  1. which one of them is also good for karoake? lol. You serious? I'd have to wager the audigy series. Either one will work.
  2. Many factors slow down the speed of your connection. Firewall, too many users at a certain site, hard drive cache full/near full, slow computer, someone on the network is streaming media. Like rendrag said, post up what kind of network you are running, the type of internet connection you have, how the computers are sharing the internet connection, and what programs you have that access the internet; including virus scanner and firewall if any.
  3. Here's what I want you to do. Go into the My computer icon and find the program that you want to run. Copy the location on the address bar and put it inside the quotes of where I put location of program without anything extra. Okay? runas /user:administrator "location of program" So, if for example the program was in C:\program files\inferno\apache\apache.exe, then the program would look like this: runas /user:administrator "C:\program files\inferno\apache\apache.exe" Exactly like that. I hope this helps you and post back if it works or doesn't. Good luck.
  4. **** man. My mom works at a place like this only not at this size. It's amazing how organized and clean and especially huge it is. Just imagine being within all that merchandise.
  5. Anytime you get a firewall for a server you should always get a corporate edition. Those are streamlined for use instead of looks.
  6. Here's what I get from the whois database: United Colocation Group, Inc. ASN-UNCGI-EXC-02 (NET-63-246-128-0-1) 63.246.128.0 - 63.246.159.255 Guido Mora SAGO-63-246-129-160 (NET-63-246-129-160-1) 63.246.129.160 - 63.246.129.169 Every once in a while my firewall says that my pc wants to connect to an ip but it's usually microsoft or from some program that I know about. Here's some info about port 2574 UDP from the auditmypc.com site:
  7. Western Digital is know for reliability, at least with the newer drives.
  8. The file is proabably optomized. Also, an ISO is a type of compression but again, you mainly see this when the iso is optomized.
  9. When you encrypt data, there should be a recovery agent who can deencrypt your data and give you access again. Or, you could try and use the windows backup utility which has this niftylittle work around. I've only tried the win2k backing up xp but it should work the same. Open the utility up, on the first page of the wizard, if you have it, click the Advance Settings button. It's in blue. Click the backup tab and choose which files you cannot access. Click browse to choose a place where you can later access the file, and click Start backup. Click start backup again on the new window. Once you do that, click the restore and manage media tab. Keep clicking the plus signs next to the files and folders of your backup. Or collapsing to keep it technical. Put a checkmark on the file(s). In the restore files to drop down list, click alternate location and click browse. Then choose where you want the file, or leave it in it's default location. Click Start restore. This time, click the advance button and clear the Restore security check box so that it doesn't have a checkmark. Leave the rest as-is and click ok. Click ok again and just wait a while depending on how much you've backedup. Hope this helps.
  10. You can just pick up a creative labs audigy from new egg. If you want to stay in your price range get the creative labs sound blaster live! 24-bit . It's around $30 and it's pretty good. This is the Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit retail This is the Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit oem This is the Audigy 2 Value OEM This is the Audigy 1 OEM Keep in mind thought that it's oem so you wont be getting any extra goodies like cables. Also, the audigy 2 is named value because it doesn't have the firewire ports at the back but it's still generally the same as the regular audigy 2. BTW, it's $49.99 for the audigy 2 and $55.00 for the audigy 1 so you'd go a little over on these two.
  11. Plextor is like the Western Digital of the burning world. When you ask if it's worth it, it depends on how much burning you are going to be doing. If you wont be burning constantly, and by that I mean every minute of every day, then you can go for a lower price brand.
  12. Go to safe mode and do a virus scan.
  13. The user acct. on any computer has limited capabilities. You wont get very far. You should always use an acct. with administrative privelages to do any maintanace or configuration on a computer. Or, for security, log into the user acct. and from the run prompt just type in "runas /user:user_with_administrative_privelages "name_of_program/file"" Now, I used double-quotes, you don't need the first quotes, just the ones in between the program name.
  14. Not to sound ignant but what's xplode?
  15. Why not use Elaborate Byets VirtualCloneDrive? It's free, fast. VirtualCloneDrive
  16. When cd-r's where the only thing out there, I bought a 50pk for $10. I tought I hit the lottery.
  17. The thing about xp is that you only get 10 conn. at once.

A password jumper would be badass! Never have to worry about lost passwords anymore. But if you can't login at all then you can forget the win32 software. Try and get a dos based program to crack ur password.

Why not use cain? It'll give you the passwords for every acct.
  20. I was just thinking about something, I haven't read this thread for a while so excuse me if I'm repeating something. Under an ISO reader, extract the boot file. Rename it, if you have to, to a .bif extension. Open it up in the ISO reader again and there should be files in there. Active@ does this for their free utility. They save the programs in the boot file.
  21. What are you running in your system, hardware-wise?
  22. Yea, that overhead is a pain. But to be honest, I've seen a 50pk of dvd-r's at fry's for $20. It was really because it was a cheap name brand.
  23. I think it looks too mackish. And by that I don't mean clean.
  24. I'm sorry is this sounds rude but, are you asking how to logon to use the program from the network? If it is, it depends if you are in a domain or in a workgroup. If you are in a domain, it depends on whether you have the program on the server or on a machine. If it's on the machine, it's similar to doing it in a workgroup. First of all, what operating system are you running?
