  1. UMM gee I dunno...because its the best solution, easy and it works! This is what I use for my laptop BTW shadesters to make sure your HDD is configured correctly just use the default bios setting, raid should be set correctly by default
  2. Make sure when you integrate the driver with nLite you use text mode (not pnp) option BTW do you have a link to your driver? I have a Qosmio G35 and I have a personal DriverPacks MassStorage with the Toshiba Raid driver for my model (you use DPs_BASE to integrate it not nLite) if both laptops use the same driver I can upload it for you Edit: just checked support and they both use same driver, here is my MODDED MassStorage DriverPack for you Deleted... You copy the contents of both MCE CDs to a folder Use DPs_BASE to integrate the driverpack (you extract the tool and put the *.7z in the DriverPacks folder) making sure you check the DriverPack MassStorage and the "text mode" options (use all the defaults for the rest of the options) Then after you are done use nLite to make it bootable and you should be OK
  3. Where does one get directx 10?
  4. What version do you have?

  6. What dont you get? It would also help if you mentioned what language OS you have Install this hotfix for v6.1 or this update to v7 (of course you select the one for your specific Operating System's language) Edit: I think I know maybe why you may be confused...you have to rename the file from lhmstscx.dll to mstscax.dll and replace it in system32 (may need to register it also using regsvr32 mstscax.dll)
  7. Another solution would be to upgrade rdp 6.1 and go to the Windows 7 version http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969084
  8. You could try to integrate sp3 into XP inside a Virtua Machine with nLite, if that doent work try manually integrating sp3 (without nLite) inside the VM
  9. Well this comes/installs by default with windows (check i386\asms\52\msft\windows\net\rtcdll\ of your installation disk or %windir%\winsxs\x86_Microsoft.Windows.Networking.RtcDll*\ on your HDD), but you can get a updated version of this installed with Windows Messenger 5.1 rtcdll.dll v5.3.5470.114
  10. On actual installed windows 7? If so you right click the key and choose permissions
  11. These files in the "%programfiles%\nLite" folder make sure they are there (or install c++ redist) msvcm90.dll msvcp90.dll msvcr90.dll
  12. Asegurate que estas usando el mas reciente v1.4.9.1 y para estar seguro instale c++ redist 2005 y 2008
  13. You dont need to do this fix with your DVD but it will still work. IDK about USB flash drives, I think you dont have to because I have not seen anybody else have this problem...only USB hdd users BTW I am glad it worked for you too, took me awhile to discover it after trying nearly everything else
  14. No I did NOT use 7zip I used dism...I was just using 7zip to show you setup.exe & yes my boot.wim is from x86 so IDK what image number the x64 version uses
  15. Make sure you are in boot.wim (image number 2)
  16. What also sucks is the Win7 USB DVD Download Tool doe not recognize my USB HDD as a valid USB drive, it may think its an external one and this probably would be a solution to fix this autounattend.xml problem...I have to use the old way with diskpart to make mine, but hey, I found a way to make it work so no worries here
  17. I had this same problem with my autounattend.xml not being detected/used when installing from (gigabank) usb hdd...to solve this I mounted boot.wim (image #2) and added my autounattend.xml next to mounted setup.exe 99% certain this will fix your problem
  18. Just worry about the engine somebody else can make that if they want...a xpize icon pack for vista/7
  19. http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?/to...e__gopid__57373
  20. I think it was this hotfix that messed up my WMP11, try doing this see if it fixes it http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925704/

    Icons licence

If you are talking about the Vize "program icon" yes you may need permission to use it but if you are talking about the icons that it uses to patch Vista those are probably open for all to use
  22. You dont need to use msiexec or msistub anymore to launch msi installers its built in and you dont have to use & to launch a seperate install process you can use as many RunProgram lines as you like...try ;!@Install@!UTF-8! Title="XXProgram Setup Installation" BeginPrompt="Do you want to install XXProgram on your computer?" Directory="C:\\Windows\\System32\\" RunProgram="cmd.exe /c copy /v configuration.conf %windir%\\temp\\" RunProgram="setup.msi" GUIMode="2" ;!@InstallEnd@!
  23. Dont kill the program, process -q is equivalent to hitting the close button
  24. You cant, you have to mount the DVD (using WAIK) to a folder you can access, then you copy your oem images and you add them to the registry using a .reg file or using autounattend.xml
  25. If you use XP there is a program called PowerOff that is really good for this...I suggest you also use a program called process.exe (also works on Vista) to close the program instead of killing it with tskill or taskkill If you have Vista or Windows 7 you dont need poweroff you can use the task sheduler to create a task to close a program (using process.exe) the shutting down your PC (using shutdown.exe thats comes with windows) at a certain time of day Here is what I how I use the task sheduler to shurt down my PC at a certain time of day
