  8. Vacuum and/or Air Can about 12 inches away from the surface. Experiment getting a little closer as it depends on the stability of the keyboard. Putting laptop keys back on is a pain in the arse. If you see the CPU sucked up into the vacuum you know you got a little to close
  9. Some 10,000 RPM HDs make a wining sound when they are spinning-up and after a time make a similar sound when spinnig-down. Ït is a high pitch sound like "Vrrrr...". Is that the sound? If so then dont worry about it because it is supposed to sound like that. Now, 5400 RPM and 7200 RPM drives seldom ever make that sound unless they are crunching data to the max like a server. Since it is in idle mode I would discount the later, however there are probally background processes running which cause a HD to spin-up. Are you serving on the internet or across a LAN? You can test the hard drive for fault by running testing software that is available free from this site http://www.passmark.com/ Some drives make that sound when the mice running on the belt bump into each other

  20. 35K! Oh please.... I am refering to the width as it causes some monitors to scroll sideways. You might have 17 inch or larger monitor and would not notice it.
  21. Those are your service pack installs and can be removed in the control panel, add/remove, I think. Later, you might have problems you know. You can boot with a boot disk (see the guides section) and delete anything. Just make sure you have copies of them like Aaron said. BTW, can you make the picture a little smaller please.
  22. To the best of my knowledge there is not a program out there that will enable HT on the fly. From everything I have read it is impossible to accomplish anyway. What few claims-to-fame that have appeared across the internet were quickly dispelled owed largely to misunderstandings.
  23. WinImage does that and much more John0877. Give it a try. It will even span diskettes across CDs
  24. With Windows Server 2003, Microsoft has "morphed" its certification program into two very distinct audience tracks: MCSAs and MCSEs. Should you go for, wait or forget about these next-gen credentials? Find out here.
