  1. Looks quite good any chance on changing the background, would like to give this a try with my UA.
  2. Look Pauly as I said you really do need to look http://unattended.msfn.org/]This & follow the examples Alanoll has spent countless hours preparing this exhaustive guide pls take the time in reading. UA installs don't just happen in 5mins work I'll assure you.
  3. You really need to follow the guide thoroughly. the unatended.txt should be simply renamed to winnit.sif & placed in the i386 folder one level below the root of your disk. This has been documented here many times & sure a simple search would have revealed this for you good luck & welcome to MSFN.
  4. In runoncex I really suggest you test this live in windows by moving your apps to systemdrive instead & running the cmd, there is certainly a problem with your homemade installers I'd say?
  5. Oh, but that's winrar. And this is 7zip. And yes, its interesting for a lot of people, so you can't say that its old news for them. Anyways, it would be nice to know a few more tips that you know. Considering you knew this one since a lot of time. I agree its easy to shoot down, but as you know more about this subject using Winrar, I'm sure you could forward your findings & possibly contribute by presenting a guide??
  6. If your making a UA for a friend etc. Id be inclined to use their source disk,Key & a copy of their wpa.dbl. Do the UA thing as per usual & simply put the key in winnit.sif & the wpa.dbl in sys32 in the oem structure as the guide states. This should be OK for what you need to do.
  7. Yeah Bud, 7 Zipp If ya didn't already know is a compression prog that will compress to possibly the best ratio. You can also make self installers using this App. Firstly search the net for 7 Zip & download its free. Then have a search round here quite a few of the dudes here have nice guides on using it (Astavista for one) good luck. Im sure you'll find it worthwhile. EDIT: Darn MCT got in afore me hes quick that boy.
  8. same problem here. You mean the folder you get is 293MB, right? we're probably making the same mistake. If you ever figure it out, post it here! Wheee!!! It works!!! I just needed to do an admin install point (setup.exe /a) Don't quite get what you mean there? My source was built from an admin installation? Can you please elaborate on this?
  9. Well done Alanoll, a very nicely setout guide & Im sure it will be helpful to most of us as sound reference material. I think it would be a suitable starting point to any would be spammer here.
  10. C'mon guys after fifty odd views & four DL's surely someones has a comment??
  11. Well thats about where I'm at the moment with the driver integration. I find the software upgrade a monthly thing now.
  12. if you are using my installer.exe definitely not going to work. I the guide is so easy to follow a child could do it. I'm a big kid I'll vouch for that .
  13. You speak with some experience there ma boy.
  14. I think Ive answered this pretty obvious to me the Ultra files would have to be renamed or would have been overwritten or errored. Prior to me including this Raid driver in my UA, just included the relevant entries for this driver below in a txt doc if someone kindly take a look & comment. Im fairly new to the driver additions. Bashy has pretty well spoilt me in that department.
  15. This may have been answered, I guess I don't want to wade through a gazillion Promise posts or so. Wandering re the scsi & scsi load sections of the txtsetup.sif file, I have multiple file versions of the Promise ultra. At least two anyway. Can anyone tell me if I only require to include the first instance of: Ultra = Ultra.sys,4 in scsi.load & Ultra = “Promise UltraXXX Series Controllers” in scsi or do these require file name change? The [sourceDisksFiles] & [HardwareIdsDatabase] sections have the relevant information for each version. Thanks in advance.
  16. @ Asta Thanks for sharing those reg tweaks a few I did not think of dude.
  17. No one ever finishes these man, they just become faster & more professional.
  18. I was in the same boat... easiest solution? Use a higher resolution... 1024x768 or 1280x1024 should give you enough room @ Alanoll Thanks for that. Yeah I set my resolutions in winnit.sif but the XP ATI driver tends to default it back to 800 x 600 for some reason & the apps in Runonceex go off the screen?
  19. OK so this will run those blocks of 15 progs or so without a reboot & keep the consecutive numbering system for each app in every block?
  20. Could you possibly give an example of your first method, how you are calling the second cmd? Regards Maverick
  21. Very clever idea, keep us posted on your progress there. @ Alanoll youve been very busy there?
  22. Hey Asta thats a nice addittion of the compressed drivers ya like a Energizer ya never stop ma boy .
  23. Very interesting will keep that in mind.
  24. Hey Asta your the best :thumbup , well get on with it then ??
