I wouldn't have thought that disabling integrity or security check warnings was a good idea on principle, unless it was absolutely necessary to make the software usable. From what I've read here, the warning would only impact people if they messed around with the files! I certainly wouldn't ever expect to see it.

360 Extreme Explorer Modified Version
Dave-H replied to Humming Owl's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Potentially yes, but it depends on several things. Firstly, that the installation of Google Chrome is on the same computer. Obviously, you can't just move password files between computers, or someone could steal your saved logins by just copying your file to their machine! Also, if the version of Google Chrome was much later, the format of the file might not be compatible. Not likely to be the case on an XP machine, as the last Google Chrome version which works there is 49. Why don't you back up the equivalent file on Google Chrome, and just try it? If it doesn't work, just restore the original file.- 2,321 replies

360 Extreme Explorer Modified Version

It should be in the Program Files\360Chrome\Chrome\User Data\Default folder, if your installation is standard.- 2,321 replies

There will be no closing of threads due to such a trivial 'issue'. This is NotHereToPlayGames' project, and they decide how it proceeds. Please let's concentrate on getting what is probably the last version of this browser which can be used on XP up to scratch, and hope that it extends pretty much trouble free browsing on XP for a while longer. 360Chrome has already extended this for me for a couple of years, for which I'm very grateful.

I will try, although nothing has changed there as far as I know (360Chrome doesn't automatically update extensions without you knowing). This only started happening a few days ago. Other forums which use the same software, like the Malwarebytes forum, seem to have the same problem, the emojis window doesn't load.

How strange, it seems to have no adverse effect on my machine at all. I've never tried 360Chrome on Windows 10. On another subject, is anyone else having problems with the emoji on MSFN with 360Chrome? It was working fine until a day or two ago, now clicking on the emoji button just brings up an empty window with 'Loading...' in it. It's fine on Firefox 118 on Windows 10, so I assume it's not a problem at the server end.

I'm hoping that the worst is now over.

We've been suffering a spam attack, that's why flood control was enabled. Hopefully it won't have to be left enabled permanently!

To answer @VistaLover's question, I'm on a rolling subscription with Malwarebytes, which I renew every two years. I actually have two subscriptions, my original one, and a free one which was given to me by my bank for increased security when doing online banking. As I have two machines, both with Windows XP and Windows 10 on them, I use the first subscription to activate the Malwarebytes 3.5.1 installations on the two XP partitions, and the freebie subscription to activate the current version on the two Windows 10 partitions. Unfortunately each subscription only covers three installations, so I can't quite do it all on the free subscription!
