  1. Worked fine for the home page thanks Un4given1, still NG for display settings seem to think thr ATI card drivers play havoc somehow?
  2. I seem to have this problem in ua as far as the screen properties settings & Internet home page setting in winnit.sif. Both of these settings are correct in the sif but are never installed right after? See my winnit.sif attached
  3. OK could you elaborate, my problem being it seems to upset my cleanup.cmd by the rebooting. EDIT: But won't the guirunonce be called straight after runonceex? I know the guide says it executes at the same time but I have found it to be otherwise? I need to clear out minimal files in the install & driver folders on the main drive before the reboot how can I do this? Java's rebooting straight after installation.
  4. Thanks Ryan best install it seperately then?
  5. Got very tired with this up very late last night trying to sort, ended up dumping my autoit script & modified the setup.txt to setup.iss thanks to a member in these pages just can't remember his name?? I used his runonce ex & modified now working flawlessly thanks Guys. REG ADD %KEY%\120 /VE /D "Partition Magic 8.00" /f REG ADD %KEY%\120 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\pm800\setup\Setup.exe -s -f1\"%CDROM%\Software\pm800\setup\setup.iss"\" /f
  6. Re this update 501, I don' know whats goin on if I do a clean install of it in windows installs fine & doesn't reboot when I install UA from dvd using Runonceex off %cdrom% always causes a reboot & fails to install my next app & reboots & completes the rest of the apps?? Heres my code: REG ADD %KEY%\130 /VE /D "Sun Java msi update 501" /f REG ADD %KEY%\130 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\Sunjava\jre501.msi /qb-! /passive REBOOT=ReallySuppress SYSTRAY=0 WEBSTARTICON=0 ADDLOCAL=jrecore IEXPLORER=1 JAVAUPDATE=0" /f REG ADD %KEY%\140 /VE /D "Spybot Search & Destroy" /f REG ADD %KEY%\140 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\spybot\spybot.exe" /f It however installs the Sunjava but misses Spybot upon the next reboot? Spybot will normally install OK.
  7. Don't know exactly either, pretty sure the newer PM is not the same as the earlier Powerquest PM8 one. @Nologic Tried that also NG. Quote: Any ways the proper way would for the batch would look like so: REG ADD %KEY%\120 /VE /D "Partition Magic 8" /f REG ADD %KEY%\120 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\pm800\Setup\pm8pre.exe" /f REG ADD %KEY%\120 /V 2 /D "%systemdrive%\install\pm800\Setup\setup.exe /s /v /qn" /f
  8. But without the two extra \"? "\" %systemdrive%\install\pm800\Setup\pm8pre.exe setup.exe\" /s" /f so: REG ADD %KEY%\120 /VE /D "Partition Magic 8" /f REG ADD %KEY%\120 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\pm800\Setup\pm8pre.exe setup.exe /s /v /qn" /f This is powerquests partition magic 8 a few years old now. Not working with the above switches Astalavista.
  9. OK but this was installing fine in the original batch that called an autoit.exe & then pm8 setup.exe. I was just looking for a simple solution to convert this batch over to Runonceex that was all.
  10. Just converting an old batch I have for Partition magic 8 which uses an Autoit script but I would like to convert this to Runonceex but having a little difficulty changing, this is my original cmd I was using: start /wait %systemdrive%\INSTALL\APPLICATIONS\pm800\Setup\pm8pre.exe setup.exe start /wait %systemdrive%\INSTALL\APPLICATIONS\pm800\Setup\setup.exe /s & here is the runonceex cmd I changed to have tried a few variations & read the guide can't quite get there? REG ADD %KEY%\120 /VE /D "Partition Magic 8" /f REG ADD %KEY%\120 /V 1 /D "\"%systemdrive%\install\pm800\Setup\pm8pre.exe setup.exe\" /s" /f on one line of course.
  11. Well this has been discussed here in great depth & there doesn't seem to be a simple solution to these people who obviously don't read, apparently they want everyone else to do the hard yards for them.
  12. Yeah Id love to take the opportunity to wish you all the best for the New year 2005 & may it be better one for us all. (Heh not that the preceeding one was that bad).
  13. Most certainly especially so if on it for long hours, I couldn't go back now.
  14. I did however but didn't reboot straight after uninstall. EDIT: Should ave known didnt uninstall the old properly. Thanks Ryan looks like another winner me boy.
  15. Just manually ran it windows & caused a reboot after? Have not ran it ua as yet.
  16. Must say its been a dam sight better since the procurement of one 17" TFT screen much better on the optic nerve.
  17. Well I tend to think Incroyable is correct. I really think peoples should thoroughly look & read through as many pages as practicle before posting, sometimes I think its just laziness. I remember myself for many months prior to becoming a member here I would constantly read & read & read sometimes to no avail, I would then post & most likely Alanoll would get up my nose in a helpful kinda way. Just my two bobs worth.
  18. Thanks Bâsh thought that was the case.
  19. Well I tried mine in both Virt PC & on my spare P4 test rigg both no go. Again is ATI hardware dependant on install I'm thinking so?
  20. Maybe an obvious question I shrinked office on my test rigg & now not installing properly on my main machine however installed perfectly on test would this be mach specific by chance?
  21. Listen dude be patient Im sure you'll get there in the end.
  22. OK then this is very strange to see this @ T39 especially with your entries in sif file. Sorry but try rebuilding your image again?
