winrar winzip that's very wierd. i think u've another problem in there what should they have any problems at first place? that's wierd. i think your system might have slowed down overall. usually working processes can and will slow down your pc. also startup items slow down the pc a lot. ow and for norton **** sure that u're pc will slow down!. u can defrag your hdd. and how many programs do u have? also scan your registry for errors and unwanted entries. delete temp files defrag your reg. and u said in the beginning it was working fast and now its slow. that's the way it is with windows and lots of programs. 1 method is formatting.. 2nd method is the things i've mentioned above also clean your prefetch folder. and for winzip and winrar i still do not think that they can have any problems with working along its not like they use anything same. (like nero and alcohol or daemon tools etc.. they caused problems bc they use similar scsi virtual drivers etc..)

i agree with prathapml, it's working as if i haven't changed anything same as sp1, dk8, sp2 dk8, dk9 i've been trying out perfeckdisk 6.0 and I think its better than diskeeper.

thats not true i've installed it and its english (the one i've dled from msfn) but there are other nero 6.6.00 releases on the internet... and from what ppl said its a demo which is expired or something like that so unless u've an already installed nero its going to say demo...

RyanVM Windows XP SP2 Update Pack
XtremeMaC replied to RyanVM's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
so maybe its easier to make a log when its slower hahah -
they are 2 different games. there is also moh/cod they are also different just bc the name has battlefield in front of it doesn't really state the game's gonna be the same, for example i play both, battlefield: desert combat & bfv, anyways its a different taste ppl have so.... also afaik i don't think boats can be reloaded. i never did it (i usually prefer planes, heli's and I usually just stop using the boat and switch to machine gun if i'm out of ammo..)

RyanVM Windows XP SP2 Update Pack
XtremeMaC replied to RyanVM's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
@battleangel3222 erm no that'd be pointless since all updates are in sp2 just go to the website and READ! @ryan THANKS! -
@prathapml hey don't get me wrong i'm not trying to steal your method or your thread, the reg i posted is very much the same with your method, just pointing out that there are alternatives... alternatives for ppl who don't use send to as I don't and who are not so patient... not trying to be a smartazz... sorry if i offended u...(but i'll make this comparison) 1. right click on the file 2. go to send to 3. wait for the next box to open up, (my send to menu always opened slow on the rare cases that i mistakenly clicked on it) 4. scroll down to find edit with notepad, (if u have lots of send to's thats more scrolling) 5. & click to open. 1. right click on the file 2. click on open with notepad just my 2 cents... @prathapml why do u make this such a big deal, everyone knows your intelligence, alternatives are always good, there are always competitions between 2 different methods, most programs do the same thing but different ppl buy different software and therefore prefer 1 or the other..

i personally use ultra vnc for this purpose. well another purpose. my sister always has some sort of problems and i'm sick of walking down to her room and clicking a button, so i open up the vnc and click the neccessary buttons and since i've passworded it i open it (sometimes without her knowing it) so unless u move the mouse on the other screen the other user won't know u're looking at the screen and if u only want to look at the screen u can disable the mouse option...

for ppl like me who have slower internet than most ppl (256k adsl <-- shouldn't even be called Adsl anyways) i'd prefer having things on a cd. i know i can just copy/paste steams directory, but i like to install (just like not ghosting but unattended install ) but 1 thing i could change my mind is everyoften steam updates itself so if i install steam, install the game, then it'll update everything (if they rely on steam on don't release dlable exe patches) and that'd be better to keep the updated copy.. well what the hell i'll wait purchase then decide
