so then disable the launching or nero.exe roxio stuff. or disable the "install programs" thingy.. and i'm sure there is a setting under gpedit.msc (user policy) or a fantastic approach. u could install the cdrom driver to all workstations instead of the cd-rw driver disable imapi.sys .... or u can download firmware that disables the cd writing feature and apply the firmware to all computers ow for your info, some cd burning software were disabled in my school, so i used command prompt cd burning programs so u could disable that too but i dunno how

well i've been playing all the nfs series they're all pretty fun. yes there are many other better games, but this is a game to be played as well. nfs series were never simulation games, its Arcade type of game, so if u want physics and real life stuff don't buy nfs series. u cannot compare nfs to gt series. so much different!!!. okay about the black edition, the only difference i know in the black edition is the dvd movie that comes with it, and its totally crap. i couldn't stand watching it, but i did, expecting to see something more interesting .. also i'd prefer brooke burke over josie maran, at least for the game i think graphics are good. 32 cars in the game (same in normal/black edition) storyline's okay. races are good. some of them really challenging. some of them real easy. but if it was too hard ppl would be like "oh what the hell i cannot get pass this, let me cheat." and your life shouldn't be about beating the game. i've friends who are giving all their time for beating the grand turismo series. u've to play it over and over again to beat the records and etc. but why? does that get u anywhere, u drive better in real life? both of them are for pleasure. cops! they're really pushing. in nfs hot pursuit they weren't trying this hard to catch u, here is like a Grand theft auto kind of thing, do more bad stuff more cop's on your a**, u get busted and stuff. i think this game's every car modder's dream. and yes it could be better. but lots of things could be better. starting from my internet speed also its pretty wierd that this game's not on a dvd. i mean 4 cd's what the hell's ea thinking??? i thing i can definitely say is the MULTIPLAYER sucks! again what the hell's ea thinking, its a single player game everyone will finish in a week so focus more on the multiplayer! its just ciruit/drag. the drift in underground series was awesome they shouldn't have taken that out.. i played this on Lan, i dunno about internet play but i don't think it'll change...

there is a saying, it doesn't smoke if there isn't any fire. which means there is got to be a cause for the bragging to occur, it makes more sense in turkish of course so i'm sure this guy didn't sue for fun. these consoles are meant for playing 24/7 they're mainly done for kids anyhow. they sit and play for 24/7, when it crashes it the mom's and dad's job to get it fixed. and this is no marketing, its not like MS offers a better xbox at better price or fan system or anything like that, its just simple matter of doing things with the right tools...

erm there is post count which is statistical version of the title bar. name changes as the post count increases also the pip's increase.. a reputation system would only be able to show users contribution or the rating or something. but i'm tottaly agains the rep system..it starts war and people start begging for rep.

well there are many things that could be said about this problem 1. lower the graphic options in the game 2. your ram is low so i'm sure windows after some point writes to the paging files. "virtual memory is too low, windows is increasing etc.." type of thing. and if u don't have a lot of disc space it'll freeze. 3. get the latest stuff (drivers, sp's (unofficial win98 sp pack, etc) 4. defrag / close other programs / etc. 5. scandisk.. why? bc maybe when windows is trying to write to a specific path on your hdd it might be damaged and it might not be able to write there and therefor it reset. its known issue that win98 messes up the hdd. bad sectors all over the hdd's are possible.. also u can memcheck your ram..

first i think this is under wrong forum.. anyways. r u using legit copy of the game or what? also does your comp fit the min requirements? do u have latest drivers? do u have latest directx? etc etc.. run on a lower configuration: lower resolution, 16bit color. etc turn antialising off etc. etc. etc..

anyone have any problems with crashing or accidentally closing windows/tabs or electricity going off causing u to lose all your tabs/windows? then use opera, if u manage to crash it + other stuff i said, your tabs/windows will come back when u run opera again. and since it reads them from cache its pretty fast... also now with opera 9 u can customize a lof of things just like FF. i use all the functions in opera. there are links in a page? in ff and in ie u'd have to copy them 1 by 1. but with opera just press f4 and click on links and it'll have to the links listed. and u can even search copy/paste.. usefull when i'm dling stuff. also other feature i use often is the show pictures/hide pictures tab. i sometimes just want to read stuff no need for pictures, faster!!. ow do i need to tell u about the built in RSS support, lovely! + browsing back the history is so fast!,

there are not many spammers in this community. maybe in the nlite forum there are bc when there is a new release there are many ppl saying "nlite's the best, yiey, thanks nuhi, etc." sort of stuff but other than that ppl thank when a usefull answer is given.. to me member group is useless. post count pretty much says it all u can change the title anyhow.. if u feel like u're MSFN Junkie type that in the title.. but current ranking is fine by me...

