Copy the install files to the VM while Integration Components are enabled then turn it off for the install (I notice when Int Cmpnts are enabled not too many processes are running in the taskmgr) You may need to shutdown & reboot (in the settings uncheck Int Cmpnts on startup)

AutoUnattend.xml has no effect
ricktendo replied to cdr's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
I had the same problem with my autounattend.xml and windows 7 installing from my 4 gb usb hdd, I tried everything from applying the .xml to my mounted image using dism and putting/naming the .xml everywhere & everything I finally solved this by mounting boot.wim index 2 (the one with setup.exe) and adding the .xml to it...this way for sure it will take -

Where the F is the dam WAIK for sp2? Been waiting for that for awhile now

The reason the Show Desktop icon sometimes fails is that the quicklaunch dir needs to exist or it fails sometimes When you slipstream a program that installs during T13/has a quicklaunch short you will not notice this error

The xpize 5 final release will let you patch an I386 directory. I don't know how the earlier XPize integrated with nLite though. Chances are this feature will be available in the next beta, it'll be out within 3 weeks from now (early-mid June) XPize had silent switches to chose the i386 directory, nLite I after integration ran any xpize*.exe with the silent commands to the same directory it just got through integrating (something of the sort) It also had silent switches were you could chose the options of the program (this was for unattended install during T13) /S This switch is obligatory. /norestore This switch will skip the creation of a System Restore point during XPize installation. /nouxtheme This switch will skip the uxtheme.dll patch, necessary for unsigned visual styles support. /nofiles This switch will skip the installation of ALL system and miscellaneous files. Only the Extras will be installed. /nodll This switch will skip the installation of all .dll files, except Administrative Tools, Outlook Express and 3rd party/miscellaneous ones. /nomsxml3 This switch will skip the installation of msxml3.dll. /noquartz This switch will skip the installation of quartz.dll. /noexe This switch will skip the installation of all .exe files, except Administrative Tools, Outlook Express and 3rd party/miscellaneous ones. /nocpl This switch will skip the installation of all .cpl files, except Administrative Tools, Outlook Express and 3rd party/miscellaneous ones. /noocx This switch will skip the installation of all .ocx files, except Administrative Tools, Outlook Express and 3rd party/miscellaneous ones. /noadmin This switch will skip the installation of the Administrative Tools files. /nooe This switch will skip the installation of Outlook Express files. /nomisc This switch will skip the installation of 3rd party/miscellaneous files. /noextras This switch will skip the installation of ALL extras. /novs This switch will skip the installation of the visual style. /noicons This switch will skip the installation of ALL custom icons. /noboot This switch will skip the installation of the Boot Screen. /nologon This switch will skip the installation of the Logon Screen. /nomsgina This switch will skip the installation of the Shutdown & Logoff Screen (msgina.dll). /noscreen This switch will skip the installation of the Screensaver. /notask This switch will skip the installation of TaskSwitchXP. /nocursors This switch will skip the installation of the Cursor Scheme. /nocmd This switch will skip the installation of the Command Line Colors. /noskins This switch will skip the installation of ALL 3rd party Software Skins. /nowall This switch will skip the installation of the Wallpaper. /lite This switch will install XPize using the Lite installation preset. /express This switch will install XPize using the Express installation preset. BTW you mentioned something about a program for making the icon packs, what will it do? I have been gathering Windows 7 icons for a Pack I plan on making

There has to be a WAIK for Vista SP2 because Windows 7 will not be final until sometime the endo of this year, so MS will have to update WAIKsp1 to sp2
-
No, the ones that were leaked by the Russian site are the same ones on Technet and MSDN, the hashes are the same You can tell its legit by simply looking at the files on the root of the DVD especially setup.exe (its digitally signed)
-
I have tried already integrating updates/extras into Vista SP2 with vLite and WAIK7 RC and I get errors on 1st login, so you may have to wait for WAIK for Vista SP2

Windows 7 Release Candidate (build 7100) ERROR
ricktendo replied to maxXPsoft's topic in Unattended Windows 7/Server 2008R2
So let me get this straight, because of this error (which will be fixed in the final release) we have to move to 64 bit? What if I they found that error with the 64 bit, does that mean that you would have moved to 32 bit? Don't be ridiculous Edit: only thing that sux about this update is it cannot be applied to an offline image, you have to manually do it but thats easy -
xpize 5 will include the black theme that was exclusive to XPize Darkside. only the THEME? not the other resources like system logon/logout, screen, etc? Edit: W3bbo cleared it up bellow
-
XPize 5 will just be the engine that patches the files, the packages/icon packs I think will be many from lots different people...one could expect to see maybe even a new section on sites like devianArt devoted strictly to XPize/Vize icon resources/packs by other 3rd parties
