Off Topic: has anybody managed to integrate updates into Vista SP2 DVD? If so what program did you use? vLite and all WAIK's dont do the trick, get error on 1st user login

msgina.dll bitmaps (shutdown dialog) is fine, only the shell32.dll bitmaps (wait dialog and logoff dialog) are the problem

My install language is Spanish and the names of my bitmaps in shell32.dll (v6.0.2900.5753 - KB960253) are: 14351.bmp 14353.bmp 14354.bmp 14355.bmp 14356.bmp BTW how about doing some .scr files like I requested here?

Hiya I just found this icon in Windows SteadyState (ForceLogoff.exe) and I thought it would be gr8 for the next XPize, it can be used on the .scr files from XP to give them a nicer XP'ish look xpscr.ico

I think what he wants to know where to find a update.exe, spupdsvc.exe, spuninst.exe, spmsg.dll, spupdsvc.exe, spcustom.dll, updspapi.dll updated to v6.3.15.0 for KB898461 hotfix for a updatepack If that is what you want you can find these updated in the IE8 installer: update.exe spupdsvc.exe spuninst.exe spmsg.dll spupdsvc.exe updspapi.dll Its missing one, you can find this in KB961184: spcustom.dll

Yes me too I hate this, to get around it boot from a Vista dvd create your partitions, format then stop the install...now boot from your Windows 7 disk and voila no more 200 mb of lost space

Yes you can use vLite but you have to extract the msu from the exe installer

Your patcher is very impressive, I notice it does not delete any icons it only replaces the icons with the same size and resolution as are in the .ico file

vLite and nLite may be dead but their legacy lives on...Microsoft has removed allot of bundled programs from Windows 7 and made them optional downloads (Live Essentials), also its given some of the programs that were not removed (IE8, etc) the ability to turn them off/on IMO this is directly due to n/vLite
