  1. Naw, it's neither of the two. ****, it was an awesome program. But I'll test out, if they allow it, the other two. Thanks guys.
  2. If it's rebooting when it's at a hardware check then it more than likely is a hardware issue. If it's rebooting when it shows the winxp status display, then it's proabably a driver issue.
  3. You can't actually look at the page file. But if you want to know where it is, it's a hidden system file called pagefile.sys. It's in your root directory. To see it you have to uncheck the hide system files setting in foler options. To see any errors, you have to look at the log file in the %systemroot%\minidump folder.
  4. The first key would be caching of passwords via the internet. You can change this in IE or whatever browser you are using. The second one is more for internetwork password caching. If you want to prevent caching of passwords over your network, change the second key.
  5. I was wondering if anyone knows of a program that is used to take control of PC's over a network. I can't remember the name but I'll give the some spec's that I remember. One option that it gave you was to either ask the client for permission to install the necessary files to allow it to be controlled, or to just go ahead with out explicit permission. It also had the ability to search for all devices on the network. I completely forgot what it was called. Any help is appreciated. Also, if the post icon is wrong I sincerely apologize.
  6. Generally that would require getting the phone company involved. The closest you'll get is getting the ip address, finding out what ISP has that range and either cracking their servers to get the info, or socially engineering the people at that ISP.
  7. I was talking about physically connecting a PC to a router at the back, where there are usually only 5 ports. I'm pretty sure you can only connect 5 pc's to those ports unless you have ICS running on one of the computers, or you have a switch/hub connected to any of the ports. I proabably shoulda mentioned that. But yea, unless you have either a switch/hub/wireless/ICS running, you can only have however many ports are hooked up to the router.
  8. The sqm files are operation flashpoint files, at least according to http://filext.com. Run a full virus scan on the harddrive. Afterwards, run CWshredder, and then HijackThis. Lastly, run some type of ad-ware scanner like spybot, or ad-aware.
  9. If it's a virus, get f-prot virus scanner for dos. It's free. Generally, your computer reboots because of either heat, or the power supply can't handle the load you have on it. Check to make sure that the fan in the psu is working. One final thing to check is ur memory. Have you recently done anything inside of your pc, hardware-wise?
  10. Might be that you have old cookies. Clear your cache first then try.
  11. Most routers only allow 5 users to be hard wired. If it's wireless, that's a different story. Maybe somebody is loggin into the network and using ur connection to download massive ammounts of files. Post if it's a wired/wireless connection. Also, what brand/model is the router?
  12. It's actually 4.3 unless you can overburn.
  13. That's proabably your mouse that isn't supported. Try using an older PS2 mouse if you have one around. Or maybe even a COM mouse.
  14. Here's the search for free content filters at download.com Coudln't tell you about any free time limiting software. Just go to download.com and search. Keep in mind though that filters rarealy do any good if the user knows even a little about proxys.
  15. I've heard of viruses corrupting scanners. It's usually the ones that are really nasty and can survuve even after you reformat ur disk. If you want to be sure, get a copy of Active@killdisk. The free version overwrites ur disk with 0s. Not the best security but it'll really clean up the disk of any remnants of whatever you may have.
  16. That folder is used if you ever want to uninstall the windows updates.
  17. That reminds me. I played that game. Let me tell you. FUN. It was actually rather easy but definately entertaining. But it's old. Just go out and buy it.
  18. How hard is the 70-270? I'm trying to learn on my own by using the M$ self-paced training kit and the OS. Also got a cramExam book.
  19. Yea, like I said, it's been a while. Makes sense though.
  20. lmao. Do ur prisoners take advantage of the dropped soap?
  21. I'm pretty sure virtual pc doesn't support anything below win3.1
  22. Just go to the local security policies snap-in and follow what chilifrei64 said from there. Keep in mind that it's been a while since I've worked on server so i'm rusty.
  23. You could use logon loader And get the screens from themexp.com, deviantart.com, or belchfire. Or you could make ur own. I'm sure there's a bunch of tutorials on how to do it.
  24. Ur serious? IMDB? The movie database?
