  1. Didn't get the email from M$ until today, although I'm beta tester for this.... Sorry guys!
  2. That's exactly the reason why I never "Cut and Paste". Always use "Copy"! After that you can delete the files as you please.
  3. NOD32 is installed on every single pc in my company and all of them are connecting to the internet through VPN in a linux server that is running squid to block access to most ports. And also, most webpages are blocked too... We pay our workers to do their job, not wander on the internet
  4. Basically use the command as stated in the previous posts and give the path to the folders. RD /S /Q "%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Pictures\Sample Pictures" RD /S /Q "%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Music\Sample Music"
  5. @eggie Running dxdiag will only tell you what version of DirectX you have installed on your pc as ripken said, not the version that is natively supported by your graphics card. You can check this in the manual that came with the graphics card. @ripken Was playing vegas on the rig in my sig at maximum settings without any trace of lag
  6. Have you tried looking in the Win 98 CD?
  7. It's the only codec installed on my pc Doing a great job!
  8. I see. Check Symantec software for logging options then. Never been a fan of Symantec myself...
  9. 1. Right click on My Computer ---> Properties ---> Advanced ---> Startup and Recovery, remove the tick from the box that reads "Automatically restart". 2. You can archive it (Or take out RAM until you get to the minimum possible, depending on the size of your sticks). EDIT: I forgot to say Welcome to msfn
  10. IMO, being for a Dell pc, using it on any other hardware will render it illegal.
  11. Being a w2k3 machine, you should look in Administrative Tools ---> Event Viewer. You can select there what should be audited and what not.
  12. Nice to see you too! Welcome to msfn.
  13. If you like the software and it does what you need, go ahead and buy it. All work needs to be appreciated.
  14. What you really have to do is setup your pc for a COMPLETE memory dump. That will tell us all we need to know. Do that and come back here with a link where you uploaded the complete memory dump for cluberti (and myself) to check it out. To create a complete memory dump, follow the instructions below: PS. The instructions belong to cluberti and all credit should go towards himself.
  15. Wasn't there!
  16. Just listen to crahak.
  17. Yep, single since yesterday
  18. Clean the drive lens.
  19. 1. Open up "My Computer" ---> Tools ---> Folder options ---> Show Hidden Files and Show Protected System Files. 2. On your C:\ drive look for boot.ini (it's a hidden file so you'll see it like in mist) and open it. It will look something along this: [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn After [operating systems] remove line 1 and 4. Good Luck!
  20. Start ---> run ---> gpedit.msc. Scroll down to Computer configuration ---> Windows settings ---> Security Options and look in the right pane for "Interactive logon: Message text for users attempting to log on". Good luck!
