unattended.sourceforge.net was discussed earlier I'd say its not really popular bc of the not so nice gui they have and not so nicely designed documentation. @kenedy if u could look at that site all your answers are waiting for u over there, its just a click away from u!

be aware that some folders in program files directory are protected by sfc and will eventually come back after u delete them. heh annoying? I know I hate the xerox folder, I so much wonder what it does hmm I've a folder in there; just discovered its called nwwia ???

hmm I was going to suggest some things but looking at your pc's specs I can't really say why it'd happen u say memtest shows an error. best possible reason I'd say is bc of the ram. they are very fragile. if u could test it with another ram it would be good. and if u only had said u encounter that during the game I'd have thought u have a not legally obtained version of moh or nocd patch ... they sometimes tend to cause problems on some machines... how's the electricity over there? it might have done something. I mean if there are lots of up's & down's in the voltage somethings might have been corrupt, but I dunno. I'm totally guessing out of the blue

hmm well okay i just looked at mine most of my applications are installshield programs (mostly msi's) I'm not sure if it matters that much but I use them like this

I personally use a password! 1st I don't want anyone touching my computer (I always lock it when I'm not around) also I've a cat and he likes to sit on my laptop and press buttons 2nd when my friends come and look at my comp they look into this folder that folder grr it's annoying. I think its just a habit when someone seens other's computer they immeadietly start looking into it. (I'll try this after a clean format ) and yes remote control, I think its setup the right way. also if someone's using the same user as I do they're going to want to apply their settings and that just annoys me! Stay away from my comp!

yes but u lose your settings some tweak programs (xptweak I think) manages to restart the shell I still couldn't find how it does that. but there are other ways.. ok the reason for my documents poping up is : u have 2 explorer.exe's running(obviously at sepeare memories) after u close one explorer.exe and re open it it will give u the my documents folder in order to get back the full explorer u need to close both..

its not with exchange or sharepoint those lists: use it to mass mail, mass organize with rules etc. I mean it says personal dist list is there a non personal list? if so how do i setup that? what's the purpose of having a list? :cry:

no pls don't buy hp ! a noo ! overheating problems! my friends have xt6200 or something like that 1st cannot play much games and play movies cause it gets so hot and locks up 2nd friend's monitor's brightness died, and he has overheating problems as well they are p4 1.7 machines I don't even want to think how 64 bit 3ghz processors can heat up other friend has compaq: overheating problems as well!! other friends has toshiba sony & dell --> No problems! though I hate the stupid hdd noise that sony laptops make be aware cheaper doesn't always mean cheap bc it has less components inside. it also means worser equipment and more problems. I do advice if u're going to buy a laptop or not going to use it just for word processing save a little more money and get a better one. of course read some reviews. I mean they're all not cheap. and after giving like $2000 feeling like "oh man this crap, why did I not buy something else, it was $500 more," I have seen this feeling its not fun and u cannot really sell a crappy laptop to many ppl (might be wrong about this ) anyways read reviews and get suggestions from ppl in your profession. and/or from ppl who knows a little more that what u do (not saying u don't!)

why risk your girlfriends computer with sp2? (with its some annoying stuff) anywasys to accomplish what u want to do i'd go with ultravnc or anyother vnc programs, which are easier... no need for logging in or out, no need for domain or workgroup simply by ip, connect remote control etc.. I suggest put a password

I dunno

well if u want to run something in runonceex afterwards do something like this: make a command in the 1st runonce (at the end of it) to write a new entry (either to runonce or runonceex) and after a restart that'd be executed..

hmm when u said 64bit processer I thought u wanted spend lots of greens well I don't think u can find a 64bit processor cheap. simply bc its not widely common yet. what advantage are u gonna get over 32 bit? if u're just buying it for fun i mean u're gonna have to pay more.

that's wierd anyways i'd check the registry and manually change the type settings.. or simply install acdsee again.

Hi there I've several distribution lists in my contacts and I set rules to use them for example say google & yahoo are in AAA distribution list if mail recieved from AAA list put them into this folder : new folder now when I make this rule and add aaa list to the rule it tells me that (screen capture from one of my actual lists) and after I get this message there is like no point in making a list how can I make a list that outlook likes? Thanks.

u can change the icons by editing the winamp.ini I use these whichicon=3 whichicon2=9 for the skin u can also use the winamp.ini skin= (I don't use any )

totally irrelevant but I want to tell u that u have too many processes running on your computer I dunno how much ram u have but I can tell this much, they're are slowing down your computer

pretty good also pretty hard to follow but that's not bc of u its bc of the way the inf is set up. i'm sure u're even gonna make it better.

severals reasons 1st u might want to consider putting "" around it maybe I don't remember how mine was 2nd does the setup complain about some files missing? if so set the attributes of your office files to unhidden and apart from this I do think u need to put "" around that 300 in shutdown.exe ..
