  1. Too weird, sorry but I can't help you.
  2. Fixed in v1.1 Final when available. Let me know if you try it.
  3. I told you two times what to try but you don't listen. Of course that vLite adds a boot sector.
  4. Have you removed Snipping Tool?
  5. As stated on the homepage it's the NTFS bug, antivirus issue. More info on vlite.net "Reboot on browse" Only way to bypass is to uninstall the antivirus (or firewall, whatever is causing it since today's firewalls check files as well), and if you care report the solution found on the vlite.net to them.
  6. hannubys, origin of your issue is installing from HDD. Since that is normal Vista limitation not influenced by vLite I can't spend time trying to figure it out. Once I tried to boot it from the USB disk and it didn't do unattended. Other friend installs it from USB flash unattended without a problem, don't know why, there was some other topic on that on this forum.
  7. Once with the older CDRom drive (not saying that yours is old) I couldn't boot the burned ISO with nLite (same ISO engine as in vLite) but in Virtual PC it worked fine. Then I remade the ISO with mkisofs, burned it and then it was ok. So try the oscdimg, it will probably help.
  8. Confirmed your entry. But only that one found. It's part of Windows Search component, uses it for Filtering, long story short I will put it to be removed with the Mail as well, thx.
  9. I tried the IETab on 1.1RC and it works fine, can you confirm?
  10. In case when vLite's ISO engine isn't compatible with your drive you can install Microsoft WAIK and use oscdimg.exe to make the ISO after vLite. And then burn the ISO with whatever you find. ImageBurn, Nero...
  11. I was just checking your preset and noticed old version. Did you try 1.1RC ?
  12. Yes. I use IETab extension in Firefox. You can also use Maxthon.
  13. budhax, instead of all those screenshots you could have just attach the Last Session.ini file which has all the info inside it. The component is Natural Language. Keep it, then download 1.0 and remove Natural Language if it has it.
  14. They are not in the ISO, they are created by the Windows after/during install depending on your system (amount of RAM and ACPI abilities).
  15. Not easy but probably possible with this: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=102359&hl=
  16. On Monday, hopefully.
  17. If it was created with vLite 1.1rc or newer and the backup preset option wasn't turned off then you can find the "last session.ini" in the C:\Windows\Setup
  18. On Vista I remove IE itself but keep HTML Engine. No trade offs, haven't noticed any issues so far.
  19. yken, make sure that the drivers you integrate are for Vista only, WHQL signed. Check the folders and if they have a lot of INF files check which ones you don't need and delete them before integration.
  20. dcyphure, I presume you calculate your installed size with the pagefile and hibernate files included, that's not a proper way since they depend on settings in the System and your RAM amount. They are hidden in the root of the partition on which you installed the OS.
  21. Keep all components. Yup simple as that. And logical because SP expects a full OS and updates blindly, if some part is not found it aborts. http://www.msfn.org/board/SP1-rc1-download...ls-t108849.html

    New problem

Yeah it is the UAC removal. Unfortunately gonna have to keep parts of it to reenable that page. It wasn't a mistake, it's not the first time that parts of a component needs to be saved in favor of other basic functionality.
  23. It's probably the same Last Session issue which makes it to have more files than on the DVD, fixed for next one. Well you can copy it into some backup folder and do a fast copy by hand before each configuration, that's what vLite would do if there is ever such an option. No other way to modify it other than copy then modify. Or mount an ISO into a virtual drive and browse to that then it will act like from a real DVD but faster.

    N lite woes

Both of you attach your presets after you give up. Btw this can only be badly integrated hotfixes or update pack (usually IE7 order) or something like nforce sata/raid driver. Not removals. Well you could try keeping the SCSI drivers but that's all.

Several tries? That doesn't sound digital . Did you set the Computer Type in the Unattended settings to some other than Automatic? Also are those the latest sata/raid drivers you're using for your controller and make sure not to overclock anything, at least until you debug what's causing it. It's most probably the Computer Type setting, if not then try the other ISO Engine when making ISO, "mkisofs", it's in the dropdown menu.
