    Weird eSATA Bug

Logical Disk Manager is set to Automatic. The settings for Fast Removal, Performance are greyed out. I can't change them. I have no option in my Bios to use AHCI. Which I know is for hot swap support. I've never had jumpers on my drive. I can't figure it out, but it's definitely something with SP3 + nLite combination. Anywho back to using USB for now

    Weird eSATA Bug

I can't get Windows to recognize my external hard drive using the eSATA interface. It's like plug and play doesn't work for it. I have to manually refresh the device manager, and then it picks it up I have a feeling it's something with SP3, and with something I might have taken out. I always nlite my XP's the same way, so I'm pretty sure it's something weird in SP3. I have an nvidia 680i sli board. A sata cable running to one of my onboard sata ports, and then an esata bracket for the back so I can use my external hard drive that way. I have attached my nlite configuration. Also at first I thought it was a chipset driver issue. I used some modified chipset drivers at first, and then I also tried the official from nvidia, and the same things. Cheers for the help! 3. Great news their printer is the HP OfficeJet 7310. It relies solely on TCP/IP, and nothing else. The HP software takes care of the rest. Can't wait to see it in action. Cheers
  4. coucou I think the reason why you can only use IP instead of Computer Names is because of the one Network Tweak. Hide PC In Workgroups/Domain? I know you said you're not on a Domain, but as far as I know you do have to be in a Workgroup to be able to share files and printers right? And here's some questions of my own. I'm going to be making an nLite'd XP for my gf's computer. Well the way I usually create mine the file & print sharing never works afterwards. Because simply put I don't need them. But she's going to be using a shared printer at her house. So I have a few questions as well regarding this thread. For one I'll be needing print sharing only, I could careless about file sharing. In the Component Removal of nLite under Network will NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Protocol be needed for printer sharing? Also anything else needed in that section? Also in the Operating System Options section is there any specific Command-Line Tools I should keep for printer sharing? I usually just keep ipconfig.exe, as I never use any of the others! Visual Basic Scripting Support? And then in the Services section. Application Layer Gateway? Distributed Transaction Coordinator? I know SNMP must be kept, and the TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper, and Universal Plug and Play Device Host! And then the Network tweaks, I'm sure some of them have to effect the way print sharing is used! Just ridiculous the crap you need to share a frickin printer I mean is there anyway to share a printer without having to resolve to XP's native way? I've attached my session. Thanx in advance! iPod Nano

Most definitely! Just need to figure out what It's not mine duder. It's someone else's PC, and iPod. Just doing it for them! Trust me if I had the money I'd get myself a JetAudio. iPod's are crap, and so is their s***ty software!

    iPod Nano

Yes I know this. Apple recommends this with iPods. As do other hardware manufacturer's like Wireless Network Cards "LinkSys" for example. But I can get away with doing this on the network cards. It should still work regardless. I've tried this, and it doesn't work. Not once during, or after iTunes or iPod Updater Software did it ask me to connect. Going to run some more tests today. Will make a fresh nLite'd XP, and try again.

    iPod Nano

Plugin in the iPod Nano into the USB Port, and the new Hardware Wizard pops up. Click on Next to automatically install and get this dreadful thing I've seen in the past with USB Devices while having an nLited XP Pro! Device Manager Latest iTunes and iPod Updater Software are installed prior to inserting into USB. I tried all USB ports, and get this same thing each time. Weird thing is 1GB USB Memory Stick works fine. I love using nLite, and this is the only quirk I've had so far. Is the issue with USB devices. I attached my Last Session.ini for the nLite Techies. Installing XP Pro as is isn't even an option! nLite has spoiled me indeed! Cheers! P.S. Also installed RyanVM's latest update pack, including WMP10 addon! Could be the culprit?
