  1. Hello, Some DOS commands (prnport, prncnfg) doesnt work on my Windows Vista OS, customized with vLite 1.16 final. C:\> meaning: 'prnport' is not an internal/external command, an .EXE program or a command file. 'prncnfg' is not an internal/external command, an .EXE program or a command file. Why those DOS commands doesn't work on my system ? Is it my vLite config removing/disabling those DOS commands? Thanks and regards. Reference: http://www.ss64.com/nt/index.html MY OS CONFIG: - MS Win. Vista Ultimate SP1 French (customized with vLite 1.16 final) MY vLite CONFIG: http://www.airfirst.ch/b2/Preset116.INI
  2. Hello, I'm looking for some (at least 4) light vLite config where Vista "search file" function works. Please, could you post your vLite config in this thread? Could you also indicate the size (MB) of the ISO file? 1. The vLite config is here: C:\Program Files\vLite\Presets\Last Session.ini 2. Check if Vista "search file" function works: - In a Windows Explorer, type 1 letter in the Search field (located in top-right of the window). - Then, in this Windows Explorer, files should be filtered by the query (the typed letter) if the "search file" function works. Is vLite the only easy way to reduce Vista size? Thanks
  3. Hello, Just install this vLite (1.1 RC) Vista Ultimate, and the "search file" function (quick or advanced) do nothing. If I type any characters in the top/right search field in Windows Explorer, nothing happen (no result, files are not filtered). I guess, I checked (removed) a needed component for the Vista "search file" function. Which one? Previously, I had no problem using/testing vLite 1.1 Beta 2. Where may I download vLite 1.1 Beta 2? Thanks
  4. Hello, Context: Vista desktop and icons on this desktop. I call "Sensitive icon selection area" (SISA), the area around an icon on which the icon is selected when you click on this area. It's pretty hard to do a multiple icons selection using the "rectangle selection" (RS) way on the desktop, because SISA are very close. I think a SISA touches the left/right one, (they is no pixel between 2 contiguous SISA, or may be just 1 pixel). I mean, I must to start my RS next the icon filename. There I can click outside the SISA, and drag to build my RS. Is it clear? Question: How to reduce the SISA? If possible, I would the SISA matches the visual icon area, or its minimum frame. Do you know the registry key to be tweaked, to do this (reduce the SISA)? Thanks in advance. In other words (resume): On the Vista desktop, I would click between (visual area) icons without selecting one of them? Which reg. key to tweak to do that?
  5. Hello, Let's a MS Vista OS installed from a CD built using vLite. From this tweaked Vista OS, how to know the components selected to build the install CD? Thanks
  6. Nice tweaks, I think a line is missing in the file "eXPerience_Vista_Registry_Tweaks.reg", the bold one: ... ;Add "Edit Registry" to the right click menu of "Computer" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell\Edit Registry] @="Regedit" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell\Edit Registry\command] @="regedit.exe" ... Thanks.