u can just disable the page file. it'll prompt u to restart b4 restarting u can use boot time defragmentation to fill those places that the pagefile used. also http://www.sysinternals.com has a very nice program called page defrag, its used for defragging your page file and system hive files.. http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/PageDefrag.html after these use smartplacement and free space consolidation with perfect disk to get the max from your hdd... note: putting the paging file on another partition is useless and might decrease performance. consider putting it to another hdd or get more ram and disable the paging completely. after all if windows really needs the paging file after having 512-1024mb ram it'll create & increase the paging file on your c drive...

well i think he wants to sue bc maybe he heard a lot of complaints then he was like "wtf? i just bought this and it crashes this often? **** u ms u should have bought ps2/waited for ps3" etc then decided on suing. what can the customer service do other than waiting u on the line for a year and replying with non-sense? replacement? replace it with another xbox? what's going to be the difference? its going to freeze again. and refund? will they refund the games as well? maybe he doesn't want a refund bc he's favotire games made for xbox... so he just wants to gather up some ppl and force MS to make better stuff. u don't even have to gather up a lot of ppl i mean look at the sony spyware issue. many ppl sent their cd's back and stopped buying and asked for uninstall software etc etc. u cannot do that kind of thing on xbox. request a firmware? hmm not going to take the heat off the thing. request another fan or a bigger fan? who's able to fit it in? ow pay the technician? yea right. anyone thought of these?

opera 4 ever i've always hated netscape, even more that i hate ie. i use ie sometimes, but i despise those who use netscape!! firefox and maxthon also have nice features some functions are even better than they're in opera but i like everything about opera.!!

hmm wow bit early we haven't had much snow this year just bits of it not enough for skiing. but hopefully it snowed on other regions in Turkey. i wouldn't put all those christmas stuff this early. after all u should put it in christmas time. otherwise when the day comes u'll get used to the decoration and might be bored of it and it won't feel as special as it should.. ow but it looks nice bought the presents too?

i've seen many complains on overheating and freezing of xbox. u can even watch it on gamershell.com http://www.gamershell.com/download_11625.shtml i do like microsoft but u've to admit that every product they make have flaws man. of course i dunno what this guys problem was. maybe he put it next to the heater or he never shut it off, i dunno but still its not that hard for ms to fit a bigger fan into the system. u can sue ms but what does this guy want from ms? new xbox? better ventilated one? we dunno. either ways i'd say its a go. i'm with the dude who is sueing. after all xbox is for all ages. u cannot expect the kids to shut the xbox off or have it ventilate with an extra fan. so ms should have considered these issues..

well i dl the firmwares from nomadworld.com and i use redchairsoftware's notmad manager with my zen xtra everything works like a charm. try uninstalling everything related to zen from your computer then reinstall, also try changing the usb/firewire port it uses. this way it'll treat the zen as new device...

seems pretty but that keyboard is useless. u cannot really use it like a keyboard which i mean u cannot press the buttons in the middle when u hold the device from its edges... but on the other hand it features a lot of things and its good that it uses xp instead of windows mobile. this way u don't need to worry about the conversion..

well i think the company supports might be okay. we here, know a lot, possibly more than what those support ppl know. so if u call them to ask something its hard for them to answer vando2k said don't but from any, customize your own. well if a user knows that there is an option to customize his/her computer (build it from scratch) he/she has some understanding... also there is the problem of explaning yourself and how the support personal percieves your problem. ow and dell computers are pretty good. my laptop's been running for 3 years always on. except restarts.. and it has not failed nor crashed bc of any problem...

its really a shame on sony. even if they were going to add this kind of tracker on the computer they could at least made a better software from it. hide anything with $sys$ from windows?? that just plain stupid algorithm. I think people shouldn't return at least 1 of their CD's. If everyone returns those there will be no one to claim that it was actually infected with the crap:D the next step will obviously be drm'ed hardwares all music cd's should be banned from this world along with floppy. Instead make programs like napster 2 and have higher quality wma's. and make each single track avaliable for purchase. This way everyone will buy their favorite track. I don't buy Cd's that much. Just because an artist made a cd with only 1 good song in it, tells me that i'm not going to pay for the whole thing!. I don't really consider that to be effort and because of a single track they get richer and richer. make a single then!.
