Thanks (i was going to post it in hosting, but i think its not the same as hosting...)anyways its going to be moved if its on wrong forum

well of course the translators have no means of understanding exactly what u're trying to type. its not something with google. all the translators are like that unless the check for sanity of the sentence... also it won't understand jargon words. scientific words etc. try typing holy shi_t, i wonder what u'd get as translation

Hotfixes For Windows XP Professional SP2
XtremeMaC replied to Aaron's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
well no, u can just replace the envir variables with the strings, that's what i'm working on right now i still wonder how the cat files registered?? if its not important we can just add this section to a hive*.inf file or add this to an inf right? it wil have no interaction with the sys file whatsoever, so everything should be fine my hivesft.inf we can just append to this and everything should be fine ow and add the KB884020.CAT file to the dosnet.inf.... but i'm still not sure if we actually need to register the cat file (don't even know how to do it) i'm pretty sure we don't need to install the cat. can someone just add this line to their install and test it out with vmware or vpc? (i'd but my current system is really really crawling and i'm about to study.....) i really do think it will work nicely. -
Hotfixes For Windows XP Professional SP2
XtremeMaC replied to Aaron's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
hi there i haven't looked into this much but why can't we just execute the inf at some point (or add it to hive*.inf's) and just replace the tcpip.sys with the new and the patched one? we can just edit the path to the tcpip.sys file and everything should be fine? no? or a new and easier inf could be written -

LG [HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8481B] Driver problems
XtremeMaC replied to ABEO's topic in Hard Drive and Removable Media
well there are severals reasons for buffer underrun but driver dissapearence is wierd though not that wierd bc i've had the same problem. all my optical drives along with virtual drivers disappeared after something i couldn't find as of yet, so what i did was i uninstalled all the optical drivers from hardware, (if u don't see them click on view hidden devices and remove them) then looked at cdrom.inf and copied the "copy" files to a folder along with the inf. (the files are everywhere, driver.cab and sp2 cab has them..) and installed the inf and after a restart all my drives came back. and for buffer underrun, possible reasons, 1. u don't have enough ram (u're using lots of programs during the burn) 2. i'm not sure but does your cd-rw have buffer underrun protection? (they definitely help) 3. try finding a new firmware for your cd-rw (be carefull if u flash the wrong firmware it might become useless) 4. your drive could be dead or simply the laser might need little cleaning 5. the quality of the blank media also very important, have u changed it recently? if not see if a good brand of blank media helps. also u shouldn't be looking for drivers. don't even search for them bc xp uses xp's own driver which is cdrom.inf, u'll only come up with dos drivers if u search for it and they're useless under xp.. -

i'm not a mod but i'd move this to polls section maybe? anyways despite some annoying new stuff like dep and stupid activex and pop-up stuff and security center its good well its probably good for average users but i'm very very annoyed by them and also average user, when trying something for the first time say he wants to open up a webpage and it has flash animation or something or something that uses activex they'd be stuck and be looking at a blank page with active X warning, and most ppl who are afraid of doing something wrong won't even click that button to learn more, and will have to call tech support for just watching a flash animation I think thats kindda stupid, but they've to somehow prevent the junkware from stepping in.... ow and the annoying firewall!, my friend installed his sp2 cd, didn't want me to add some stuff to it, so he installed everything and complained about his internet not working properly, guess what sp2 firewall .. anyways its good to have sp2 bc this way I don't have to add all those hotfixes to the install and thanks to nlite i can install xp in no time
