    iPod Nano

Some USB devices require you to install their software and drivers prior to connection, and some require you to install after connection and some actually require you to connect during installation.
  2. Have you used any other programs to make the install disk (nlite, etc), and the cleaning of the case the componets may and may not help. I found in my experience that BIOS Hard Drive cables RAM can cause this alot. I can't say specificlly what your cause, their is other reason and solutions. Recommend appling each members posts.
  3. With Microsoft Rolling out OGA to treat legitment users like criminals, and Office 12 in beta, what are our choices. I for one will start using alternatives to MS Office after my trial of Office 2007 trial ends in Feb of 07. Corel Wordperfect StarOffice OpenOffice (free version of Sun's StarOffice) iWork
  4. AMD's acquisition of ATI, i wonder is they done this to survive in the INTEL dominated world.
  5. With the security woes does this end javascript or limit it to a holt. More info at link http://msn.com.com/FAQ%3A+JavaScript+insec...subj=ns_6100019
  6. Microsoft plans next week to charge a nominal fee for Office 2007 Beta 2 downloads, a move that runs counter to the practice held by most software companies. For more detail click below http://msn.com.com/2100-3513_22-6099987.ht...subj=ns_6099987
  7. I wonder where i fall in. I wonder if my post(s) are more destructive then helpful. Been looking to create a new sig, but not many good pics. I perfer mine to be anime.
  8. Here is another Microsoft woe, are we ready. Office Genuine Advantage http://www.computerworld.com/action/articl...rticleId=112472
  9. I am a PS(all) fan all the way, but the PS3 is a flop already, the cost of development, design and the actual cost of production exceeds what it would to sell retail. Pretty much Sony is going to loose big and i do mean big. I have monitored this new tred of Sony for awhile. I had hoped to belive that PS3 will play older PS2/1 games but it looks more of a limited compatability or none at all. It does have one favorable thing, it will pay all regional coded DVD disc, meaning it will play a Region 1, 2, 3,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 0, . No need to buy a regoin free DVD player or a player for each region.
  10. AM2, AMD's own true release dump. AM2 in a since is an increaes in one extra pin vs 939, but it does offer something truely great, official support for DDR2. If you were to compare some systems exactly the same, there is little improvement. It could be a way for AMD to force users to upgrade and potentially rob of money. Who knows. What is the communitys thoughs? You be the deciding factor. http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2738 http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2762
  11. Before jumping the gun and perhaps wanting ot over clock your processor, look at hese articles http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2795 http://anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2800&p=1
  12. Yea, i would move to AMD AM2 boards too, in terms of upgradeability, but if you the pc you have now is for lite gameing and office use, then you decide. I decided to build my sister a new PC (about 404 dollars) so she can do here college work, flight simulators, and other things, oh yea, did i mention she is in the Air Force.
  13. How did you create the Bootable image, Their is an option on the bootimage,
  14. Sometimes the solutions are simple, i have not used this method in a long while. I need to to this method out of retirement and add it to my list of simple repairs.
  15. Here is Socket a boards http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....=&maxPrice= To elimnate my sisters PC woes, i am building here a new system.
  16. Low Level Format is old, if the hard drive ever dies, or just gives errors, then just replace the drive. But if you think you can save the drive, get the LLF utility from the manufacturer or a different one, LLF is for well experienced people.
  17. My sister has the exact ASUS mobo, and it was doing the same things, along with random reboots. I have upgraded the bios, disabled serial and printer ports, only has ATI video card, and using intergrated sound. I have talked to ASUS tech regarding these events during my troubleshooting process, they had no real answers. I called Nvidia regarding the chipsets in the board, they gave no real answers except to talk to ASUS. I have stablized the board for now, but as for the lenght of time before it starts again i do not know, also this PC is not used for any gaming but for Office use.
  18. REcommend that you make a ASR and Emergancy Recovery Disk. It will help in the next troubleshooting.
  19. First things first, get access to the recovery console, slect repair XP, repari by console, then logon to your installation, (you will need your ADMIN PASS) then type in chkdsk /f If that does not do it, prepare for a lenghty battle to fix, normally you will need your emergancy repai disk that you created or ARS (Automatic System Recovery) Disk (usually created at during your install or after). If you think you can do any of the following, your next and final choice is a format and reinstall.
  20. Remember, Low LEvel Formats is the last resort, but do not do it on a disk with bad sectors
  21. First things first. Check for the following Loose cables switches (jumper settings) stuck keyboards. Also so you mean the Recovery Console. If i recall you can attemp to logon
