  1. I'm not very active on the forum lately because of a new features so don't worry if I don't respond. By looking at this suggestion I must ask which are those old drivers in the Windows that you need to keep...maybe only printers. Anyway this gave me a good idea...to scan for integrated drivers and be able to remove them...but I won't promise anything. I'll reply some more when I think about this and if I have something to add.
  2. mikesw, great info, thanks. Going to review it and if it seems useful I'll do it.
  3. I presume same as Alanoll. And it is possible to do and it is not something to be proud of nor that important...gonna put this into todo, forgot about it. But maybe it's good for someone wanting to modify more at once but on different folders...
  4. I know of this and it's not effecting it in any way except that those files will be left there even though they are not needed. Going to add this.
  5. Oldest which nLite supports is and will be Windows 2000, sp4 very recommended. Vista...well, here are the blockers: - Microsoft has made some nice (and usually hard to use) distribution tools, I'm trying them and I gotta say I'm not happy with it but it has some sort of component configuration...didn't work for me but that doesn't mean it wont so I would like to know how it will turn out before investing time in making those functions myself - nLitement of Vista will require, very probable for now, the Microsoft Vista image editing tool, which I am not allowed to distribute with nlite...meaning trouble...well you can download it yourself, we'll see about that part, the first fact is more engaging
  6. Eh...the old .net dependency discussion. It is big but it doesn't run in memory, except that .net 2.0 optimization service which is using almost no resources when needed and it's easily removable which i do. But the whole .net is just a bunch of files sitting there if needed. I don't see any downside...if it is needed for at least one of your favorite programs. Btw there is the Framework Lite on my site, it works for many. They started it with MFC runtimes in c++, it's all the same principle, just smaller and less functions, or in developer terms more redundant work.
  7. I would rather contact Symantec or just put a note on the site. Similiar thing happened with nLite and Antivir...someone told them and they corrected. It was Winrar Selfextracting exe.
  8. Yeah correction took like a minute...only one file was needed to be taken care of, others were automatic. What troubles me is that there is a problem with Windows 2003 version, does anyone care if I support ie7 integration for now just for XP 32 and 64 bit ?
  9. Uh I'm sorry for my silly post, I ment setupmgr.exe It can generate exact sif code for you. Once again sorry for posting in a hurry.
  10. You'll have to do more to convince me, or maybe someone else has this issue? I'm not saying that I wouldn't try that but I integrate drivers all the time, as a matter a fact I finally got a SATA drive and nlite worked from first try.
  11. You can use the sysprep from the windows deployment tools.
  12. Chill, chill. First of all no one has the right to change other peoples licenses, what kind of behaviour is that. This is a very weird case, you'll have to solve it in private, objective truth is known now you go and sort it out.

    x64 totally broke.

What So all this problems were from the cable, it's actually ok? Can you explain that problem a little better, it shouldn't matter if it's master or a slave, unless you had another slave on the same channel but then it probably wouldn't even boot?
  14. For the innocent public: we solved it...basically make a new thread when new rvm pack is out, it wouldn't clutter this one and we can discuss potential integration issues as well. Going to bed...dreaming of next beta...mmm
  15. Oh in that case monohouse you broke the law, if you confirm this you should remove that from your site. I don't see how can it affect you to hold it so tight if your whole work is not based on microwinx.
  16. Hey twoface What do you mean, you never used it. I don't mind anything to the limit, but do you see messages there is new nlite in your every version dedicated topic? If you do then I appologize.
  17. Ok I took some energy left at this late hour and this is it I hope: - license agreement of the microwinx has this weird line saying that you should pay 15k if you breach the license...which is what are courts for, no need to enter the sum, when you make something and put copyrighted signature in the program it's your intelectual property. - manoa made similiar project, I don't know if it's a rippoff, we'll see in the next episode Should I lock this I don't know...
  18. Can someone update me on this...who's selling what? Is microwinx in some way being sold? And who stole what...links please. note: haven't read it all, just got a note to come here
  19. Camarade_Tux, that could create some problems if they don't have routines what if it doesn't want to copy...I just rerun tts every day, one click and puf. Jeremy, I tried it and it's not there for me probably because I manually deleted some protected reg entry, going to automate that in the next one.
  20. I don't get it, why post here about the rvm pack so often? No pun intended but people... I wouldn't say anything if I don't get insulted every time I visit the RVM forum and see how they talk about nLite.

Try without any addons, at least virtually, there might be a reason. Also maybe you can attach setuperr.log from that broken installation, it's in windows folder. Of course if it's no empty.
  22. Thank you all, you're so kind Suren, aha Shuttle, from the quick look Automatic Updates and Remote are fixed but others will be checked upon for later. Thing is that most of them are in tweaks and that's not really my priority, and guys who helped there are no longer that active, thus the delays in fixing that area.
  23. Very good debugging, yeah I found that too, it was because of weird versioning of Ttfextnt.dll. Something like 2. 10. 10. 0. Those spaces were confusing the nlite's version parsing while comparing which is newer.
  24. Well thanks, that would be nice but until it's more spread I'll have to wait. Maybe there is already a Firefox addon or something?
  25. Wmp11 - will try Themes - sure bled, try to put sonypvu1.inf memstpci.inf into custom remove box, it should parse automatically, let me know if it didn't work as expected.
