Hello to everyone! I would like to ask someone to help me with default win8 6.2.9200 theme with glow around windows titles(http://www.glass8.eu/themes/win8rtm_glow.png).

Glow effect around windows titles in this theme is not so strong as in win8cp and win8rp themes.

Could someone increase the level of glow around windows titles in this theme to the level in win8cp or win8rp themes?

It looks great now! But could i ask you to reduce glow level a little bit if its not difficult? On dark titles contrast is even too high now..

By the way, for those running Win 10 build 10074, I have made some minor updates over the past week and I'm not sure I posted all the latest files...

 

If you prefer no colorization of active vs. background windows to come from the theme atlas:

This next file adds just a bit of blue to the active window borders, since with the above it's difficult to get enough color in the borders, and I like the active windows to be nice and blue with a fairly low opacity.

Windows 10 Build 10162 stock atlas with white caption btns & glyphs, for dark window borders.

I've posted this in the Windows 10 sticky, but I'll post it here too.

I've made a neat little high resolution (1920x1080) custom glass reflection in Photoshop that I've tested on Windows 10. It looks quite nice on my system. Add it with the Aero Glass GUI tool. (My intensity is set at the middle, with glass opacity set 1/4th.)

With Win 10, Is it possible to have caption buttons of W8.1 (screen) with "aero glass" (blur as Win 7) ?

From what I can see, Microsoft is painting the caption buttons across the entire vertical space of the title bar now.

 

It's possible to reduce the title bar height by importing WindowMetrics information from an older system into the Win 10 registry, and it's possible to make a Theme Atlas that reduces the footprint of the caption buttons, so one can get close to what you want.  I used to like flat-ish looking caption buttons, but I've started to like the deep gel button look now.  Mostly my buttons stay very subtle until one hovers over them.

You can modify button height by setting CaptionWidth in registry (this value is used both for width and height). I don't know the conversion formula from this registry value, but it seems that resulted height is (CaptionWidth in px + 8) limited by title bar's height.

I didn't have any luck experimenting with that value before.  I'll try it again...

 

I'm assuming you're meaning this one?

CaptionWidth  REG_SZ  "-255"

 

Whenever I set it to a small positive value it shortens the buttons on the Taskbar, but does nothing useful to the buttons in the title bars.
