As freudian mess-ups go, these simply have to be the best. Do post about whether it had the same effect on you, when you read it. (WARNING: needs 2 minutes of thought to understand what it means to say....)

LOLI like this comeback, and the original joke on top too!

meh! Most of us ain't programmers.... But then, who cares as long as its funny!

Hmm, Small images that get seen a bit lesser than the main interface..... it may not be on the top of priority just yet - because lot of changes are still planned. Also, I'm here to ask the admins to put in a lot of hacks/modifications So when most of the board is settled, then we'll start looking at replacing the icons, and so on... Thanks for noticing this and giving the feedback!

This sort of thing just seems to happen with us.... An acquaintance would call you up (phone) and ask you how to do something. Well, it wouldn't be quite so bad, if the person that wanted to get the info, stayed normal. Instead, they'd go all ballistic, pretend they know things, not give you the info you need (to instruct them), do things that you did not tell them to do (or run ahead of the series of instructions). Oh well....

haha someone's coming to kick something...

Sonu27, do you realise that you are replying to and bumping up a 5 month old topic without anything significant to be added? Please desist from doing that again, its called spam. If I see anyone doing that, I might need to disable their posting ability for upto a week.

This would be fantastic to have - but never seen anything like it. You do have it in KDE (shell GUI for linux) though.

Look at top of page, where it says "Logged in as: durex"Click your username there. Now your profile page opens up - click "Find member's posts" Easy? And of course, there is a " View New Posts" function. Look at top-right of page, its beside the "My Assistant".

Well, "upgrading" is known to cause problems. Its not to be blamed on MS either, because doing a ServicePack is almost like a whole new OS, more so with SP2. Slip-stream SP2 into your XP-disk, install it clean, and absolutely zero problems.

Alanoll told me this topic - http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=39114 the extension uploaded was RAR, but downloading is gz (gzip). And after download, extension of file inside the archive has changed and it is having invalid characters.... I don't know how it is happening, maybe it is something with how the user himself uploaded it... EDIT: Has been fixed.

No way to remove it totally. Disable recycle bin and that folder will be stopped in its tracks - but the folder itself will still exist and stay empty.
-
No, its XP-related. Disable System Restore and that folder will be stopped in its tracks - but the folder itself will still exist and empty.

XmaC, your attachment storage is not 0 bytes. The limit by default is 500 kB. So when you are in the post-reply form, it shows you how much of your attachment space is left. The solution is to increase the limit, but then you can understand how bad it would be if 40 thousand people were each assigned a few MB on the server. Probably we'll increase the limit for Dev Team, dunno.... Till then, adding any attachments will require one to go into their "My Controls" and delete old attached files.

oh my....Never question/argue with an admin or mod. Simply do what they say. -
Well, we have a totally new version of the forum now. You will see ten times more features all over.... The look of the board is only a small part - its fine as long as its light and loads fast (IMO). Before anyone denounces the new look, please remember that the alternative is worse... The original Invision skin looks pretty poor - it took us a lot of effort and time to get the skin remade for the new version. my 2 cents... As for the stars, remember Jeremy made this topic when we had still not changed it from the "pips" - but later (now) we have replaced it with the stars. The stars are smaller to fit-in with the new look. Anyways, stars is all about post-count and we don't encourage post-spamming here....

Not sure actually. Doing a recount is a lot of strain because its a scripted task and server would get weighed down heavily. But in the last one year atleast, there has been no recount I think. Because atleast 20 of my posts even after deletion haven't been reduced from the total. No, I'm not complaining, I like it that way. @ ^_^ Hey, that search tutorial is mighty handy - check out the pinned topic in uA forum. Also, the search function *DOES* search code tagged content as well.
-
No, your total can go down only when a re-count of posts is conducted. Otherwise deleted and moderated posts do not reduce your count.

that no one will refer to, because we don't encourage warez here.... -
out of certainty..... you haven't integrated the video card's drivers for the machine on which you are testing this disc, have you?
-
The funniest part, hmm.... Those words make as much meaning to me as probably greek or chinese letters would...
-
That $rename is only related to installations from DOS, and non-WinPE-based network installs. So those points are not relevant to CD-installs and WinPE-based network installs. Using the setup for nVidia drivers is doing it the long way.... Just use the OEMpnpDriversPath method that the guide (and Mekrel above) says.

can't figure out if i shuld put Drivers folder....
prathapml replied to kurt476's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Why would he, when he can get +3 post-count in the process..... No, but seriously Kurt, as durex says, don't do this sort of repetitive posting. It might lead to your posting ability being cut for some days/hours. -
You mean, as in, you dine out at a restaurant and leave a tip along with the bill?haha! there's no bill here, so no tip either.

google giving members 50 invites to give out.
prathapml replied to Astalavista's topic in Technology News
yeah, its quite surprising! Since last one week, everyone seems to be flooded with invites. Maybe they have concluded the beta, and will make it public now.
