  1. My computer has just started giving me a "you are low on virtual memory" message. I've been using it for 3 years with 512 RAM for makng music and flight simulation without any virtual memory problem until now and I'm getting the notification even when I'm doing something simple like listening to media player or looking at jpegs. Any advice welcome.
  2. Hi Belgium, I went to view-toolbars-unlock and then I dragged downwards and, hey presto, my address bar reappeared. Thanks for the help. I've had adware problems recently and had run antspy stuff but I thought I'd have to reintsall Explorer when the address bar went missing. Thanks again, iaink
  3. My Address Bar has suddenly disappeared and it wont show when I go through view selection. Any ideas?
  4. Hi there, The machine is a Tiny Powerlite 320D laptop with XP SP2. Motherboard "to be filled by OEM". Drivers: I have SiS PCI to USB Open Host Controllers x 2 and PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller x 1 & 3 USB Root Hubs. Bios 080010. IDE/Atapi port driver. 5.1.2600.2180(xpsp_sp2_rtm040803-2158. Hope this helps.
  5. Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid I'm a bit of a novice on computer stuff. I've tried each of my 4 USB2 ports and the message comes up every time. My laptop hard drive is an IDE, 4200rpm Matsus***a and I have a 2.4 Ghz Celeron D Prescott Core processor with 533Mhz FSB and 512 RAM. If you let me know what sort of info would be helpful to you, I'll get it for you. Cheers.
  6. Every time I connect my 7200rpm external drive the computer tells me that the device can run at hi speed and that I should disconnect it fromt he USB drive it is attached to and connect it to one the drive shown - PCI Enhanced Host Controller - which has 6 unused hubs. Can anyone advise on how to do this, as my external drive is running very slow at the moment. My computer is 3 years old and came with 4 USB 2 sockets. Thanks in advance.
  7. Just after running some programs to deal with spyware I found that, although my machine is running vey fast again, I can't access any Yahoo mail as all the messages are blank and when I tried to set up a hotmail account I was advised that I couldn't as my computer won't allow cookies. Perhaps the two problems are related. So: 1. How do I allow cookies? 2. Any suggestions on how to make Yahoo open properly again? Thanks in advance. STOP PRESS Found a post on another forum with the same Yahoo blank messages problem: the solution was advised as deleting all cookies. I tried it; it worked!
