well there was an article showing that MS used linux servers as well. that was pretty wierd and funny. but msfn? its okay. no one here claims that windows is the best of os's, we all are trying to make better use of windows and no one here works for MS. so i think its pretty allright to be using linux...

why not get a 500watt or more? i mean u've given that much money for all those components.

well it could be bc of several things first and the worse would be your tube's in your monitor could have gone bad, and when they do this they tend to show pinky colors (at least my very very old monitor did this its like 10years old ) 2. the pin's on the cable's monitors could be broken. 3. u might just mistakenly changed the color profile of your screen and maybe put too much hue in it? 4. haven't heard any spyware, virus that turnes your computer into pink colors but might be a gay virus or something 5. i'd laugh at this one but maybe mistakenly u decided to choose a pink desktop theme? 6. there is a fix for stand-by issues, especially for usb devices not booting properly; search microsoft for updates, though I think its fixed with sp2? at least it should be bc this fix I believe was released after sp1.

ow wow hey u didn't know u played cs widnez_boy !! anyways for that pressing 3 button purposes u can write or get already written scripts for key bindings. back when bunny jumping was avaliable they were very usefull and u could find billions of bindings. so i'm sure they're still somewhere on the web.

hmm hello I think u need a little more knowledge on the topic I don't think u assume all the tv's are the same, all the speakers are the same right? I mean there are home theathers have u tried them? what's the watt output of your speakers? did u set the right method of sound output? (surround, dolby digital etc.) ? u cannot blame the dvd's they mostly recorded at ~6000kbit and sounds areound 224kbit (I think it was more) so that's nothing bc of the dvd's. go buy a better speaker! ow and dvd's cost much less than what u have said. u can get 1000 dvd's and per dvd will be about $0.50..

Hi there yes as u guessed I'm going to ask which card to buy but this time I'll be buying it for sure bc the rally games that I'm buying won't work on my graphics card and I'm going crazy over here bc the demo's don't work (colin mcrae rally 2005, richard burns rally) bc of the pixel shader crap. anyways now my bugdet is limited to $200 (could go up to $250 if someone says that I really really really gotta get *that* card.) I don't have pci express slot so its only agp 3.0 for me I've always been a fan of nVidia. now there are lots of brands and lots of cards and i've been looking all over the internet for larger and better comparison but as of yet I got more confused. first comes the question which brand is better? is brand that important? (by brand I mean asus,pny, xfx, msi etc..) and lately ppl have been talking about a brand called BFG I dunno that?? asus has always been the most expensive one but I never had the chance to compare each brand 1 by 1 I want to get good performance on my games(of course) and won't be upgrading for a long while.. also other issue now there are cards like 128mb ati 9800xt and 256mb pro versions so how would the increase in ram relate to performance in games? then should I buy a nvidia chipset or ati chipset? if it was those days when nvidia came up with jet fan's and 2 pci slotted cards I'd go with ati but nowadays nvidia seems to keep up with ati, SO these in mind help me pls and sorry for posting in the wrong forum, the hardware forum doesn't seem to get enough hits to convince me, thanks for understanding why am I picky about this graphics: I always made the wrong decision about the graphics cards started back when 3dfx was alive. u're probabaly right I'm still using 2096 on my current machine (i cannot upgrade the beta so waiting for my new 2.5" 7200rpm hdd and then will be formatting with my new nLite'd sp2 install) though already installed sp2 rtm on my desktop

edit: okay got it correct now: cscript.exe is updated from 5.6.0.6626 to 5.6.0.8825 same goes for the rest still wondering if there is a change log??

heh they called him a virus, what more could they do hopefully they didn't call him a bug
