro is down again. (Think it has been for a few days, or so.)
