Msn message and/or windows messager utilities
XtremeMaC replied to HyDeNCiTy's topic in Software Hangout
I think they've msn+ edit: lol MCT split second faster! -
well I don't agree with u they need to patch it because as time passes new things appear and therefore the os has to support those new things. and since they can't possiblly know what's gonna happen in the future, they'll need to update....to make the os flexible..

OS Recovery from zeroed MBR harddisk? possible?
XtremeMaC replied to shapeless's topic in Windows XP
I've used r-studio's recovery program, but my hdd was not 0'd, but my guess is it'd still be able to recover though I should say acronis partition recovery might be able to do more because acronis products also contain a hdd wipe program so they should be able do a little better? though u need another hdd to backup your stuff.. -
|-offtopic-| I just wonder if my laptop's gonna explode if i try to play those games back on topic (slightly) I also heard that its gonna be released in the week of july 19th.. at least that's what the turkish version's gonna be..)

well as much as I love c&c series and don't like Starcraft I'd vote for SC. cNc series don't have much strategy in them, due to some extend thats what I like about the cnc series. and yuri hmm strategy? no way, make billions of yuri's and prime yuri's and u've all the map.. (sort of..) or build prism tanks all over and u've got it though I admit if anyone makes a LAN, cnc series is a must (well at least that's what we do with my friends..) and I've 2 SC fan's, they're more than fans. 1 watches every **** replay on the internet, works night and day, reviews strategies, makes billions of matches on battlenet. he talks eats s**ts SC. (a little boring) well at the end its all about mouse click and how fast u think of what your opponent will do. and I've to admit I admire, in korea they've a frigging stadium and make lan parties and matches for SC. children in usa play baseball and football, children in korea play sc all through their lives.. total ann = shogun + world map it was a nice game but lacks many things (the fun in my opinion) warcraft 3, I was never a fan of warcraft for some reason.. well after all 1 thing I like about starcraft is its sounds. "in the bay 5 by 5" well watch the alien series 1-2 mostly and play sc. its pretty similar in sounds and of course cnc series sounds! little bit of c4 knocking on your door. cha ching! chew on this.. your mind is quicker than the eye yuri is the master architect. I'll work for food allied rain forcements have arrived. a bomb launch detected, well of course generals is also one of a kind. though i'd still prefer red alert over generals... (sorry for the long post, its been a while since I last played cnc, well old good memories, hope to play it soon with my buddies in a long lasting LAN party!! )

wow such a good system (only if I had the money and if u shipped else where ) I agree with making a website with customizable options. its really easy to make it. and put the prices next to the model names. u know all the manufacturers have it these days. look at dell's website very customizable. checkbox'es and radio buttons and a form, and a little db I'd also put a min bid and show the price of what it'd actually cost so ppl won't have to go search for every individual price of each component. make a website advertise it. make a friend with some good review company and let them talk about your website and how good and fast u guys ship, let them say "what a nice support they've" u'd have to think BIG, well at least that's what i'd do if i wanted to sell computers. where do u get your components from? what advantage would the customers have if they choose u're company? their benefits? u'd have to get deals from some manufacturers to get a better deal than what ppl get from retail stores like best buy and etc.. otherwise your price would be much higher then what best buy has and therefore either u'd sell them for a lower price or won't be able to sell at all. u could also sell the components separetly... and I think 3 day listing is a short period of time. also u'll have to pay for ebay all the time for advertising. I dunno what to do about that, and name, name of the company or the website is important. if u're going to open up a company, I don't know how it works is london but u might have to do lots of paper work for a company. website would be easier?... (I hope u don't get me wrong, i'm just trying to help, I'd like to see the best from everyone..just quoting from what I'd do if i started a business like this...)

