Do you have winbom.ini in the root of the disk? & also Barts "Program" or "programs" folder need also to be in the root?

No I don't have VMWare,will give that a try with original i386 folder.

I tried changing to setupx.exe in the .cmd file CMDOW @ /HID REGEDIT /S nero.reg Setup=setupx.exe /SN=1axx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx /WRITE_SN /SILENT /NO_UI /NOREBOOT /NOLICENSE /NOCANCEL Same as first post, pops up the go to control panel & config windows componets??

Thanks modified the setup & repackaged but gettin the unero.exe not found popup. Checked the relevant dir in nero & found only the unero.cfg file only no .exe?

Latest Nero update is out I manually updated on top of my current version & worked fine. Problem is if I repackage with 7Zipp for silent install complains re: go to control panel & config windows componets etc...Not a problem with earlier versions or do I have a bad update I DLL'd anyone else noticed this? I have always used Evilvoices method & never had a prob till now...

Just updating my original Multidvd & experiencing this problem. I still use the old diskemu & find it very reliable. I made the xp source using Goshs method ( same as previously done) with the boot files in the root & i386 dir in setup. Altered the relevant files setupldr.bin & Txtsetup.sif to the correct paths. Got the cd ident files in the root. When I boot this in virt pc I select xp in the menu xp iniatial setup comes up etc but while loading errors & complains 3waredrv.sys is not present there is only a cabbed ver of this in i386 3waredrv.sy_ Went over this many times now, I do not have any trouble with xp outside of Multibooting works in UA a treat. Any thoughts on this appreciated....

@ Welcome Yes the disk does matter & requires the correct key as stated above.

Welcome & pls remove your serial from the sif. check for typos eg should be [Components] & ensure the paths are correct in the Shell section. Cheers

Your system32 folder should be installed inside $$ You have duplicated folders no good. $OEM$\$$\system32 Your $1\Install should be parallel to $$ Check the unattended guide folder structure again... Welcome to MSFN.....

With the apparent security flaws & what not every coupla weeks it would make sense to have a min of sp2 slipped into your source cd/dvd.

Anyone had any joy with PDF Factory installing silently & register? I scripted in Autoit to install the app but can't seem to register silently??

Very interesting, know this is slighty off topic but is it possible to change the icon of an existing cont panel ext in the system32 folder. eg. I shortcut for instance the IE options to the desktop in UA but unfortuneately without the icon? The inetcpl.cpl file only?

All looks ok,your AVG app has that been repackaged?? because it will not run UA without switches? If you haven't do a quick search for avg7 all the info there. The only other thing I'd suggest is to put all your apps in sub directorys eg Install\Adobereader\setup.exe just cleans it up a little & makes it easy to find.

Welcome, Yes you are correct with the apps as far as the msi files mostly these need to be extracted from an .exe prior to UA installation but not always depends on the App as Slimzsky has said a very good starting point is the guide & keenly recomend you read over & test your creation then post if you have any trouble,there is much to consider though.
