Trying this on build 10240 this is my result :/ Hopefully Big Muscle will roll out an update soon. Its pretty s***ty MS won't do it.

Thanks man. Hoping to see an updated debug version for 10240 10130 works but in 10240 the glass randomly stops working and you have to close dwm.exe and reopen it.

Does it have glass effect? Because Windows 10 TP does not have glass

Glass must be provided by software.  See the Windows 10 thread in this sub-forum for developments in that area.

 

The short answer:  Right now, at this moment, there's no solution.  But there might be one someday.

Hi all-  I've been mostly a lurker, but using aeroglass and watching the forum for awhile.  I'm thinking this might be a limitation within Windows, but is it possible to dissociate the opacity level of active vs. inactive frames?  Basically, I want the active frame to be rich blue, with slight transparency, and have the inactive frame be essentially colorless, but transparent with blurred background.  Every time I try tweaking the levels in the registry for inactive frames, they turn dark, when I want them to turn more transparent.  Anybody have any ideas?

 

EDIT:  Also, is there some sort of theme creation tool for the Custom Atlas png files?  Or is it just hand-editing?

Sure, just use my GUI utility which allows you to specify different values for both active and inactive frames. Just the opacity level cannot be different on Win10.

After inspection of this msstyles you gave me I can see it's very different so I will have to make a few changes, the one I posted is more a Windows 7 RP mix, some may like it still I guess though.

 

 

Looks nice! You even got the control panel sidebars fixed - very nice. Any chance of getting that going on the RTM version of 10? I and countless others would be very interested.

 

In the meantime, I'm working on installing the 8RP theme for Windows 8.1 and am experiencing a minor bug where when a window is maximized, there appears to be an incorrectly colored row of pixels on top of each of the buttons, as pictured here with two different color schemes used (you may have to zoom into the picture to see it):

 

 

 

It is hard to see on the "exit" button, but is most obvious on "restore" and "minimize" controls. Here are some mockups of how it should look, with the top row of pixels inside of each button colored correctly:

 

 

 

The problem does not show up unless the Window is maximized. It appears with and without Glass8 and/or other RP atlas themes installed/enabled.

Not exactly, not without a full theme replacement anyway, and fully operational, polished themes may be a little scarce since Win 10 is so new.

 

But you can get part of the way there...  This is the best I've been able to do by using registry reducing the title bar size via registry mods and reducing the button graphics via a theme atlas replacement (facilitated by Big Muscle's software):

Yes, that's true.  For me that's not an issue as I prefer my Taskbar and contents to be small and the system stuff to keep out of the way of the real work.
