Yes it does, thanks. Next time I'll read some info about what I'm commenting, I was right to be cautious before my statement.
  2. It's in the bottom of the list of "Advanced Settings" on the View tab, not just at the bottom of the tab.
  3. Try the card in an other computer to see if it causes erratic behaviour as well.

Because you install XP on the other computer on the "first partition", it will boot dodgy when you reimage it on the 2nd partition of your first computer, that's why it does work when you wipe the Dell partition. So create your image as a 2nd partition and it will work. Also unless Imagex is totally different of Ghost, it is not needed to format as the image will overwrite formattings and Labels.
  5. I see it's suggestion day, so here I go: I tend to keep my last_session.ini files but after a few weeks, it's hard to remember which was for the portable, which was for the sister, which was the final then for what friend etc... Obviously a check in the drivers section or date and hour it was made gives a good indication but in would be good if at any point in the program we could enter one or two lines comments that would be saved in the file. Furthermore, that line could be reextracted when choosing presets (importing last_session). I think.
  6. This wil get you hard coded users on the CD, not the ability to choose user names at installation.
  7. Have you checked "Skip OOBE" ?
  8. Update from when ? The official site has a driver from october 2006 which is not that old.
  9. Just use the ones you understand and you should be fine.
  10. You can use Ranish Partition Manager to have up to 34 (to be verrified) primary partitions on your disk but you can only see 4 of them once booted. There is a GUI to manage partitions and to choose which one to boot. You'll have to read the documentation before understanding what you do, as only that can save you from disaster. Also I can't tell how it deals with big HDDs. Use Ranish from a dos boot disk or cd, set the MBR on "Boot Manager" and TEXT, create a Boot Manager Partition at last cylinder (so you can always remember where it is). You can't format NTFS partitions from within Ranish but you can create them and format them later.
  11. Why do you expect trouble ? Kelsenellenelvian meant yes as .. yes, no trouble.
  12. Check the "Security" properties of the shared folders. Especially if one is under "Documents and Settings".

What "latest updates" do you integrate with the Integrator ? Ryan's integrator is for post SP2 updates, can't understand how you integrates SP2 after that. Also are you using a swedish translation of Ryan's pack ? (I can't see any on his forum at first).
  14. ... no Gygabyte mobo I£ suppose. (excuse me ) Press the IBM "blue key" at startup to choose an alternative boot device, it should let you boot from CD. Don't forget to "hit any key" as well if prompted to.
  15. Have you checked the menu Tools / Accounts / Properties / Connection in your Outlook Express ?
  16. Is the source CD made by yourself ? If not, it is possible that the administrator has beeen renamed and an other user named "administrator" was created.
  17. Click on the link provided above, chose your language and click "Change" if needed, then click the "download" button. When downloading it, Click SAVE not "RUN". It is possible that you do not need to redownload the file, search for it in your temp directories. As stated before, it is 266MB.
  18. You didn't happen to put the files in the "nLite install folder" but in the folder that contains the i386 folder on your HDD, did you (excuse me if it seems stupid but you must do something unexpected). I never used the direct burn option so I can't say but try copying the files yourself at first and not let nLite copy them from cd. Check that hidden and system files are visible and copied. Check that the files are there before creating the ISO.
  19. Does this apply ?
  20. Has it worked before or is this a new install and things are like straight out of the box ? What about 192.168.0.1 ?
  21. Of course you cannot replace one admin by an other. Do you not have the password for that first Admin ? Do you not work with those people ?
  22. Thanks, you save me an hour of unneeded tries on a computer that's 45 km away. I think that's one more "bye bye Win98".
  23. ... not hijacking the "last versions" thread... Does this mean that 1.4 works in 98se with video ? Or just that newer version has video but not under 9x (which I confirm) ?
  24. No.
  25. I guess the problem comes from your external screen being lower resolution so all icons "out of the screen" are put back in. You you can find an icon arrengement that fits both screens resolutions or set the external to same resolution as the laptop. Unless your laptop has a wide screen ?