SIF error for LOCAL Language WinXP :(
XtremeMaC replied to OMERZEN's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
that would be the usb driver that's got nothing to do with turkish version. u might have made a mistake along slipstreaming it. or simply your cd might have scratches on it and therefor it did not get copied correctly. that file gets updated with sp1 i'm not sure about sp2 come to think about it did u use any removal programs like nlite? or jdeoboecks remove batches? selamlar.. sys dosyasi sp1 yamasi ile guncelleniyo, cd'ye sp1'i integre ederken bir sorun olmus olabilir veya eger sif dosyasinda hata veriyosa saniyorum cd'den bazi dosyalari silmis olabilirsin? if u want u can post your winnt.sif just to check but i doubt that's the reason winnt.sif dosyani istersen buraya koyabilirsin ancak bence cok alakasi yok.. ow btw I've done unattended install of turkish version many times never had a slight problem like that, though I prefer the english version -
normally there are 2 reasons for that kind of message 1. cd copy protection (which in this case isn't the reason) 2. your cd is scratched and therefore its unable to read it, if u go furthermore i'm sure its gonna say cylic redundancy error ... either change the cd or try it on another drive. some drives have better error correction then the others

hmm which particular word or sentence made u feel like flamed? but since u wondered I can flame u now, why would u, instead of looking for answer and doing what I told u, reply with an answer like this? this question u just asked only tells me that u're looking for trouble right?

what i do about this problem. I've a canon scanner I plug it in when I use it, if i don't, it slows down the startup of the system. well as said xp searches for p&p devices at startup, i know it searches all my other devices but my scanner makes some noise, the "head" of it moves up and down for a sec and that slows the system down. I don't know why the scanner feels like doing that up & down movement but anyways.. solution is easy and since its a usb device I mean just unplug it at startup. but I must say this happens after the boot logo, so its at when loading windows. so u're problem might just be a bootvis type of problem.. 1 thing to add to this I had a cdrom and with bootvis I found out that it was causing the delay. but nothing I could do about it since it uses the normal cdrom.sys, so I got rid of it... but that's unlike your situation, its a camera u can unplug it easly at any time... I've usb ports in front of the box so that's very usefull.. for its processes running at startup u can easily disable them and run all of them with a simple batch file when u want to use it.

no. if u feel u have problems with slipstreaming with xpcreate slipstream it normally, like u never heard of xpcreate.. but the switches for sp1 and sp2 and all the builds are the same so u should not have any problems slipstreaming sp2 with xpcreate... if u feel u have problems with sp2 post your log files...

instead of uploading it, how about a link to the website?

My brother's computer can't boot up to the desktop
XtremeMaC replied to Sgt_Strider's topic in Windows XP
that's what i suggested 1st too... anyways my hdd was giving me other errors soon it turned out that I was using 40pin cable instead of 80, I don't think that answers your question but u might wanna try? also maybe u've a virus that keeps deleting ntldr? copy the ntldr manually how to do in my opinion if your hdd is ntfs win98 and winme startup disk will fail so make a winpe and manually copy the boot files, if u want backup your stuff and reinstall xp from scratch.... -
that'd go under the Xplode forum (which will answer all your questions) and this install of inf has been laying around for a long while (no offense... i'd link it here, but i'm off to bed..)

custom batterypack for usb harddrive?
XtremeMaC replied to X-Ecutioner's topic in Hard Drive and Removable Media
if u're going to be on the road with a car get a car power cord hook it up to the lighter, or whatever u wanna call that plug in the car.. if the power dies the file u're working on is likely to be corrupt. I don't think anything else will happen.. Power(watt/sec) = I(amper) V(volt) so verify the watt your hdd needs and calculate it. overall i don't think its a good idea to use batteries instead hook it up to your car battery -

Problem with NERO 6.3.1.15 silent install (ntdll)
XtremeMaC replied to r0sWell's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
did u try to install it without the plugins? 2nd u can open the setup.exe with winrar and change the silent install options in the bar on winrar's right, to have less problems.... also ntdll does not come with nero. so it might just be bc of something else.. also for the install of the plugins, I think u've to install them to the plugins folder "program files\ahead\nero plugins" and finally the way u chosed your "" around the path name is not the best way to go with. instead change them to this:
